Engineering Applications Programmer
Our Engineering team is currently looking for an experienced Engineering Applications Programmer to maintain software interfaces that permit engineering staff to access and control satellite system functions and other ancillary data. This position designs, develops, tests, implements, and monitors software interfaces between satellite distribution equipment and various departments. This is a full time, on-site position, based out of our headquarters in Rocklin, CA.
Required Experience:
-
2+ years experience developing software and interfaces within a Linux environment.
-
Programming experience in HTML, SQL, Ruby on Rails AND C/C++.
-
Experience analyzing technical problems and system needs and developing software solutions
-
Experience troubleshooting and repairing failures in software design
-
Experience in networking and server hardware and maintenance experience required
-
In depth experience with Microsoft Server and Linux operating systems essential

Database set up and administration experience specifically using PostreSQL and MySQL
-
Candidates currently residing in the Rocklin / Sacramento area preferred
Educational Requirements: Associates Degree or equivalent college or technical studies in computer programming, information technology or related field.

Field Engineer I - Eastern Region (NH, MA or CT)
The Field Engineer I provides technical and engineering support to a variety of broadcast facilities in our Eastern Region, ensuring EMF programming is broadcast successfully and to the highest level of quality. The work performed takes place in a range of locations and work situations.
Qualification/Experience Requirements:
-
Minimum of 2+ years experience troubleshooting and repairing failures in broadcast electronic equipment – trouble shooting audio & RF issues in a radio transmission system.
- Thorough understanding of the components necessary in a broadcast air-chain
- Proven ability to deal with multiple, simultaneous problems in a systematic and logical manner
- Ability to read and understand basic electronic schematics, electrical drawings, and construction drawings, making appropriate modifications when necessary
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to carry out calculations in common broadcast-related formulae such as transmitter efficiency, transmitter power output, wavelengths, and antenna system gain
- Elementary understanding of satellite technology
- Ability to solder and desolder electronic components without causing damage to the components or PC board .
- Knowledge of applicable, broadcast-related FCC rules and regulations.
- Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral, written or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situation. Ability to think logically from problem to solution.
- Proficiency with standard broadcast test equipment, such as VOMs, oscilloscopes, and RF spectrum analyzers.
- Ability to work independently with a high level of integrity.
- Strong computer skills with to include MS Office products and other common software (Internet browsers, etc.)
- No relocation assistance available, so candidates currently residing in NH, MA or CT preferred.
Educational Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree in electronics; or equivalent work experience in related field
