I love the things that come out of kids mouths. I have a four-year old, too, and every morning she wakes up and says, "The sun is shining. It's a beautiful day God made for us!"  That comment is all on her own and has, many times, encouraged MY morning!

I always remind myself every morning (well, A LOT) that God has chosen me to have 2 of HIS boys to raise and that means I need to be the best mom in the world!

During a tough time as a parent, a friend taught me to greet the Lord each day stating aloud that He is my Prince of Peace!  He really is and stating this aloud helped me to stay focused on Him and not the problems.

I didnt find the lil girl prideful or vain! All I heard was positive self talk. In a world with so much negetivity and self degredation, I say HOORA!! build yourself up and put on the full armour of god!!!

Love this video, affirmations are so important. I spent years (most) of my life listening to the negative voice in my mind and the negative voices in the world. One day a good friend suggested I do affirmations. She told me to look myself in the mirror and say I love you, God loves  you, you are beautiful, funny  etc.. She even told me to make a list of 3 things I like about myself each day for a week. They could never be the same things. Day one was not so hard but by day 3 I was grasping for things. Since then I have put affirmations into regular practice I am now able to love myself again and more importantly, accept God's love for me. I have also been teaching my children to do affirmations.

Every morning my children and I wake up, we thank God for another day. Then while driving them to school,we sing Give you Glory by Jeremy Camp. They know I expect for them to be on green everyday(best color). So I say green is the color and they say great is the day that the Lord has made before getting out of the car..

First thing in the morning, I would say "Good morning my Lord " . I thank God this morning. I am sitting here looking out from my office window watching God's goodness, the birds flying, the green trees, the sunshine ...the creek that flows like God's love for us.. Im crying because God loves me and my family and I know that there will be challenges for but He will be there to guide us with His loving hands.  I love the quote . "Morning is a God's way of saying " Yesterday's gone lets begin again child. "

Good day to the folks at K-Love.  Permit me brief comments on the 'Jessica' video.  I do admit that it is cute.  However, Christians need to be careful of this type of 'assertiveness' as it can lead to an individual "looking within his/herself" for motivation and conviction to act, as our pop-culture does in fact tell us to do..."look deep within, you'll find the power to act, to overcome"..."you can do it, only believe in yourself". Nonsense! This approach is contrary to the meaning and intent of Philippians 4:13 - I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.  This little girl should be taught to say to God "thank you for my hair, thank you for my room, thank you for my smile, thank you for giving me strength", etc.

Lynda is amazing how somebody can turn an innocent child's affirmations into something bad.  What could possibly be wrong with a little girl saying I like my mom, I like my hair, I like my room?  People like you are the reason people like me do not participate in organized religion.  Silently Screaming Inside!

Wouldn't  that be great if everyone were inspired simply by standing in front of a mirror and listing all the things they were greatful for. I recall a video game that had the character stand in front of a mirror to boost the "self esteem bar" in order to continue playing. Simple things a game recognizes to maintain life, we play the game and choose to ignore the message.

Every morning my sweetheart gets up for work and wakes me up with a hug and a kiss. He tells me he loves me and so the first thing I say is "I love you too. Have a great day!" It us a blessing to have a Christian man as my life partner. I am truly blessed.

That has to be one of the funniest and cutest videos I have ever seen.  She just seemed all charged up after that pep talk with herself; she marched out of that bathroom with confidence that her day was going to be fabulous.

That reminds me of that verse in Phil. 4:13 which says, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

Each morning I put on the armor of God and I say Good Morning God, God Morning Satan...Lets fight!
Each day is a battle against the evils of this world, but life is always good because I have Jesus and the armor of God as my protector.

I have a ring with a butterfly on it and when I put it on each morning it is my reminder that I am a new creation in Christ, that old self is dead. This is a new begining. I can spread my wings and fly. But when I rest I rest under my Father's wings.

My mom has been in Heaven for 9 years now. But every morning she would start her day with this Prayer:

Please Dear God just for today make my mind sharper than my tongue.

I myself start every day THanking God for a new day to Praise Him for my Blessings.

That little girl is just about the cutest thing I've ever seen!!
I start my day out with a little prayer thanking God for the good night's rest and the wake up call in the morning.  Then I ask him to guide me through my day so that His will is done in my life.

My daughter is 4 years old and when she started pre-school this year, the teacher taught the kids a poem that they memorized and said everyday. The first time she came home saying it, I cried because I knew that she was speaking something over herself and didn't even realize how it would affect her. This is what she learned:

"I am somebody. I am capable and loveable. I am teachable, therefore I can learn. I respect myself and others. I use my time well because it is too valuable. I am too precious and bright. I am somebody."

