    Counsel (In House)

    Working at K-LOVE & Air1 is nothing like working in your typical Law Firm or large corporate environment. For one thing; we are positive & encouraging, ministry minded & passionate about what we do. And for another thing; we do not wear suits. Jeans & shorts are how we roll.     As amember of our legal team, you will get to work with leaders from different areas within the ministry, providing legal expertise & assisting them with everything from FCC compliance to corporate governance to contract related questions.     Qualifications we're looking for...

    • Licensed to practice law in California or other jurisdiction (with Registered In-House Counsel status in California)
    • 3+ years of active law practice either in a corporate legal department or private practice with an emphasis in transactional, corporate or non-profit law, strong commercial leasing/real estate bkd, and media &/or privacy law a plus.
    • Experience analyzing, negotiating, reviewing, and drafting transactional documents
    • General knowledge and understanding of FCC rules and regulations

    Events Team Representative - Overland Park, KS

    Our Events Team Representatives (ETR's) are responsible for promoting & positively representing K-LOVE and Air1 within their territory. Our ETR's develop strong relationships & "presence" within their local communities to increase ministry visibility and brand recognition, resulting in increased listeners.

    A day in the life.......

    OK there's not a typical day in the life of an ETR, however it could look something like...wake up and thank God for this day and the opportunities to change lives. You might need a cup of coffee for that, so go ahead, enjoy. Jump in your car and turn on K-LOVE or Air1! Now your ready to hit the ground running. Say "good morning" to your fellow co-workers, head straight to a strategy meeting with your team, then make calls, connect with community and church leaders or event directors to discuss partnerships. You might take a 10 minute break and pray for our listeners who have sent in prayer requests. Take time to coordinate and check details for your next event, write copy, use social media to announce a listener contest. Lunch time already? Go re-fuel, cause your going to need it for your afternoon promotion downtown. Jump in the K-LOVE or Air1 car and meet your volunteers to spread the word and the music. Fast forward a few hours, wow, that was amazing! It's late, you're physically tired, but there's an energy buzzing inside of you from all those incredible listener stories! You know you're making an impact. Today was a blessed day and on your way home you can't wait to do it all over again tomorrow.

    So here's the nuts and bolts of what we are looking for...

    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in promotions, marketing, events, brand management within radio, media or the music industry.
    • Strong knowledge of radio promotional and marketing techniques
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop sincere business/ministry relationships
    • Strong communication and presentation skills. Experience and skill creating a contagious enthusiasm.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a contributing part of a team. Ability to handle a very fast-paced & rigorous work schedule.
    • Solid computer skills - MS Office (Outlook, Word & Excel)
    • And most importantly, you need to have a sincere passion & enthusiasm for the ministry of K-LOVE & Air1 and "get" what we are all about.
    • BS/BA degree in marketing, broadcasting, mass communications, public relations, or equivalent.
    • Candidates living in the local Overland Park area preferred.

    Additional info about this position...

    • This is a very physical position. Our ETR's are on their feet all day and regularly lift and transport heavy booths & equipment. Candidates must be able to meet this requirement.
    • This position regularly travels to events within their region and requires a valid drivers license & reliable transportation.
    • Understanding the local market is crucial, so candidates currently residing in the area are greatly preferred.
    • More than 40 hours/week is the norm in promotions. And working evenings, weekends & holidays are a regular occurrence/schedule.
    • On average, 25% travel can be expected.

    Field Engineer I - Ohio, Michigan

    Our Field Engineers are the first line of defense when maintaining our radio networks.  They make sure that we are on-air and transmitting at the best possible quality.  We have a huge responsibility to our listeners, broadcasting 24/7, 365 days/year, and our Field Engineers do not take this responsibility lightly. In addition to maintaining our existing signals, they are also involved with some pretty cool signal expansion projects!

    This position is a part of a national engineering team that has been blessed with technical resources unequal to many broadcasting companies in our country!

    This position is responsible for the greater Ohio & Michigan market.

