Talking about writing music:
As a Mom, I often feel like I am not measuring up. In fact, just the other day, I was thinking about all the things that I try to juggle and how often I feel like I fail. Especially when I comes to my kids. I probably have more doubts in this area than any other area of my life. Perhaps because it matters so much. A video that has hit the web is bringing moms to tears. It features a group of women who were asked to describe themselves as moms. The women answered with brutal honesty with comments like "I struggle with my temper," and "I wish I was better at taking time to sit down with my child." I'm pretty sure we all feel that way at times. The makers of the video then brought in the children of these moms and asked them the same question. They had very different answers.
In fact, grab some tissue, watch the video, then send it to every mom you know. What you do matters! You are loved! Great job, Mom!
On Saturday, I stood by the side of the road watching marching bands from local high schools struggle past me, decked out in polyester pants and sporting large plumage on their heads. My son's band was no different. In fact, I would post a photo, but he said "No way!" Those are some seriously ugly outfits!
However, upon seeing this video, my son decided that, although the marching band outfits are embarrassing, it could be worse!
Those poor kids! Perhaps they can find hope in seeing what IS possible! Check THIS out:
