Duct Tape Creativity!

The most interesting thing that I used duct tape for, was when I wrapped a tare off calender "365 ways to use duct tape" with duct tape. Long story short...the pastor that married my brother and his wife used the fact that duct tape can be used for many things except for fixing a marrage.

I used duck tape to make a parking lot for little cars

My dad fixed the back of his car with duct tape after he got rearended.The whole trunk is taped shut and the tape is also used to keep his break light in place (which is a red hot tub lens)he likes to keep it practical

Late at night, driving in unfamiliar area, my car quit and coasted to a stop. I could start it and coast to a stop. Trying to find a service station open, an intoxicated man riding a bike came up beside me. I couldn't speed away so I rolled down my window and asked if he wanted to pick me up or did he want to help me. He said he could help. Thanking God I popped the hood, saw the fastener on the rod that holds the gas pedal had cracked. I asked if he had any duct tape. He said his headlight was ductaped on. He gave it to me, I wound it around the rod where the fastener would go. I gave him a hug, told him I thanked God for him, and drove home. He rode off holding his light.

My daughters, Tyra and Arial, rolled used duct tape into balls to pitch at the walls in my bedroom to pratice pitching for softball.

When I was in high school a group of guys wrapped a roll of toliet paper with duct tape. They went to a local park and put a trash can on both ends of a field. They called it "Zamboni ball". The rules were, well basically the one rule was there were no rules. The goal was to get the duct tape covered TP "ball" into the other teams can.

I've used duct tape to get rid of warts!  

I am a youth pastor and duct tape is my best friend when it comes to games.  One of the most popular games we play is toilet paper dodge ball, to make these dodge balls you take two strips of duct tape and wrap them around the roll of toilet paper so that the two strips make a cross.  Very easy to do, as well as very cheap.

We duct taped our principal to the wall as a fundraiser for a.family that had lost their house to a fire.

I use Duct Tape to make Purses and Wallets

I'm a broke collgeg student so when the bottom of my backpack started to be trashed, I used duct tape to fix it up. The silver actually goes really well with the pink.

When I was like 9 I was heavily into Star Trek, Aliens, X files, you name it and I was convinced that I could contact aliens if I had a satalite dish.  I couldn't get a hold of one to try so I built one out of Straws, Tim Foil, and duct tape! LOL I took it to the edge of the yard and plugged it into my musical keyboard and proceeded to play the tune that the aliens communited with in Close Encounters of the 3rd kind! I waited 20 minutes and sadly the aliens never came.

Yes that is a true story and my brother and sister will not let me live it down.

I used duct tape to make wallets. It is kind of tricky but they make great gifts for my guy friends because they look "tough" and are really cheap.

At camp the girls and the guys always raid each other and last year after my cabin had raided the boys we overheard their plan to come steal back "bob" our mascot plasctic parrot so we were prepared. Later that night, around 2 o'clock in the morning, we heard a few guys coming so we ambushed them. we managed to duct tape all the raiders to the trees in pink and purple duct tape just to humiliate them. we also put makeup and did theie hair! later when their councellors came to get them we made a bargain to get their guys back to make us pie and had to take us to the dance. It was fun then at the end of camp we made them a card out of duct tape so they would always remember us!

I have made flip flops and purses out of duct tape. It is great fun but they are not super durable.

In my advanced math class we have a serious talking problem. We talk all the time and Mr. Teske has to give us extra math problems so we threaten each other with duct tape. I have acually made a fake toy "lucy" dagger(I love narnia) from duct tape and toilet paper rolls.

I used duck tape as a kid to hold my shoes together until my Mom could afford to buy new ones.  Raising my own 3 sons in FFA and Four H we had to duck tqape their boots sometimes until the fair, when we would buy new ones to show.  Working construction, for 27 years, i oftem used duck tape to hold my steal toe boots together, becaause they were alread broke in and i did NOT want a new pair.  Today I don't wear shoes very often but I own about 50 pair.  and No duck tape on any of them.  LOL

I'd have to say the most interesting way I or my spouse have used duct tape was as a lint remover for dark clothes or furniture.  

A couple of years ago, when my daughter, Erin,  was 9, the only thing she asked for, for Christmas, was colored duct tape.  She received 6 rolls of various colors of duct tape.  She is very creative with it.  She has made gifts for her family such as containers with lids and pencil holders.  She loves to make costumes for her stuffed animals.  She even made a bathtub for them, complete with blue duct tape water and a duct tape ducky.  Erin will probably be one to make her prom dress out of duct tape.  I can't wait to see what design she will come up with!

Me and my friends were messing arround at lunch and i had a random idea. I was going to make a sword out of duct tape. i got home got my homework done, then got started. i used paper as an outline and wraped the tape over it. i also used skewers for stability. my friends saw it and geeked out.

My 5 year old has warts on the bottom of her feet and her doctor told me to put duct tape on them (however, it apparently olny works if there is not a callous around the wart).  So, today we went to the store and she picked out pink duct tape to put on her warts.  I was just driving home with my 3 year old and he heard you talking about duct tape and very excitedly from his car seat says, "Mom! Their talking about 'duck' tape.  Bethany has 'duck' on her feet!"  I just had to laugh

i dont know if this would be creativity, but  we were living in a trailor park at the time an my husbend was on his way home that day, an he wanted to back up into the sidewalk, an they had a tree in the yard, he accidently ran into the tree an knocked the top part of, an wondering what the managemnet would do so he decided to duck tape the tree back together thinking it would stay. notttttttt!

I used to make fun of my husband for carrying duct tape in an old Honda Accord that had over 200,000 miles on it UNTIL...the radiator hose cracked as we were getting off the interstate.  He wrapped it with duct tape put some premixed antifreeze in and off we went.  Not a boy scout, but should have been. He's always prepared

Get rid of warts by covering them with duct tape for three days.

Back in 1983 I duct taped my PeeChee's in my freshman year of high school... they lasted all the way through college... And college was a 10 year journey for me... In fact, I still have one of those folders today...  Have a blessed evening..!!  Mark...

-just a little poem I wrote to express my appreciation for this handy little tool. I always cary a role in my purse with me

at my church camp every summer the girls prank the guys and vice versa. last year after raiding the 8th grade guys my girls cabin overheard their plan to steal back "bob" our mascot plastic parrot. We got prepared. as we heard the first guys of the cabin coming (around 2 o'clock in the morning) we got our pink and purple duct tape and ambushed them as they came close. Long story short we ended up tapeing the guys one by one to the trees outside with embarrasing girly duct tape. the councellors finnally came and we duct taped them to the outside of the directors cabin with a note thanking them for the gift of the duct tape. at the end of camp we gave them a duct tape card so they would NEVER forget us!!! ;)

Duct tape is my hobby i use it for everything possible... i cover all my school books with it because it works so well.. i think the coolest thing i've ever done with duct tape is my bible... i bought a little pocket bible to keep it my purse i duct taped it and it keeps it all together its amazing!!!

Just today at my drum line rehearsal, my hand was bleeding and we didn't have any band-aids so we duct tape and paper towels to make a make-shift bandage

So I finds some nice razor blades for  50%off but turns out the handle I have at home isn't a match. What could I do? I duct taped that bad boy on there! Worked just fine

I wasnt the one to use the duct tape but my next door nieghbors did something i would never suggest to anyone they had a partial flat tire and where we lived at the time was in really country area and they duct taped their tire to get home they loved their duct tape the son made a wallet out of it when  hole appeared they duct taped it they just loved duct tape

My sons and I one yr for fathers day made an awesome wallet, with a hidden compartment for money, a regular compartment for money, slots for cr cards, and a spot for the dr liscence with a clear window to view it. That was pretty cool, just wish I could remember how to make that one

We had a really accident prone horse one time and we finally got tired of vet bills on her, so the last time she ran full bore into a brick wall and laid the skin of her face over, my dad grabbed a maxipad and , you got it, duct taped it to her head.  And it healed up better than any of the other areas the vets had previously stitched up.

