    Associate News Producer - Weekend

    We currently have a weekend opening for an Associate News Producer.  If you have prior broadcast news experience, including news writing & delivery, audio production, and social media skills, this might be the position for you!   An mp3 newscast sample is required. This is an on-site position based in Rocklin, CA.

    Here's what we are looking for.....

    • Demonstrated ability to creatively edit and produce public affairs programming and news segments
    • Strong computer skills; and with desktop audio editors including ProTools, Sound Forge and/or Adobe Audition 
    • Previous radio (or TV) news on-air experience
    • Network quality sound.
    • This is a part-time, on-site position. Sacramento-area residents will be given first consideration
    • College courses in Journalism, Broadcasting, Mass Communications preferred but not essential.  Will accept equivalent work experience.

    Hours Of Work: This is a Part-Time, weekend position that includes, one 6-8 hour shift on Saturday, and one 6-8 hour shift on Sunday. Available shifts are Evenings, Overnight or Early morning shifts.

    Development & Applications Support Manager

    The Development & Applications Support Manager is responsible leading Software Development and Release Management. This position is responsible for planning, developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure systems support for EMF's business needs.

    As Development & Application Support Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead a top notch team of Software Developers (web & backend), Business Systems Analysts, QA Professionals, a Release Manager & Software Support Engineers. The EMF leadership team, leads by example in demonstrating a positive, energetic influence throughout the ministry. You will be expected to do that for the Development & Applications Support team, providing strategic and day-to-day management for this team.

    Here's what we’re looking for...

    • Minimum of 3+ years of experience managing a development team, with prior experience as a software developer.
    • Excellent leadership skills with experience in performance management & team building.
    • Experience using various SDLCs and knowing which to use based on the type of project (i.e. web redesign versus back-end custom development effort, etc.).
    • Experience with software architecture models such as Service Oriented Architecture (SOA); web services, application frameworks; object oriented programming; web development model; windows development model; and business object modeling.
    • Experience implementing mission critical internet/web based application systems using best practices for software code development, re-use, and componentization.
    • Experience working with Microsoft development technologies, including SQL Server 2008+, TFS and Microsoft Visual Studio .NET. Familiarity with cloud based technologies such as Azure & AWS a plus.
    • Experience with Mobile application development and publishing.
    • Experience with configuration management software-based tools.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills from the staff to the executive level.

    Engineering Administrative Supervisor

    The Engineering Administrative Supervisor is responsible for supervising and managing the work and performance of the Engineering Administrative Support team. The Engineering Administrative Supervisor also closely partners with the Vice President of Engineering to ensure the coverage and performance of his administrative work. This includes, but is not limited to regularly exercising discretion and independent judgment, performance and/or oversight of establishing administrative procedures and standards, maintaining office organization, scheduling of travel, meetings and calendar management; completion of expense reports, creating presentations, initiating and managing supply orders, incorporation of new signals into administrative functions, documentation, event planning and special projects as needed. 

    This is an onsite position at our headquarters in Rocklin, CA.

    Here's what we're looking for....

    • 4+ years of experience supporting a department or senior manager from an / project support capacity.
    • Prior supervisory experience required.
    • Prior experience preparing budgets, reports, presentations, coordinating team training/events/meetings, managing calendars, coordinating travel and fulfilling other executive level administrative tasks.
    • Experience working in a technical and/or engineering environment highly desired. With an understanding of the technical mind, ability to understand technical language, reports, and correspondences.
    • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Visio. Ability to create graphs; charting; complex analysis within multiple systems; data parsing; and presentations.

    Engineering Applications Programmer II

    Have you ever thought that it be cool to work with satellite technology? Well there is a group of folks on our engineering team that are breaking new ground in radio-industry software. This team designs & creates interfaces that allow us to access and control satellite system functions. Pretty cool huh?

    They are currently looking for an Engineering Applications Programmer II to join their team. This involves designing, developing, testing, implementing, and monitoring software interfaces between satellite equipment and our internal systems.   This is a full time, on-site position, based out of our headquarters in Rocklin, CA.

    Here's what we are looking for...

    • Software programming experience in fast-based, results-oriented environment required
    • 2+ years of Linux command-line experience required.
    • 5+ years of experience developing software and user interfaces
    • Programming experience with Ruby or Rails required
    • Programming experience with web technologies (e.g. HTML, SQL, JavaScript) preferred

    Field Engineer I - Chicago, IL

    Our Field Engineers are the first line of defense when maintaining our radio networks.  They make sure that we are on-air and transmitting at the best possible quality.  We have a huge responsibility to our listeners, broadcasting 24/7, 365 days/year, and our Field Engineers do not take this responsibility lightly. In addition to maintaining our existing signals, they are also involved with some pretty cool signal expansion projects!

    This position is a part of a national engineering team that has been blessed with technical resources unequal to many broadcasting companies in our country!

    This position is responsible for the greater Chicagoland area.

    Qualification/Experience Requirements:

    • Minimum of 2+ years experience troubleshooting and repairing failures in broadcast electronic equipment – trouble shooting audio & RF issues in a radio transmission system.
    • Thorough understanding of the components necessary in a broadcast air-chain
    • Ability to carry out calculations in common broadcast-related formula such as transmitter efficiency, transmitter power output, wavelengths, and antenna system gain
    • Ability to solder and desolder electronic components without causing damage to the components or PC board .
    • Knowledge of applicable, broadcast-related FCC rules and regulations.
    • Proficiency with standard broadcast test equipment, such as VOMs, oscilloscopes, and RF spectrum analyzers.
    • Ability to work independently with a high level of integrity.
    • Strong computer skills with to include MS Office products and other common software (Internet browsers, etc.)

    Lead Promotions Manager - Northern California

    While our DJs may be the voice of the ministry, our Promotions Managers are the face of the ministry. THEY are the people that you see at the K-LOVE & Air1 booth when you go large community events, concerts or festivals.

    First and foremost we are looking for someone who has the Passion for our mission "Create compelling media that inspires and encourages our listeners to have a meaningful relationship with Christ" in other words, it's not about us, it's all about our listeners and Him. Our culture is extremely unique, we are not like any other radio station you have ever listened to or worked for. Beyond that here are a few things you will be doing:

    Our Lead Promotions Managers (LPMs) are the senior/lead members of a Promotions team.  They serve as a coach & mentor to Promotions Managers in the area of promotional strategies, planning, techniques and best practices.   The LPM will lead the team to create awareness of the ministry within their community; expose the radio station to people who have never heard K-LOVE and Air1; and deepen listener’s experience through service opportunities, ministry outreach, events and concerts within 3 hours of the local office.  Success will be measured by increased cume, web visits, donations, social media participation, listener attendance at events and involvement in ministry outreach.  This position is based out of our headquarters in Rocklin, CA.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Manager of Philanthropy: Eastern Territories

    Position Summary

    The Western or Eastern National Manager of Regional Representatives reports to the Vice President of Philanthropy. The Manager is responsible for the day to day coaching of the Regional Representative team within the K-LOVE and Air1 Foundation.  This position also maintains an active portfolio of 25-40 major donors, ministering to the needs of the donors and identifies, qualifies, cultivates, solicits and stewards these very important ministry partners for EMF Broadcasting.

    Focus and Scope of Position


    • Lead by example in demonstrating a positive, energetic influence throughout the ministry. Consistently represent the ministry with integrity through actions, words and behaviors that support and align with our statement of Faith, Mission and Vision.
    • Coach and support designated team members to meet and exceed performance objectives and goals as determined and outlined in the annual goal setting and evaluation.
    • Assist team and personally share the EMF Broadcasting vision and mission with listeners, their friends/associates, and high capacity philanthropic individuals, through one-on-one and group settings. 
    • Work with VP of Philanthropy to develop and execute planned communications to inspire, bless and educate portfolio partners to renew and grow giving.
    • Monitor and manage each team member’s portfolio engagement activities and the subsequent input recorded in CRM.
    • Work collaboratively with Regional Representatives in: identifying, cultivating, and ministering to existing and discovered relationships.  Actions include: regular conversations and visits with the reps, participation in area events and promotions, and other activities as necessary to minister to the donors’ needs and maximize giving.
    • Help recruit and develop Regional Representatives by evaluating performance, providing coaching, training and mentoring opportunities in order to maximize staff performance and professional growth.
    • Maintain appropriate working relationships with all department heads and staff members to enhance interdepartmental communications and synergy.
    • Manage a portfolio of about 25-40 major donor partners to grow relationships and their giving.
    • Ensure all corporate and team communications with donors reflect professionalism, accuracy, and most importantly a heart for Christ.
    • Monitor expenditures ensuring compliance with policy guidelines and budget constraints, reporting discrepancies immediately.
    • Interface regularly with the Vice President of Philanthropy on team progress and matters of interest, periodically providing a comprehensive report on donor development operations.
    • Frequently travel for donor and team member meetings
    • Maintain confidentiality of planning, donor relationships and information and other financial information regarding EMF and its business
    Qualifications

    • Five years plus of successful experience in major gift fundraising or comparable experience
    • Three years of experience managing, mentoring and motivating a team of professionals (experience managing remote team members a plus!)
    • High energy professional with a track record of building donor relationships and closing gifts
    • Demonstrated ability to understand the needs and interests of major gift donors in order to develop relationships between them and EMF
    • Demonstrated and sincere interest in all aspects of EMF’s ministry and a dedication to promoting the fundraising priorities through developing excellent relationships with others throughout the organization
    • Demonstrated leadership and the ability to successfully manage multifunctional or diverse areas
    • Successful experience in developing in depth cultivation and solicitation strategies
    • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated record of completing assignments.
    • Must be willing to travel an average of 10 days per month
    • Strong commitment to uphold and support EMF’s Mission and Faith statements as well as codes of conduct
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet Navigation, SharePoint a plus)

    Phone Ministry Team Member

    Our Phone Ministry Team Members are responsible for calling our listeners to express our appreciation and thanks for being a part of the ministry family. In addition, they ask for prayer requests. All information is entered into our donor system, so strong computer skills & accurate typing skills are a must!  This is an on-site position, based out of our headquarters in Rocklin, CA.

