At the doctor's office the other day, I came across an interesting article.
A counselor claims that there are 3 statements you can say to your children that will significantly improve your parenting and the way your children behave.
- "Do you need a hug?" Instead of lecturing a child on their actions and attitude.
- "Do you want to talk about it?" When kids are upset, regardless of why.
- "I am SO happy to see you!" The way you react when your kid enters the room is so important for their well-being and sense of self.
