Associate News Producer - Weekend

The Weekend Associate News Producer will provide local information needed to cover an emergency type situation occurring in any EMF market. The Weekend Associate News Producer will also be charged with helping to produce K-LOVE and Air 1 branded public affairs assignments in a timely, fresh and professional manner. In addition, this position performs Newsroom administration to include, but not limited to, administration of News pages on respective websites and completion of other Newsroom assignments.

Required Qualifications :

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the Radio News Industry.
• Demonstrated ability to creatively edit & produce public affairs programming and news segments.
• Demonstrated ability to research public affairs assignment topics, conduct interviews, and assemble into program segments.
• Demonstrated flexibility and ability to keep pace in an ever changing news environment.
• Strong computer skills; and other desktop audio editors.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build trust and value others, communicate effectively, focus on the listener, and collaborate with others.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems creatively.
• High level of integrity.

Required Education:   BS/BA in Broadcasting, or equivalent experience

Hours Of Work:    One 6-hour shift on Saturday and one 6-hour shift on Sunday. Shift hours will rotate from week to week.

FLSA Status:    Hourly Non-Exempt

Human Resources Generalist

K-LOVE and Air 1 Radio Networks is headquartered in Rocklin, CA. With over 600 signals in 46 states, and over 300 employees to partner with, we are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our Human Resources Team. We won’t lie. The ideal candidate is going to need a unique skill set to keep up with our creative and technical staff and work well within the HR Department. We are specifically looking for someone who is:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR (PHR Certification preferred)
• Solid understanding of State and Federal Laws, including leave programs and disability

• Employee Relations experience
• HR core knowledge in workers compensation/safety; employee orientation; loa’s; relocations; performance reviews/planning, or other areas of HR

Lease Administrator

Position Summary:

The Lease Administrator will assist in the overall responsibility for EMFs Lease Administration. This includes: procurement and negotiation of new leases, renewals, maintenance of lease database, terminations, periodic adjustments, and maintaining current insurance certificates of coverage on its translator and station sites as necessary. This position will work directly with the Leasing Specialist/Leasing Manager, EMFs Site Development Department and Accounting Department to perform his/her job functions related to Lease Administration.

Qualification/Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in lease administration, law, or similar / relevant experience.
• Lease experience within the broadcasting or wireless industries greatly preferred.
• Experience reviewing commercial lease agreements/contracts
• Knowledge and understanding of FCC Broadcast rules and regulations
• Proven ability to plan, organize, and administrate projects
• Proven ability to deal with multiple, simultaneous problems in a systematic, logical manner
• Familiarity with engineering and legal (contractual) terminology Strong organizational and administrative skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop sincere business/ministry relationships; strong negotiation skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently; establishing and meeting performance/ministry goals

Leasing Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Leasing Specialist will assist in the overall responsibility for EMFs Lease Administration. This includes: procurement and negotiation of new leases, renewals and terminations, and daily utilization of lease database. This position will work directly with EMFs Site Development Department in coordinating new station construction and modifications to existing stations and translators. The Lease Specialist also oversees assigned lease projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in broadcast or wireless industry lease acquisition, administration, compliance, negotiation, contracts.
• Site development and/or knowledge of wireless and/or broadcast towers/antenna/technology preferred.
• Experience reviewing lease agreements/contracts
• Project management experience; proven ability to plan, organize, lead and direct projects
• Proven ability to deal with multiple, simultaneous problems in a systematic, logical manner
• Familiarity with legal (contractual) and engineering terminology Strong organizational and administrative skills

Media Producer

Position Summary :

The Media Producer assists the Creative Services department by writing copy and creating audio and video production. Conceptualize, write and produce professional quality multi-media content. Complete daily copywriting, audio production and video work, including, but not limited to conceptualizing, voicing and assembling of audio & video pieces. Work closely with internal and external clients incorporating feedback and copy points to create audio/video that effectively communicates and connects to the target audiences of EMF Broadcasting and its affiliates. Complete video production projects. Work with the team and management to ensure that spots move effectively through the production work flow. Other tasks as assigned.

Qualification/Experience Requirements :

• Minimum of 5+ years broadcasting or comparable professional experience doing copywriting and full cycle audio & video production.
• Demonstrated understanding of and proficiency using Pro Tools, Final Cut, Adobe After Effects, Filemaker, Scott Studios, and other software programs is required.
• Demonstrated ability to create and produce multi-media content (audio and video content).
• Local and/or national voice work is required (radio or television).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team or independently (depending on project needs), ability to communicate in a professional & Christ-like matter with internal & external clients, management and team members.
• Demonstrated flexibility and ability to keep pace in an ever changing environment.
• Excellent problem solver. Solution oriented, can do, positive attitude, and the willingness to take on the responsibility of being a team leader.