    Qualification/Experience Requirements:

    • Minimum of 1 year of experience assisting customers over the phone, call center, administrative, or similar experience.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to comfortably communicate with our diverse listener population over the phone, in a friendly and professional manner.
    • Good customer service skills with the ability to multi task and work in a fun yet performance oriented team.
    • Strong attention to detail, with a keen eye for accuracy for day to day activities as well as in an environment that will become very busy during and after Pledge Drive weeks.
    • Strong computer skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel)  Must be comfortable multitasking in a Windows environment and have fast & accurate keyboarding skills.

    Receptionist - (9-06-017)

    We are currently looking for an experienced Receptionist to assist our Rocklin office.  Our Receptionists answer all incoming calls for K-LOVE, Air1 and EMF Broadcasting. Providing excellent customer service, strengthening the relationship between EMF and our listeners. They serve as the first point of contact to the ministry, our Reception team represents the ministry in a positive, encouraging, and professional manner, assisting our listeners over the phone and in person. They also assist other departments with additional special projects and miscellaneous duties as assigned.  This is an on-site position based in our headquarters in Rocklin, CA.

    Here's what we are looking for in a Receptionist...

    • We are looking for an experienced Receptionist with at least 2+ years of experience as a Receptionist in a computer intensive, high call volume environment.
    • Our Receptionists answer calls for K-LOVE, Air1 & EMF Broadcasting and at times the call volume is crazy fast, so we really need someone with solid experience answering a multi-line phone system who can handle the high volume of calls.
    • This is a very computer intensive position, so we need someone who is has super strong computer skills; solid experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and can navigate the internet. Multi-tasking in a Windows environment should be second nature to you.
    • You're spending all your time on the phone, so excellent verbal communication skills are a must. Being able to come across in an articulate, upbeat and professional manner over the phone is crucial. Good writing skills are also necessary.
    • Excellent customer service skills is a must. Strong organizational and administrative along with strong attention to detail are also important.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills. You gotta be a team player.

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university
    • This is a senior level position, so we're looking for a minimum of 5+ years experience in SQL Server database management.
    • Expertise with relational database design, capacity planning, security, and other distributed data issues.
    • Experience administering Microsoft SQL Server 2008 in a Windows Server 2008 clustered environment required. MCDBA preferred. SQL Server 2012 a plus.
    • Microsoft .NET framework knowledge, SSIS, and Reporting Services a plus.
    • Strong troubleshooting and analysis skills and experience.

    Sr. Network Engineer

    • Minimum of 3 years of in-depth Cisco routing and switching experience. (including Nexus, Catalyst, ASA/s, IPSec tunnels, etc.)
    • 5+ years of experience designing, evaluating and recommending network solutions.
    • Knowledge of IP traffic flow, protocol analysis and capturing and monitoring of live traffic streams.
    • Familiarity with mission critical systems, information services, data security and video convergence.
    • Candidates currently in the Rocklin/Sacramento are preferred.

    Station Admin/Manager - KARJ (Kuna, ID)

    The Station Manager will serve as the EMF representative based at KARJ in Kuna, ID. This position is responsible for general office management and ensuring ongoing station compliance through maintaining the FCC public files, responding to FCC inspections and assisting Regional Public Affairs Managers with administrative tasks.  This is a regional position based at our KARJ station in Kuna, Idaho.

    A few responsibilities include...

    • Maintain the facility, ensuring access to the public during business hours and maintain a neat and clean facility that is compliant with a safe and healthy environment
    • Maintenance of FCC public files and filing of new items as received
    • Assist in responding to FCC inspections as required
    • Respond to questions and requests from the public and FCC regarding station and FCC rules and regulations
    • Compile and send Quarterly Issues Reports for Affiliate Stations (non-EMF owned)
    • Provide administrative support as needed to RPAMS (Regional Public Affairs Managers)

    Here's what we're looking for...

    • 2 years of experience providing administrative support. Prior experience maintaining an office (within the broadcast industry a plus!)
    • Excellent organizational skills (oral and written) and the ability to excel at details, multi-tasking
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet Navigation)
    • Proven ability to manage competing priorities successfully
    • Knowledge of broadcast-related FCC rules and regulations a plus
    • Able to work independantly; a motivated, self-starter with high level of integrity
    • Candidates currently living in the Kuna area preferred.
    • Bilingual candidates (Spanish) preferred.
