    Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity Professional

    If you’re a DR/BC professional with about 5 years of experience under your belt, and you’re looking for something more “significant”, here are a few other qualifications that we’re looking for. 

    • Experience developing Disaster Recover plans.

    Events Team Representative - San Antonio, TX

    Our Events Team Representatives (ETR's) are responsible for promoting & positively representing K-LOVE and Air1 within their territory. Our ETR's develop strong relationships & "presence" within their local communities to increase ministry visibility and brand recognition, resulting in increased listeners.

    A day in the life.......

    OK there's not a typical day in the life of an ETR, however it could look something like...wake up and thank God for this day and the opportunities to change lives. You might need a cup of coffee for that, so go ahead, enjoy. Jump in your car and turn on K-LOVE or Air1! Now your ready to hit the ground running. Say "good morning" to your fellow co-workers, head straight to a strategy meeting with your team, then make calls, connect with community and church leaders or event directors to discuss partnerships. You might take a 10 minute break and pray for our listeners who have sent in prayer requests. Take time to coordinate and check details for your next event, write copy, use social media to announce a listener contest. Lunch time already? Go re-fuel, cause your going to need it for your afternoon promotion downtown. Jump in the K-LOVE or Air1 car and meet your volunteers to spread the word and the music. Fast forward a few hours, wow, that was amazing! It's late, you're physically tired, but there's an energy buzzing inside of you from all those incredible listener stories! You know you're making an impact. Today was a blessed day and on your way home you can't wait to do it all over again tomorrow.

    So here's the nuts and bolts of what we are looking for...

    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in promotions, marketing, events, brand management within radio, media or the music industry.
    • Strong knowledge of radio promotional and marketing techniques
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop sincere business/ministry relationships
    • Strong communication and presentation skills. Experience and skill creating a contagious enthusiasm.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a contributing part of a team. Ability to handle a very fast-paced & rigorous work schedule.
    • Solid computer skills - MS Office (Outlook, Word & Excel)
    • And most importantly, you need to have a sincere passion & enthusiasm for the ministry of K-LOVE & Air1 and "get" what we are all about.
    • BS/BA degree in marketing, broadcasting, mass communications, public relations, or equivalent.
    • Candidates living in the San Antonio market preferred.

    Additional info about this position...

    • This is a very physical position. Our ETR's are on their feet all day and regularly lift and transport heavy booths & equipment. Candidates must be able to meet this requirement.
    • This position regularly travels to events within their region and requires a valid drivers license & reliable transportation.
    • Understanding the local market is crucial, so candidates currently residing in the area are greatly preferred.
    • More than 40 hours/week is the norm in promotions. And working evenings, weekends & holidays are a regular occurrence/schedule.
    • On average, 25% travel can be expected.

    Field Engineer II - Central Region

    Our Field Engineers are the first line of defense when maintaining our radio networks.  They make sure that we are on-air and transmitting at the best possible quality.  We have a huge responsibility to our listeners, broadcasting 24/7, 365 days/year, and our Field Engineers do not take this responsibility lightly. In addition to maintaining our existing signals, they are also involved with some pretty cool signal expansion projects!

    This position is a part of a National Engineering Team that has been blessed with technical resources unequal to many broadcasting companies in our country!

    This position is responsible for the Central Region.

    Qualification/Experience Requirements:

    Field Engineer II position is a mid-level broadcast engineering position that provides technical and engineering support to a variety of broadcast facilities in our Central Region, ensuring EMF programming is broadcast successfully and to the highest level of quality. The work performed takes place in a range of locations and work situations.

    Qualification/Experience Requirements:

    • Minimum of 3+ years experience troubleshooting and repairing failures in broadcast electronic equipment – trouble shooting audio & RF issues in a radio transmission system.
    • Thorough understanding of the components necessary in a broadcast air-chain
    • Proven ability to deal with multiple, simultaneous problems in a systematic and logical manner
    • Ability to read and understand basic electronic schematics, electrical drawings, and construction drawings, making appropriate modifications when necessary
    • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to carry out calculations in common broadcast-related formulae such as transmitter efficiency, transmitter power output, wavelengths, and antenna system gain
    • Elementary understanding of satellite technology
    • Basic understanding of radio frequency emissions.
    • Ability to solder and de solder electronic components without causing damage to the components or PC board.
    • Knowledge of applicable, broadcast-related FCC rules and regulations.
    • Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral, written or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situation. Ability to think logically from problem to solution. .
    • Proficiency with standard broadcast test equipment, such as VOMs, oscilloscopes, and RF spectrum analyzers.
    • Ability to work independently with a high level of integrity.
    • Proficiency with MS Office products and other common software (Internet browsers, etc.)
    • Candidates residing within the Central Time Zone preferred.

