Proud "parent moments!"

I would have to say that one of the proudest moments in my life with my 2nd daughter (20 years old) is her being sober for 9 months now!  Her life has changed and she has received Jesus into her heart through her new life!  A moment I never thought possible and wouldn't have been without God!  There were times that I would fear that she would not live and now her life is full, and she is on the right track!  

the most recent proud parent moment  for me was last Sunday. My daughter accepted Christ into her heart. it was beautiful

My proud parent moment is when my daughter, Lacy, unexpectedly told me she was pregnant, she chose adoption rather than abortion.  Although abortion was totally out of the question, she knew that as a teen age mom, her child deserved a two parent family...a mom & dad.  She gave her baby girl to a great mom & dad.  It is an open adoption and God turned a horrible, uncertain thing into a blessing for all of us.

Last night I found some of my hubby's old preaching notes. On them was this story; He was sitting at the kitchen table telling our then 4 yr old daughter how BIG God is, & how awesome He is, & how GOOD He is. When he was done he asked her, "Rebekah, what do you think of that?" She thought for a minute then giggled and said "He is soo silly!" It was cute listening to them & funny to realize that as a 4 yr old she understood but didn't have the words to explain it.

     Last Sunday the preschool choir sang at church.  My Livi Jane had a two line solo!  I've watched this numerous times, and I still cry with happiness that my little girl is singing for the Lord!
     My oldest son moving to Boy Scouts, my younger son witnessing to a child at school, and my older daughter helping a older lady at the store without being told....
    Of course, having 4 children, I can find many "Olympic" moments!

I am a mom of three, and there are many moments while my children were growing up to be overly proud, but one of proudest moments was watching my daughters being baptized in a freezing Oregon River. At that time we did not know that my oldest daughter had graves disease. She came out of that water freezing cold with her teeth chattering, and the hugest smile upon her face. When asked about her life with Christ she proclaimed her love for the God who died for her even though she was a merely a child. Now as a mom how can you not be proud, for that is the prayer of my heart. That my children know and love Christ as their Lord and Savior.

One of my proudest moments of my son was last year at his wedding.  During the Best Man's toast, his best friend said that my son was a truly godly man, who had held him spiritually accountable their entire friendship.  There is NOTHING better a mother could hear said about their son!!!!

We recently watched our son graduate from Navy boot camp in a phenomenal ceremony at the Great Lakes Naval Base. I was so incredibly proud of my son and all of the other young men and women who graduated that day (over 900) and the families who came from all over the country to support them. The Navy stands for 'Honor, Courage & Commitment' and every American should salute these young people. They truly do deserve it.

my 18 year old son died suddenly on may 20th of last year....I am so proud thet even though he was not perfect....he knew God and he touched soooo many young lives...though they all didn't share his faith, he showed them god's love by being there for them...all of them...I can't count the number of young adults that have publicly said he had such an impact on there live s because he was always there for them...always tried to make them feel better and always give them hope.....being a teen now days is very hard and he made it easier for many...his ceremony was amazing to me because he had touched so many young lives in a positive way.....For this I am PROUD!!! And thankful to God for the time we had with him.....

My proudest moments as far with my two youngest are when the oldest one helps the younger one do things she is still a little too small to do! One example, the oldest, who is 4, put the baby's (she is 2) tennis shoes on for her yesterday.

Our son, Scott is a Firefighter, EMT, Paramedic. In Dec. he was the one who turned off the three valves to shut of the flow of propane on a 30,000 gallons tank as the leak in the line was spraying back onto the tank and was on fire. Not only are we proud of his actions, we are proud that each time he was interviewed about doing this, he gave credit to his whole department. They did it as a team. There were 16 firefighters who were within feet of the tank that day. They are a team and we are proud of ALL of them for putting their lives on the line.

My proud momemt is when my youngest child said I Love You! This is so special because he was diagnosed with Autism at four. I had to wait until he was eight years old before I heard those great words. I was tucking him into bed one evening and I looked at him and said I love you and so does Jesus just as I did every night. As I was walking out of his room I heard his sweet small voice saying I love You . I was in tears. Such a sweet moment that I will always treasure. He is now thirteen and has come a long way in his language and social skills.                       My next proud moment will be next Friday the 26th when my oldest graduates from Navy bootcamp. He was not making good choices and it had me concerned but he decided on the Navy and now he has turned around and making something good out of his life.
I can't wait to see him graduate-my proud moment!

One of my many moments is . My youngest was up on stage dancing during praise and worship she put her arms out as far as she could and laid her head back with her eyes closed just soaking up and loving on God. She was glowing. Wow what a blessing.

I am not a parent, but I am an aunt. I was with my sister and her three boys at the dentists office one day. My middle nephew, he was probably 5 at the time, peeked his head over the desk of the receptionist and said, Do you know Jesus? The lady laughed a little bit and said, well not really do you? And with a big smile on his face he said, Well yes, I do!!. Cutest moment ever. Always awesome when little ones share God with others!

I'm not a parent. I'm actually a 21 year old college student, but my mom is a 51 year old college student! When I went to college, she decided to also! For the past 4 years she has worked full time as an elementary school teacher AND gone to school full time majoring in Elementary Education. She will graduate this May and has a 4.0 gpa! I couldn't be more proud of her.

My proud moment was the way my daughter, Elizabeth handled cancer!  She is 20 years old and went through heart surgery and biopsy's and chemo for 8 months.  Elizabeth told me when she was feeling at her worst she would picture Christ on the cross dying for her.  She said if he could do that for me I know he is with me now.  The faith she has and has shown has been a good example to everyone.  i love her and and very proud of her!

My daughter will be 2 in a couple of weeks.  One night, we were all in our living room.  Kaylynn walked over to her diaper bag, picked up a folded paper from her Sunday School class, opened it up and happily shouted "Jesus!"  My husband and I froze, looked at the picture, and sure enough, it was a coloring page of Jesus with little children on His lap.  What an eye-opener it was for us when we realized that she is absorbing what we and our church familiy is teaching her!  We are so proud and blessed to have her!

The day of our daughter's senior awards promgram. First of all the teacher's had told us when she was in 3rd grade that she was 2 years behind her classmates becausse of her learning disability. And therefore we should serious think about her going for a certificate of completing High School. After talking with her she said she wanted a dipolma. She worked much harder than her classmates. And we where proud of her for just graduating. The day of the senior progam she was awarded  a full 2 year scholar ship to the local community collage. The fact that she was born 3 months early and weighting only 2 lbs. 3 & a half oz. and was able to complete her goal of graduating was mildstone for us. This was the proudest moment for both her father and me.

I have always taught my two boys to be who God created them to be and do their best at everything as unto the Lord.  They are now grown and married.  They have accomplished much professionally and in service to the Lord.  I have experienced so many proud moments from the time they were babies.  One proud moment that has continued to be a lesson for me came from my oldest son when he was 19.

Our family had decided to spend a Saturday painting the bedroom of a teacher friend who was bedridden suffering from cancer.  We expected to take a few hours to get the room painted.  After cleaning, patching, caulking, and painting until every little detail was taken care of, our son continued to walk through the room looking for the slightest imperfection.  It was now evening.  We had been there all day, and I wanted to get home.  I said, "Josh, it is good enough."  He turned looked at me and said, "Dad, do you want people to see what we have done and know it was a volunteer job or do you want them to look at it and assume it was done professionally?"  To this day, when I volunteer my service or give of my possessions, I try to do the very best I can.

I would have to say my proudest moment is when my 15 year old daugter met her true love, only to have to say goodbye to him, 2 years later, when he passed a way with heart problems. She looked at me and said  God brought me in to his live so that he would find true love before he died.He was saved one week before we said good bye to him.
The second proudest moment is when my second daughter was disowned by her father for becoming pregant at 15. She said mom if I could do one thing in this life and not fail, I would talk to my dad.

Wow!  It is difficult to pick one moment.  Here are three for each child.  Some background is needed.  Our children were all in the foster system, so we have only been able to share God with them for the past four years.  

Our eldest daughter is 14,  Two weeks ago, she told my wife and me that her days go better when she falls asleep listening to K-LOVE.  We had to stay calm while dancing inside.  We wanted to say something, but God told us to play it cool.  She always wants to listen to pop songs, so we were thrilled!

Our son is 12 and is very much the pre-teen boy.  He does not remember ANYTHING.  We can write things down for him, tell him several times, but nothing sticks.  So, when he had to stay with some friends, of ours while we were out of town for a week, we were overjoyed that he asked them to take him to his Youth Group meeting.  

Our youngest daughter is in the sixth grade.  She plays basketball for the Parks & Rec.  We watch a lot of basketball, so, I spend a lot of time talking about the art and science of the game with her.  During one of her games, the opponent would not break away from her team-mate.  Our daughter saw that the ball was coming up court very slowly because of that pressure. So, she planted herself and crossed her arms.  She set a perfect screen!  She said, "I heard God telling me to help Sarah."

We are always proud of my children!  God has truly blessed us with them.  Every little time that God can come into their lives is a wonderful blessing.  Thanks for letting us beam about our kids.

When my boys were teenagers they coached Special Olympic athletes for the City of Wenatchee.  My husband and I would sometimes attend the practices and watch our boys coach.  I will never forget observing my oldest son as he ran the bases with one of his athletes.  I was also privileged to watch my youngest son tenderly encourage and help athletes at his practices. Both of my boys are now men who are attending college to become special education teachers.  I am so very proud of the men that they have become.  They have the love of Jesus in their hearts and their love truly shines.