A girl i know had a hole in her pants. instead of patching them she completely covered her jean shorts in colorful duct tape. it finally matches her duct tape pen, duct tape lunch bag, and her duct tape backpack.

when i was littler we had a fun day at church so we played games and one of them was that they had duct taped us to the wall and who ever fell first was the loser and i was one out of the two they picked but i won it was a blast !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When my wife, Kristi, was going through Chemo for breast cancer she started losing her hair. We decided to buzz cut it to avoid having hair all over the house. The stubble felt like needles sticking into her scalp when she wore her wig or sleep cap. We used duct tape for a "Redneck Waxing" on her head. It got most of the stubble and allowed her to comfortably cover her bald head.  

i first used duct tape to repair a pair of torn flip flops. then, i began experimenting with the rest of the roll. after a helpful suggestion from a friend, i attempted to make a rose. my roommate bought the duct tape rose for his girlfriend. that's where it all began... i sold duct tape roses, boxes, and anything the "client" could imagine (like a bee or a purse). this certainly helped me earn some extra spending money throughout my freshman year of college.

When my wife, Kristi, was going through chemo for breast cancer, her hair began to fall out.  We decided to give her a buzz cut to prevent hair from falling all over the house.  The stubble felt like needles when she wore her wig or sleep cap.  We gave her a "Redneck Waxing" with duct tape to remove the stubble.  She could then comfortably cover her bald head.

My ten year old daughter Katie had a stuffed animal yellow duck and that somehow got a hole in his fur near his heart.   Her younger brother Dave found the duck and realized that he had a hole.   He found some silver duct tape and used it to make a coat of armour or little outfit for the duck covering his the hole near his heart.   He then found a red sharpie and colored a red heart right over his breast plate.   He also made a duct tape hat for the little yellow ducks head.   When Katie and I first saw this our hearts melted completely.   I could only think about what a compassionate heart my six year old son has and how he wanted to show this little duck some love and protect his little heart.   What a heart my son has.   This reminds me of the verse from Matthew 5:8-"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God."   God is amazing how he can use a child's  pure heart to help us see him more clearly in so many ways. God's love is so amazing!  

My foot dr had me use duct tape to get rid of a wart on the bottom of my foot.  Supposedly the duct tape keeps air from getting there and kills the wart

My husband Sheldon and I have used duct tape to fix trim inside of our car, Antenna's on 2-way radio's, I have used it on shoes that I did yard work in, also used it on a screen door fixing the screen that the cats had torn, fixed a cracked window in the house, fixed ripped books and may more things.

I used duct tape instead of ribbon to decorate a gift. The bow was a little challenging, but it turned out quite nice!!

My brother thought it would be funny to duct tape up a wallet. It actually looked kind of good but when you get duct tape wet it starts to peel so all of his money fell out!! It was hilarious.

My son Shane when he was 15 lost his wallet and within a few days he had fabricated a new wallet out of duct tape. It was beautiful and looked like grey leather. Minimal wrinkles and a bi fold at that.

I have made a duct tape wallet that i carried around for three years duct tape bookmarks and duct tape cell phone holders but the most creative thing i have used duct tape for is that four times now whenever i get crocks i cover them in duct tape so i can walk through sand and not have to clean off my feet and it works

I was working at Kid's camp one summer and one of the craft leaders, who happened to be male decided that he didn't want to do the crafts that are typically done at camp, so he came up with the idea to make duct tape wallets. Completely made out of duct tape with pockets for your credit cards and money, even the window for your driver's license. It was the best craft with the kids that week. I still have mine 10 years later.

I had a friend who made bookbags and wallets out of duct tape. I also heard and adventures in odeyssey where the young man is staying with his Grandpa for the summer. The young man breaks his arm and his Grandpa makes a cast out of duct tape.

OK so my brother who jsut got married he used to and still makes duck tap roses for his wife. she really likes them becuase they never wilt. we also have used duct tape to make wallets and purses and like a million things! we also make bible cases. they are really cool!

One time I got bright colored duct tape and made flowers and put them in a vase!   Thank you KLOVE for all you do!

I made a skirt, headband with duct tape roses, flipflops, necklace and bracelet for my 6th grade daughter in January.  They had a duct tape/garbage bag day during spirit week.  I wish I could show you the pictures of the kids and of my daughters. Such creativity!

My sons friends brother made a multi-wallet out of duct tape.
