    Accounting and Tax Support - Temporary

    This is a temporary position to assist our Finance/Accounting department with property tax preparation.

    Temporary Assignment Dates:  current to May 2015

    Work Hours:   Monday - Friday, Normal business hours.  40 hr/wk, onsite.

    Required Experience:

    • Prior experience preparing property taxes (preferably for multiple states)
    • Experience using tax programs - in-putting of information for general compliance and reporting.
    • Experience researching and reviewing legal documents such as lease contracts & purchase agreements.
    • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
    • Solid experience with Excel & Outlook.

    Business Analyst

    The Business Analyst on our Digital Media Team serves as the Business Analyst for all web, mobile and digital related projects (new development & change requests) that enhance the K-LOVE and Air1 brands. You'll be responsible for gathering and analyzing data, defining business specifications, and analyzing and documenting business processes. While also focusing on providing support and training to various ministry users and serving as the primary liaison to these users.

     

    Here's what we're looking for...

    • Bachelors Degree in IT, MIS or Business
    • 3+ Years of experience in a cross-functional Business Analysis role - interpreting business needs and translating them into application and operational requirements.
    • Experience collecting, analyzing and presenting data.
    • Experience conducting business studies and recommend solutions.
    • Experience creating common diagrams (DFD, ERD, Functional Decomp, etc.)
    • Experience creating and maintaining web taxonomy, wireframes, information architecture, and content maps
    • Strong understanding of SDLC and/or agile development
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Excellent writing skills with prior experience preparing reports & presentations.

    Director of Philanthropy

      The Director of Philanthropy is a unique position. It’s responsible for the continued growth of our relationships with donors and achievement of financial goals that fund key ministry initiatives. This role is responsible for donor development and relationship building including: developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy, creating and achieving annual plans and objectives, cultivating relationships and generating funds/gifts/donations for initiatives like signal expansion, pastoral services or challenge gifts during pledge drives. This position leads and inspires a national team in the representation of the ministry, relationship building and achievement of goals and plans. It reports to the CEO and President.
    Leadership

    Support and create enthusiasm for the mission of K-LOVE/Air1 which is to create compelling media that inspires and encourages our listeners to have a meaningful relationship with Christ.
    Demonstrate EMF’s values, on and off the job, and ensure Philanthropy Team Members reflect the ministry’s culture and values.
    Provide a collaborative and flexible leadership style where teamwork and service is highly valued.
    Encourage a results oriented culture - establish department, team and individual goals where performance is measured against goals; provide regular feedback to team members and formal feedback on a semi-annual basis via the Performance Conversations tool.
    Foster a culture of continual learning and improvement for Philanthropy Team Members.

    Strategic Planning

    Lead the strategic planning and budgeting efforts for Philanthropy and ensure Philanthropy initiatives are aligned with ministry objectives 2 to 3 years out. Identify and develop new, unique, and impactful opportunities to grow the Foundation.
    Establish, enhance and administer Foundation initiatives to achieve both short and long range fundraising goals.
    Regularly assess performance against goals and adjust plans based on actual performance and changes in ministry initiatives.

    Department Oversight

    To accomplish objectives, this position will devote time between two primary areas of responsibility:
    Roughly 50% of the time is dedicated to face-to-face interaction and visits with national portfolio and select principal gift-level donors with a focus on obtaining gifts for EMF priorities.
    Roughly 50% of the time is dedicated to leading day-to-day operational responsibilities of Philanthropy Team, and advancing the Foundation’s major fundraising strategic plan.
    Lead and develop a National team including the Manager of Regional Representatives, Regional Representatives and Operational staff by evaluating performance, providing coaching, training and mentoring opportunities in order to maximize staff performance and professional growth.  
    Partner with other functional areas and departments such as Programming, Events, Data Science & Insights, and Business Partners.  
    Partner with Programming & Events when and if applicable to tie on-air and local/national activities with donors and possible partners
    Partner with Data Science & Insights, providing input into analytics/reports, reviewing outcomes and evaluating lessons learned
    Oversee design and production of development and correspondence materials to include print and media.

    Experience and Expertise

    Minimum of 10 years of management experience in donor development.
    Successful experience establishing and achieving/exceeding fundraising goals and frameworks for self and a team.
    Management of a national or remote team of at least 4 direct reports and/or staff of 10+ total. Management to include hiring, performance management, and celebration.
    Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop sincere business/ministry relationships. Experience and skill in creating a contagious and sustained enthusiasm in others.
    Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
    Demonstrated commitment to the social sector with a passion for our mission and values
    Working knowledge or background in media, entertainment, and/or broadcasting a plus

    Education
    BS/ BA Degree, or equivalent experience

    HR Communications Professional

    A blend of MarCom & HR, as our HR Communications Professional, you will be responsible for maximizing the results while portraying K-LOVE & Air1’s amazing culture on all of the HR communication pieces that go out; creating them so that they’re uniquely “us”! This includes creating print, multi-media, social media & video communication pieces that support HR & ministry-wide initiatives. In addition, it also involves working with the rest of the HR team to design & lead training, internal staff events, meetings & other interesting team member experiences. With every communication piece & training you develop, every event & team meeting that you produce, the goal is to get our team members feeling more engaged, informed & connected.

    Lead Promotions Manager - Charlotte, NC

    While our DJs may be the voice of the ministry, our Promotions Managers are the face of the ministry. THEY are the people that you see at the K-LOVE & Air1 booth when you go large community events, concerts or festivals.

    First and foremost we are looking for someone who has the Passion for our mission "Create compelling media that inspires and encourages our listeners to have a meaningful relationship with Christ" in other words, it's not about us, it's all about our listeners and Him. Our culture is extremely unique, we are not like any other radio station you have ever listened to or worked for. Beyond that here are a few things you will be doing:

    Our Lead Promotions Managers (LPMs) are the senior/lead members of a Promotions team.  They serve as a coach & mentor to Promotions Managers in the area of promotional strategies, planning, techniques and best practices.   The LPM will lead the team to create awareness of the ministry within their community; you get to build relationships with community leaders, engage our listeners, create social media campaigns, expose the radio station to people who have never heard K-LOVE and Air1. You will collaborate with our creative department, philanthropy, business services and underwriters; AND deepen listener’s experience through service opportunities, ministry outreach, events and concerts within 3 hours of the local office.  Success will be measured by increased cume, web visits, donations, social media participation, listener attendance at events and involvement in ministry outreach.  We have a well established market and it is time to go BIG. Larger events, more events, partner with other larger organizations such as sports team to spread the word. This position is based out of our Charlotte, North Carolina office.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience planning, coordinating & executing promotional events within the radio, media or music industry.
    • Prior experience working in a supervisory role/coaching/leading.
    • Strong knowledge of radio promotional and marketing techniques.
    • Strong understanding of how to utilize social media in a promotional capacity.
    • Good understanding of the local market & how to best approach promotions within this market.

    Their goal is to enhance the listener experience by offering accurate and timely responses. They strive to deliver one-touch service and by responding, solving and assisting listeners without having to re-direct them. Our Listener Services Team (LSR) provides support 24/7, 365 days a year. We have 35+ employees dedicated & passionate about our mission; to create compelling media that inspires and encourages our listeners to have a meaningful relationship with Christ. We need someone who will serve as the “glue” and “support system” for our LSR team.  And believe me, this is no small task!  It’s always crazy busy. Change is a constant in this industry.  That’s just the nature of the biz, so you really have to be cool with that.

     

    The Listener Services Supervisor, reports to the Sr. Manager of Service Experience, and leads the day shift team of Listener Services Representatives in a way that exemplifies the mission and values of K-LOVE and Air1 and creates extraordinary moments one listener at a time. This is a working supervisor who leads their team of LSR’s on a specified shift and serves as a backup for other shifts.

    Work hours for this position are 5am - 1:30pm. Requires 4 weekend days per month.

    Some of the daily responsibilities include...

    • Contribute to long term planning and vision implementation.
    • Communicate with assigned team and leadership.
    • Engage management on Listener Services issues, trends, and makes suggestions for process improvements.
    • Partner with management to implement Listener Services key initiatives, with a focus on ensuring a positive listener experience.
    • Develop a well-trained, cohesive team.
    • This is a hands-on position. As a result, understanding of the work trenches, work flow and priorities are important, and being able to direct the team in daily activities and possibly stepping in at a moment’s notice may be required.
    • Manage a team of LSR’s depending upon the assigned shift. Work weekend shifts on a rotating basis, 4 weekend days per month.
    • Participate in hiring including recruitment and evaluation of candidates.
    • Participate in the management of the LSR team’s performance. Take the lead on training LSRs.

    Philanthropy Operations & Support Manager

    Overview

    The Operations and Support Manager works collaboratively with the Vice President of Philanthropy of the K-LOVE and Air 1 Foundation and the Managers of the Regional Representatives, towards the goal of building deeper and stronger relationships with donors for EMF ministry priorities. This position implements and maintains systems and programs used to support Foundational activities; oversees vendor contracts; and develops inventory of donor products/projects/programs. 

