34 Days Until Easter

Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.  He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.

God has now revealed to us his mysterious plan regarding Christ, a plan to fulfill his own good pleasure.  And this is the plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth.  Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan.

5 Love Languages

A big "thank you" to Dr. Gary Chapman, author of the 5 Love Languages, who took us deeper each day this week on a different "love language".

If there have been times in your life when you haven't felt loved, it might be because you don't know your love language.  Equally important is discovering the love language of those you love.  To find out your love language, take the quiz!

Love Language - Physical Touch

We hope that during the course of this past week you've been able to determine your love language, but just as important - discover the love language of your spouse, your children ... really for anyone you love and care about.  Dr. Gary Chapman, author of the 5 Love Languages, joined us for the final time this week to discuss the love language "physical touch":

This language isn’t all about the bedroom. A person whose primary language is Physical Touch is, not surprisingly, very touchy. Hugs, pats on the back, holding hands, and thoughtful touches on the arm, shoulder, or face—they can all be ways to show excitement, concern, care, and love. Physical presence and accessibility are crucial, while neglect or abuse can be unforgivable and destructive.
