In addition to serving on the EMF Board of Directors, Darrell Chambliss is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Waste Connections, Inc. He is a member of the founding management team for the company, which was launched in 1997.
As an integral part of the Waste Connections leadership team, he has seen the company grow from first year sales of $18 million to nearly $1 billion in 2007. As the EVP/COO, he is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Waste Connections, Inc., as well as for performing due diligence on potential acquisitions and the integration of all acquired companies. Since its inception, Waste Connections has acquired more than 170 companies and is now the fourth largest publicly traded company in the waste industry.
Prior to starting Waste Connections, Chambliss served as operations manager of a large freight company and a district manager and division manager for two waste industry companies.
In 1986, he graduated from the University of Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
Also a husband and father, Chambliss is an avid K-LOVE listener and Christian music fan. He and his wife, Andrea, and son, Nate are active members at their church in their hometown of El Dorado Hills, CA.
Chambliss began his four-year term on the K-LOVE Board of Directors in 2007.
