First Day of Kindergarten

My son starts Kindergarten this week and I found myself volunteering for 7 different things just so I could be around my son more. He will be riding the bus for the first time tomorrow. Share your first day of school moments with us here or on Facebook.

The Things Children Say

Our friend Debra Johnson sent us this message about her granddaughter:  “Today was first grade back to school night. I took Gracie, my granddaughter, to meet her teacher.  I tried to not look like a total frump and wore black pants, a nice little summer sweater and a top with metallic embellishment on it. Gracie looked me up and down...inspection I guess, and said, "Nana, are you trying to look all fancy, so people won't realize you are old?" I am going to miss her.

Morning Inspiration Luke 12:15

Then he said, "Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own." Luke 12:15, NLT

I have noticed that I have been measuring others success by what they own. Thinking, "wow look at their house, I wonder what they do for a living?" When the ultimate truth is, if they don't have Christ then they are not a success but a failure… Not that there is anything wrong with having wealth, in fact I think it is perfectly fine to be wealthy as long as God is first in your finances.
