Engineering Applications Programmer

Our Engineering team is currently looking for an experienced Engineering Applications Programmer to maintain software interfaces that permit engineering staff to access and control satellite system functions and other ancillary data. This position designs, develops, tests, implements, and monitors software interfaces between satellite distribution equipment and various departments.   This is a full time, on-site position, based out of our headquarters in Rocklin, CA.

Required Experience:

  • 2+ years experience developing software and interfaces within a Linux environment.
  • Programming experience in HTML, SQL, Ruby on Rails AND C/C++.
  • Experience analyzing technical problems and system needs and developing software solutions
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing failures in software design
  • Experience in networking and server hardware and maintenance experience required
  • In depth experience with Microsoft Server and Linux operating systems essential
  • Database set up and administration experience specifically using PostreSQL and MySQL
  • Candidates currently residing in the Rocklin / Sacramento area preferred

Field Broadcast Technician - Englewood, CO

The Field Broadcast Technician partners to ensure EMF programs are broadcast on time and to the highest level of quality through proactively acquiring, maintaining, installing, or modifying broadcast equipment. The work performed takes place in a range of locations and work situations.      

Some of the day to day tasks will include...

  • Assist with the installation, operation, test, maintenance and repair of broadcast equipment (such as audio processors and modulation monitors) used in radio broadcasting.
  • Assemble & install broadcast components & equipment.
  • Build, modify & repair broadcast equipment.
  • Documentation.
  • Maintain equipment inventory data.
  • And a bunch of other duties as required.

Experience that we're looking for...

  • Associate's degree or equivalent college or technical schooling
  • 6+ months of experience installing & repairing broadcast equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports, documentation and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before customers/listeners or other employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to solder and desolder electronic components without causing damage to the components or PC board.
  • Ability to use basic test equipment and safely use basic hand and power tools desirable.
  • Basic understanding of FCC rules and regulations.
  • Ability to drive and/or travel to field sites as needed.

Field Engineer I - Eastern Region (NH, MA or CT)

The Field Engineer I provides technical and engineering support to a variety of broadcast facilities in our Eastern Region, ensuring EMF programming is broadcast successfully and to the highest level of quality. The work performed takes place in a range of locations and work situations.

Qualification/Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2+ years experience troubleshooting and repairing failures in broadcast electronic equipment – trouble shooting audio & RF issues in a radio transmission system.
  • Thorough understanding of the components necessary in a broadcast air-chain
  • Proven ability to deal with multiple, simultaneous problems in a systematic and logical manner
  • Ability to read and understand basic electronic schematics, electrical drawings, and construction drawings, making appropriate modifications when necessary
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to carry out calculations in common broadcast-related formulae such as transmitter efficiency, transmitter power output, wavelengths, and antenna system gain
  • Elementary understanding of satellite technology
  • Ability to solder and desolder electronic components without causing damage to the components or PC board .
  • Knowledge of applicable, broadcast-related FCC rules and regulations.
  • Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral, written or diagram form.

  • Proficiency with standard broadcast test equipment, such as VOMs, oscilloscopes, and RF spectrum analyzers.

Our Lead Promotion Managers (LPMs) are the senior / lead members of a Promotions team.  They serve as a coach & mentor to Promotions Managers (PM) on the team in the area of promotional strategies, planning, techniques and best practices.   The LPM will lead an office in partnership with Promotion Managers (PM) to create strong relationships within their community; expose the radio station to people who have never heard K-LOVE and Air1; and deepen listener’s experience through service opportunities, ministry outreach, events and concerts within 3 hours of the local office. Success will be measured by increased cume, web visits, donations, social media participation, listener attendance at events and involvement in ministry outreach.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience planning, coordinating & executing promotional events within the radio, media or music industry.
  • Prior experience working in a supervisory/leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of radio promotional and marketing techniques.
  • Strong understanding of how to utilize social media in a promotional capacity.
  • Good understanding of the Charlotte market & how to best approach promotions within this market.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication, public speaking and presentation skills. Personality and ability to create contagious enthusiasm.

Regional Public Affairs Manager - Indianapolis, IN

K-LOVE & Air 1 is currently looking a Regional Public Affairs Manager.  Our Regional Public Affairs Managers are responsible for ensuring that K-LOVE and Air 1  meet and exceed minimum FCC requirements. They develop strong relationships and “presence” within the community, specifically with Ambassadors (volunteers), City Officials, and Churches, resulting in FCC Public Affairs Compliance.   Although there is extensive travel, "home base" for this position will be our Indianapolis studios.

Qualification/Experience Requirements :

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in public affairs, marketing, public relations within the broadcast industry
  • Strong knowledge of FCC Compliance and FCC Licensing Regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop sincere business/ministry relationships
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently; establishing and meeting performance/ministry goals
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to travel 50% or more to each City of License within your territory

Regional Representative - North Carolina

We currently have an opening for an experienced fundraising professional for our North Carolina region. The Regional Representative is responsible for managing a list of current major donors in a defined geographic region. The RR is expected to minister to the needs of the donors and identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward these very important ministry partners for EMF Broadcasting. The RR will also be cultivating their contact list to network outside of their given lists to develop new potential donor partners.

Qualified candidates will have the following experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 solid years of major gift fundraising (development experience with an evangelical non-profit a plus)
  • High energy development professional with a proven track record of building donor relationships and closing gifts
  • Demonstrated ability to understand the needs and interests of major gift donors in order to develop relationships between them and EMF
  • Demonstrated and sincere interest in all aspects of EMF’s ministry and a dedication to promoting the fundraising priorities through developing excellent relationships with others throughout the organization
  • Successful experience in developing in depth cultivation and solicitation strategies
  • Self motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Strong commitment to uphold and support EMF’s Mission, Statement of Faith and Standards of Conduct.
  • Candidates currently residing in this area are preferred.