    Educational Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in electronics; or equivalent work experience in related field
    • FCC General License or Society of Broadcast Engineer (SBE) certification preferred.

    Job Travel Requirements: Up to 75% is expected

    Jr. Database Administrator

    Our IT team is currently looking for a Jr. Database Administrator who wants to learn, improve & grow.  Is that you?

    As a Jr. DBA, you’ll be assisting our Sr. DBA with administering our databases – implementing data models & database designs, doing data access & table maintenance, indexing, performance tuning, etc.  In addition, you’ll gain exposure to different tools & be able to use the latest technologies. What’s cool about our environment is that you won’t be confined to a specific set of technology; you’ll have the ability to continue learning & growing.

    Here’s what we’re looking for…

    • 2+ years of professional experience doing SQL Server database management/administration.
    • Expertise with relational database design, capacity planning, security, and other distributed data issues.
    • Experience administering Microsoft SQL Server in a Windows clustered environment. SQL Server 2012 experience & MCDBA preferred.
    • Exposure/experience to other RDBMS systems desirable.
    • Microsoft .NET framework knowledge, SSIS, and Reporting Services a plus.
    • Demonstrated troubleshooting and analysis skills. Ability to deal with multiple, simultaneous problems.
    • Bachelors Degree

    Market Research Analyst III

    Knowing what our listeners/donors want & need is critical in providing them with better service & product offerings. It also allows us to be better stewards of our donor’s dollars. As the Market Research Analyst, you’ll be responsible for consumer research – finding out what our listeners want and need, analyzing the data, and making recommendations based on findings.

    This is a senior level position, so we’re looking for someone with at least 10 years of market research & analysis experience.

    Here are a few more qualifications that we’re looking for:

    • 10+ years of experience doing market research and analysis.
    • Experience working with research, statistical and survey design software, along with fluency with core MS Office applications are a must. Experience with Tableau, Marketo, Alteryx, SQL, QDA Miner, or Nielsen or equivalent research software is a plus.
    • Experience conducting both qualitative and quantitative research. Qualitative moderating experience preferred.
    • Management of interviewers during in-person intercept studies.
    • Understanding of respondent privacy protocols while conducting research.
    • The ability to discern and analyze the critical elements of large sets of information.

    Programmer II (Engineering Applications) - Indianapolis, IN or Rocklin, CA

    Have you ever thought that it be cool to work with satellite technology? Well there is a group of folks on our engineering team that is breaking new ground in radio-industry software. This team designs & creates interfaces that allow us to access and control satellite system functions.  Pretty cool huh?

    They are currently looking for an Engineering Applications Programmer II to join their team. This involves designing, developing, testing, implementing, and monitoring software interfaces between satellite equipment and our internal systems.   This is a full time, on-site position, that can be based out of either our Indianapolis, IN studios or our Rocklin, CA headquarters.

    Here's what we are looking for...

    • Ruby programming experience required
    • 2+ years of Linux command-line experience required
    • 5+ years of experience developing software and user interfaces
    • Programming experience with web technologies (e.g. HTML, SQL, JavaScript) preferred
    • Experience with NoSQL/Distributed Systems desired
    • Experience troubleshooting and repairing failures in software design or implementation required
    • Experience analyzing technical problems in software systems, understanding software system needs and developing software solutions preferred
    • Experience in networking, server hardware and maintenance desired

    The Vice President of Donor Engagement has strategic oversight and day to day operations responsibility for directing and managing all aspects of fundraising, excluding the execution of on-air donor solicitations and on-air Pledge Drive, to include annual giving, major gifts, deferred gifts, corporate giving, and foundation giving, donor communications, and stewardship to generate charitable gifts that advance the mission of Educational Media Foundation.

    Desired Skills and Experience

    • A minimum of 7 years of donor development and fundraising experience with at least 3 years of proven success in major gift fundraising, and preferred experience in multiple fundraising areas such as annual fund, pledge drive, major gifts, events, and planned gifts.
    •   A minimum of 3 years’ experience building, managing and mentoring a team to achieve specific goals.
    • Experience in donor communications or managing donor communications.
    •   Experience working at an Executive Level of management.
    • Ability to work strategically, set priorities, define goals and outcomes, detail tactics, and achieve results.
    • An individual who is energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive.
    • A team leader that can not only inspire and manage a team but also work effectively with the Executive Committee and with the other departments within EMF.