    Qualification/Experience Requirements:

    • Minimum of 2+ years experience troubleshooting and repairing failures in broadcast electronic equipment – trouble shooting audio & RF issues in a radio transmission system.
    • Thorough understanding of the components necessary in a broadcast air-chain
    • Ability to carry out calculations in common broadcast-related formula such as transmitter efficiency, transmitter power output, wavelengths, and antenna system gain
    • Ability to solder and desolder electronic components without causing damage to the components or PC board .
    • Knowledge of applicable, broadcast-related FCC rules and regulations.
    • Proficiency with standard broadcast test equipment, such as VOMs, oscilloscopes, and RF spectrum analyzers.
    • Ability to work independently with a high level of integrity.
    • Strong computer skills with to include MS Office products and other common software (Internet browsers, etc.)
    • No relocation assistance available, so candidates currently residing in the local market preferred.

    Educational Requirements:

    • Associate’s Degree in electronics; or equivalent work experience in related field
    • SBE Certification highly desirable

    Graphic Designer

    Doing more than just creating exciting visuals, our design team works to design experiences; experiences that move our audience to not only engage with our brand, but to also find hope and encouragement. 

    Whether it is our station vehicles on the road, our roving festival experience or the mobile apps on the phone in your pocket, the goal of everything we design is to inspire our listeners to engage with a loving God.

    Here’s what we’re looking for…

    • 2+ years of in-house or ad agency graphic design experience.
    • Skilled in the current versions of InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop, with an understanding of Keynote & PowerPoint.
    • Strong HTML, CSS & WordPress would be a big plus!  Advance experience in WordPlus Development would be a bigger plus!

    K-LOVE Morning Show Co-Host - Indianapolis, IN

    K-LOVE is heard in 48 states, with signals in cities like New York City, Chicago, LA & Philly, to name a few…  Our mission is to inspire and encourage our listeners to have a meaningful relationship with Christ.  And that’s something that we are really passionate about.

    We’re looking for a Morning Show Co-Host with the ability to integrate into an established morning show team.

    This position will be based at our Indianapolis studios.


    Our ideal candidate will…

    • Have at least 5 years of major market on-air experience .  (PPM market experience a plus.)
    • At least 3 years of morning show experience (alone or with a team); able to execute every aspect of a morning show.

    Lead Events Team Representative - Miami, FL

         While our DJs may be the voice of the ministry, our Lead Events Team Representatives (LETR) are the face of the ministry. THEY are the people that you see at the K-LOVE & Air1 booth when you go to large community events, concerts or festivals. An LETR for K-LOVE/Air1 has Passion for our mission "Create compelling media that inspires and encourages our listeners to have a meaningful relationship with Christ."  In other words, it's not about us, and it’s all about our listeners and Him.

         As the Lead for Miami, you bring energy, insight and ownership to the team delivering short term marketing objectives while continuing to build and innovate towards our strategic long term goals. You should possess a unique blend of big picture vision, creativity, and project management skills to ensure our goals become reality.

         You will serve as a coach & mentor to Events Team Representatives in the area of promotional strategies, planning, techniques and best practices and will activate the market by building relationships with community leaders, engaging listeners, creating social media campaigns, and exposing the radio station to people who have never heard K-LOVE and Air1. You will collaborate with our creative, philanthropy and business development departments as you deepen our listeners’ experience through service opportunities, ministry outreach, events and concerts. This position is based out of our South Florida office.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience planning, coordinating & executing promotional events within the radio, media or music industry.
    • Prior experience working in a supervisory role/coaching/leading.
    • Strong knowledge of radio promotional and marketing techniques.
    • Strong understanding of how to utilize social media in a promotional capacity.
    • Good understanding of the local market & how to best approach promotions within this market.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop sincere business/ministry relationships.
    • Strong communication, public speaking and presentation skills. Personality and ability to create contagious enthusiasm.
    • Passionate, Creative, Energetic, pro-active, "gets our culture"

    Our Listener Services Representatives serve as an extension of what is happening on-air.  They do this, one listener at a time, through every caller that they talk to, email that they respond to & social media post or response that they write.

    Their goal is to enhance the listener experience by offering accurate and timely responses. They strive to deliver one-touch service and by responding, solving and assisting listeners without having to re-direct them. The role of supporting and responding to listeners puts this team in a front line role, making it important to listen well, show empathy, effectively address the inquiry and use conversational communication.

    They problem solve using ministry guidelines while balancing this with creative service solutions, improvisation and discernment.  This is a high energy, fast-paced, fast-changing position.  Being successful in this role will be based on your understanding of who we are, knowledge of our audience and passion for our mission, values and beliefs.


    Here's what we're looking for... 

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a customer service environment.
    • Strong computer skills; with proficiency using of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Sharepoint, search engines, Social Media forums and smart devices.

    Senior Systems Engineer

    What is it like to work at K-LOVE & Air1?  You’ll find that we’re a unique blend of ministry and media; in addition to being positive & encouraging and ministry focused, we’re also technology progressive, creative, dynamic & fun. 

    Our Systems Engineers have a pretty cool environment.  They get to be involved with a variety of technologies and projects (you won’t be pigeon holed as the “SAN guy” or the “Active Directory gal”).  They also get to work with high quality products (you won’t have to "make due" with lousy equipment).  As Sr. Systems Engineer, you’ll have a say in determining what products you use & what products make sense for the ministry. 

    Our  Sr. Systems Engineers , play a lead role on their projects, doing architecture & design, product selection, installation and administration. They work collaboratively with the infrastructure team to make sure the systems that the ministry uses are up and running.

    Here's what we're looking for...

    • 5-10 years of systems engineering experience
    • 5+ years of hands-on experience with leading industry standard server hardware & software
    • Prior experience designing and managing Microsoft Exchange
    • Experience doing architecture and design of IIS servers (including the use of SSL Certificates)
    • DNS architecture, design, and administration experience 
    • Experience with VMWare, ESX Server with Virtual Center
    • Experience with Microsoft Server 2008 and 2012
    • Architecture and implementation of Active Directory domains required
    • Experience with implementation and management of load balanced web server farms
    • Technical knowledge of industry standard disaster recovery policies and procedure’s is desired

    Senior Tax Analyst

    The Senior Tax Analyst is a leading contributor within the tax department. This position partners with the Senior Manager of Tax and Administration and utilizes their knowledge of Federal, State and Local Tax laws to accurately and timely file all aspects of the company’s tax issues including but not limited to personal and real estate property tax filings, sales tax, Form 990 planning and process improvements. This position is responsible for proactively researching and resolving tax issues, troubleshooting valuation issues with local government agencies, and implementing best practices to ensure compliance and a reduction in costs and operational consequences. The Senior Tax Analyst must be able to effectively communicate these issues, when appropriate, to management.

    • Proactively obtain and file business licenses in cities/counties with this requirement
    • Act as coordinator of the financial information from internal finance departments to outside auditors in preparation of Form 990 and other tax reports as assigned
    • Maintain an active relationship with the Fixed Asset Accountant and Engineering Department
    • Maintain knowledge of each site through the review of lease and acquisition documents
    • Determine accurate reporting jurisdictions by tying down the exact location for each site. Specifically, verify site locations in Accounting and Property Tax Management Systems with Leasing Databases, assuring the sites listed are correctly reported in the appropriate tax jurisdiction and that we have captured and reported on all appropriate locations
    • Research and resolve tax issues that arise. Proactively communicate issues with Senior Manager of Tax and Administration, clearly stating the issues, facts, and resolutions. Communicate issues and resolutions to other Finance Team Members as appropriate
    • Communicate with Legal, Leasing and other departments, to obtain additional information necessary for accurate reporting
    • Reduce taxes by applying for all available Christian or charitable exemptions, where cost/benefit warrants
    • Protest excessive assessed valuation notices by timely protests to assessors, if tax savings warrants
    • Follow-up with counties on billing discrepancies and submit all bills for timely payment
    • Manage use of PTMS property tax software for preparation of all returns, and implement additional features contained within this program to improve efficiencies, cost savings and accuracy

            Skills you should have to meet our minimum requirements:

    • Minimum 3 years of experience working in tax analysis and reporting in a multi-state environment
    • Strong organizational and administrative skills
    • Knowledge and proficiency with Federal, State, and Local tax laws and regulations and experience
    • Prepare and timely file sales, personal and real property tax statements
    • Proven analytical skills with experience applying financial models and methodology to strategic initiatives, analysis and management
    •   Solid written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong computer skills; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), MapInfo, Google Earth Pro, RadioSoft, and analytic tools
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently; establishing and meeting performance/ministry goals
    • Exhibits versatility and flexibility. Regularly adapts to change while maintaining a positive attitude and high productivity