    Here's what you will be doing  

    • Lead by example in demonstrating a positive, energetic influence throughout the ministry. Consistently represent the ministry with integrity through actions, words, and behavior that supports and aligns with our Statements of Faith, Mission, and Vision. 
    • Work with VP of Philanthropy to develop and implement Philanthropy operational and technology plans, methods, processes and procedures that support the achievement of strategic objectives.  
    • Participate in business-plan annual review and goal setting of Foundation, including operational budget planning. Report on operational objectives, evaluating achievement of goals and results. 
    • Collaborate with Philanthropy Leadership and Reps to understand business needs. Develop and manage systems that support Foundation initiatives including donor contacts and relationship notes, financial data, marketing materials, an inventory of donor products, projects and programs, etc. 
    • Maintain and manage Donor Direct and other vendor relationships ensuring service, responsiveness, and contract fulfillment. Evaluate and communicate ministry system needs, ensure appropriate implementation - managing system upgrades/enhancements with vendors and EMF I.T. team. Manage system rollout and training to Philanthropy staff on all Philanthropy systems and resources. 
    • Collaborate with various EMF departments, including Listener Services and I.T. on donor activities, systems and reporting. Ensure donor communication and records are managed smoothly between Listener Services and Philanthropy. Partner with I.T. to ensure technology resources are fully functioning, including CRM, Studio Enterprise, portable devices, etc. 
    • Develop and create marketing materials and tools and an inventory of in-budget products/projects/programs of various giving levels for regional representatives and other K-LOVE and Air 1 Foundation staff to offer donors for funding. 
    • Monitor and provide reports to Leadership for the Philanthropy performance metrics (portfolios) and initiate the donor campaigns within CRM, ensuring appropriate tracking and reporting of gifts received and donor reporting. 
    • Manage and assume responsibility for all internal process documentation of Foundation products/projects, training material, and written communication, as well as ensure that the donor loop is appropriately closed upon The Foundation’s receipt of gift. (The regional representative group is expected to perform these activities.) 
    • Provide leadership and direction for Technical Systems Coordinator, managing performance and providing coaching, training and mentoring in order to maximize performance and professional growth. 
    • Maintain appropriate working relationships with Board Members, Executives, Senior Managers, Regional Representatives, and all EMF and Foundation employees. Coordinate spokesperson when needed for K-Love and Air 1 Foundation. 
    • Demonstrate the qualities of a life-time learner in the disciplines relevant to effectively lead and perform job duties by taking personal responsibility for professional development and training. 
    • Perform other duties as assigned. 
    Qualifications
    • 5+ years’ experience in customer service management, donor development, or operational support role. 
    • 3+ years’ of supervisor/management experience. 
    • Experience or demonstrated potential to interact with board members, executives, and the type of donors that fit the profile of a typical Foundation supporter. 
    • Strong analytic and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to understand a broad spectrum of needs and interests across a national portfolio of principal and major gift donors. Possess the ability to develop and maintain donor relationships with EMF.  
    • Demonstrated ability to understand operational infrastructure and IT topics as applied to Foundation activities. 
    • Must have strong computer skills including a thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office, CRM, Backstage (SharePoint), Presentation Software such as PREZI and Studio Enterprise. 
    • Strong leader with the ability to give clear direction and hold others accountable. 
    • Ability to meet deadlines and performance goals and manage others to those objectives and goals. 
    • Demonstrated and sincere interest in all aspects of EMF’s Ministry and a dedication to promoting the fundraising priorities through developing excellent relationships with others throughout the organization.

    OK there's not a typical day in the life of a PM, however it could look something like...wake up and thank God for this day and the opportunities to change lives. You might need a cup of coffee for that, so go ahead, enjoy. Jump in your car and turn on K-LOVE or Air1! Now your ready to hit the ground running. Say "good morning" to your fellow co-workers, head straight to a strategy meeting with your team, then make calls, connect with community and church leaders or event directors to discuss partnerships. You might take a 10 minute break and pray for our listeners who have sent in prayer requests. Take time to coordinate and check details for your next event, write copy, use social media to announce a listener contest. Lunch time already? Go re-fuel, cause your going to need it for your afternoon promotion downtown. Jump in the K-LOVE or Air1 car and meet your volunteers to spread the word and the music. Fast forward a few hours, wow, that was amazing! It's late, you're physically tired, but there's an energy buzzing inside of you from all those incredible listener stories! You know you're making an impact. Today was a blessed day and on your way home you can't wait to do it all over again tomorrow.

    So here's the nuts and bolts of what we are looking for...

    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in promotions, marketing, events, brand management within radio, media or the music industry.
    • Strong knowledge of radio promotional and marketing techniques

    PT Listener Services Representative - Day Shift

    Our Part Time Listener Services Representatives serve as an extension of what is happening on-air.  They do this, one listener at a time, through every caller that they talk to, email that they respond to & social media post or response that they write.

    Their goal is to enhance the listener experience by offering accurate and timely responses. They strive to deliver one-touch service and by responding, solving and assisting listeners without having to re-direct them. The role of supporting and responding to listeners puts this team in a front line role, making it important to listen well, show empathy, effectively address the inquiry and use conversational communication.

    They problem solve using ministry guidelines while balancing this with creative service solutions, improvisation and discernment.  This is a high energy, fast-paced, fast-changing position.  Being successful in this role will be based on your understanding of who we are, knowledge of our audience and passion for our mission, values and beliefs.

    Regional Representative -California/Arizona

    Underwriting Support Specialist

    Our Underwriting Support Specialist will support our Business Underwriting Team. This is no small feat! You will be supporting a team of 10 Regional Account Managers, in 4 different time zones across the country. You’ll be helping them with order fulfillment & client support, and pro-actively anticipating their needs. Each one of our RAMs will have different requests with different deadlines. It will be up to you to assist them, so that they can work with more partners, and in a bigger capacity.