I always sing "Rise and shine and give God the glory, glory"  when waking up my kid sister.  It helps both of us start the day off in a good mood (even though I am not a morning person).

I am a newlywed and with a new husband, I now have two beautiful children. I wake up every morning and thank God for my husband and new family and for my wonderful job! - Before that I thanked God for never giving up on me to Get Saved (I got saved at 16, now i'm 30) and for what He has for my future!

I get up everyday at 0430 to go to work (Army) and the last several days it's been pretty tough to do. However, this morning I got up and was going to post something negative on my facebook status and the Lord reminded me that I'm blessed to have a job and a well-paying one at that. So instead I posted "Another day, another dollar. Blessed be the name of the Lord." I think this is going to be what I tell myself from now on.

Because we were military and moved around a lot when my daughter was growing up she unfortunately was the target of bullying.  I had a poster on her mirrored closet door that read "You are a beautiful blessed child of God and what people say doesn't matter!"  She has grown up into a wonderful young women of God who is very confident!

I was listening to Klove on my way to work this Am and heard about the little girl in front of the mirror so as soon as I arrived I logged on.  She inspired me with her joy.  I have to agree with Lynda.  Di, you have to lighten up!!  Please let the light and joy of the Lord in so you can experience what Jessica emits so innocently.

that video was really great.. and much needed. 12 pm hasn't hit and i am having trouble not being negative. nut i am not giving up. even thoough my job is so hard not to be grouchy...LOL i know it can be done.. so funny my pastor preached in the book of James Sunday about not grumbling and now KLove does a challange, i am going to do it no matter how much i the song says GET  BACK UP AGAIN... AMEN

Hi Everyone,
I just love this radio station and I live all the way in Hawaii and I love hearing different stories from people so far away.  God is so good!  I am so blessed by the Lord through this radio station and I have encourage others to listen too.  I direct them to this website, because this is where I found new hope.  I was praying for a Godly christian radio station and I found K-Love, God directed me here and I have never been more encouraged in my life!
Thank you so much.  
Every morning when I awake, before I even set foot on my floor I say Lord, there is absolutely nothing I can do today without You.  I need you to go befor me today and lead my way and help me get through all the things that come against me.  Thank you Lord - Then I get out of bed and immediately go to my radio, turn on KLOVE and start getting ready.  It is so wonderful to get ready to Godly music and the presence of the Lord just filling my home.  Being a mom of a teenager is hard, but with the Lord and KLove, I will make it through these rough times.  Thank you

you spoke about something your pastor said, if you are helping someone in a crisis and the letters were Humility, E for ?? and R for ??.  can you help me out again, I meant to write them down but I was driving and as soon as I got to a place to write it down, I forgot what the letters!!  I LOVE YOUR SHOW!!

Love the energy!!And she is adorable! Lord, help me to be this motivated in the morning!! Smile I think having a positive attitude and outlook is imperative to not only starting the day but maintaining it. God wants us to be joyful and rejoice always. I do understand what Di is saying also though. While it is innocent and precious as a child to declare things like "I can do anything better than anyone", it's important that these things are put into a Christlike perspective early and an understanding that He really deserves His credit and glory for the great things that He has done for us and His awesome blessings. This would not only allow for a healthy dependence on Christ as our strength as adults, but also clear up any confusion that one may have about self-sufficiency. I love KLOVE...YOU GUYS ARE TRULY A BLESSING!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR DILIGENCE FOR CHRIST AND THE UPBULDING OF HIS GLORIOUS KINGDOM! Smile

Wow! I thought this was a forum where persons had the freedom to express perspectives. Didn't realise I couldn't go "against the grain here!" Ouch Lynda! "People like me?"  Wow, don't you think that's a bit heavy? That sounds like generalisation to me...quite improper, especially when you don't have a clue who you're addressing.

My dears, I've had enough in my life of pursuing things because they sound or feel good.  I'm learning to measure everything by the Word of God.  If it doesn't have biblical precedence and approval, then it's no good, no matter how cute, how innocent, how well meaning.

Betty, on your point about Jessica's innocence, please be reminded that we all have sinned and come short of God's glory (Rom 3:23) and that there's no one who seeks God (Ps 53:2-3) of their own volition or tends naturally to glorify God.  As innocent as Jessica sounds here, if she's not corrected and directed to God (Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us - Eph 3:20), what then would prevent her from going through life, "searching within her [corruptible - Rom 1:23] self" for wisdom, strength, motivation?

One more thing Lynda, your relationship with God CANNOT be dependent on the habits, views, decisions, comments or personality of others. When you stand before God to give account of your life, it won't matter in the least bit that you were offended by someone who said or did something that you didn't like. I do hope that you are pursuing a close relationship with Almighty God, living a life of total obedience to Him (though His Word).
