Honoring Martin Luther King, Jr.

Today, we honor the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr and his legacy. We shared a couple of our favorite statements from him on the show today:

"I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear."

and

"We must develop and maintain the capacity to forgive. He who is devoid of the power to forgive is devoid of the power to love. THERE IS SOME GOOD IN THE WORST OF US AND SOME EVIL IN THE BEST OF US. When we discover this, we are less prone to hate our enemies."

May we learn these lessons well.

Heard on air

If your kids are begging for a puppy, don't expect Facebook to help you out! "Two Girls and a Puppy" shows us the power of social media! The girls were told that they could get a puppy if their Facebook post got 1 million "likes." I'm sure Dad thought he was in the clear! What happened? It only took 7 hours to reach their goal! Way to go, Girls!

Got an old painting hanging around the house? It could be worth a fortune!

Tired of being set up on "blind dates by family members and friends?" There's an app for that!

If you're a fan of grilled cheese sandwiches but want a bit of variety, we've got some help for you.

Are only children doomed to be selfish? Some people are saying so.

Two girls know the Golden Rule and have seen it demonstrated recently by the return of their lost homemade rule book.