I actually have two proud momma moments. First when my oldest, Izabell was 6 and asked me if she could get baptized. I said sure and at her baptizmal she gave the reason that she wanted to get baptized. She said, " I want people to see Jesus when they look at me and I want to help people find Him." The second just happened the other day, my 4 year old, Victoria, was talking to a lady walking by and said, "bye, I love you." I said, Victoria you should just tell family and close friends that you love them. She asked why, I said "well, you don't even know her" She said " I know but I wanted to tell her I love you because God says to love all people." My jaw dropped and I was in awe of the wisdom that just poured out of my 4 year old's mouth. Truely out of the mouths of babes we can learn a lot. God is so Good!

It is hard for me to pick one proud moment that my son Earl Glenn has made me proud.  Everytime I look at him I am proud.  God has Blessed me with a wounderful son.  He is 16 years old, and never has gave me any trouble.  Every since he was little all I had to do is look at him and he would smile at me, without me saying a word to him, and he still does it today.  I just hope he knows how much I love him, and how proud I am of him.  Thank you K-Love, Sharon  

My proud parent moment is when my daughter, Rachael (15) is in the front of our congregation singing her heart out with the praise team.  God gave her such a talent with her music, her voice and her stage presence.  I can't wait to see where God leads her with it!!

My son, Wesley, is a great musician with a great voice and natural musical talent. He is 16 and has set his heart on getting through high school, going to Ozark Christian College in Missouri and majoring in worship ministry. He practices his guitar every day for hours on end! (sometimes when he should be doing homework) But I am so proud of the path he is taking... that he is  determined to follow in serving the Lord!

I have proud parent moments just about every day. I have a 3 year old son who is autistic. When he looked at me and gave me a kiss, that was a proud moment. When he shook his head "no" at me, that was a proud moment. They are those moments that others may take for granted, but they make me cry tears of joy. My other proud moments come when I see my 5 year old son take such good care of his brother, accepting and loving him just the way he is...praying for him to talk and be able to play. I have been truly blessed with 2 wonderful sons and I am looking forward to many more proud parent moments.

I have two amazing boys that I feel so privileged to call my sons.  I have been their dad since they were 7 and I was 21, and am their second adopted father.  My heart breaks when I think of them moving in and out of foster homes, and having to leave behind not one, but two families.  They have endured things I cannot even imagine.  But through it all they remain incredibly wonderful, genuine guys.  As they approach 18, I feel so blessed to see the godly men they are becoming.  We've had our bumps, but to the Glory of God, they are both servants at heart - and their history has made them wonderfully compassionate, caring people.  They have blessed me so much.

I am so proud of my 20 year old son, Tim.  He has gone to church since he was an infant, but the closer he got to 18, the more he was finding that he didn't get anything of church.  He went on a Youthworks Mission Trip when he was 17.  He really didn't want to go but thought it would look good on a college application.  Well, he came back a different kid!  He is so on fire for God!  He is now the leader of our youth group.  He has preached sermons three times.  He has been texting Bible verses EVERY NIGHT to the youth group.  This is from an e-mail that he sent to our church e-mail prayer chain: "You are all part of the Prayer Chain through church, and I feel that the time has come for me and the youth group to challenge all of you.  Every night I send the youth group Bible verses, they read them, think about them, pray about them, and try to apply them to life.  There are three ways that we grow closer in our relationships to God, we go to church, we pray, and we read His word.  So I will be sending you all the same Bible verses I send the youth every night.  It's up to you whether or not you read them or discard this email, however I will send them every night, I pray you read them and see where God is in your Life."  The first set of verses were: 1 Samuel 17:4,8-11,32-33, Psalm 84:11, 23:4, Matthew 19:26, 1 Samuel 17:37, 40-49, Philippians 4:13.  They are like little sermons every day!  I am so proud of him!  He does all of this while attending college full-time!  He is studying to be an architect, or now possibly a pastor.  I don't think I could be any more proud of him!

In the end of my sons junior year of high school he was accused of something he did not do. It was a terrible struggle. His senior year he was always in the shadow of the accusation. When he was accused it was very public but when they found out the truth there was no apology at all. At graduation he had several disappointments the only family at ceremony were his dad,2 sisters and me.(mom)The ceremony was under way and the guidance councilor announced that there was one young man who walked with grace while under pressure, and he is the only one in the senior class going into the armed services...Derek Nason would you please stand and the whole auditorium broke out in applause and a standing ovation.I was proud of him before and so grateful he did so well in spite of a difficult situation.

My most proud parent moment  was last week, when my 13 year old daughter came home telling me how her friends were discussing loosing their virginity on their prom night. After almost having a heart attack, my daughter said, "mom I spoke up and told the girls that their body was a gift that was made special for their husbands, and that she intended to save herself for hers and they should do the same". It made me realize that she really does listen to what mom and dad have to say and is looking for her value in Jesus, not in others.

I HAVE 2 ADULT SONS I'M VERY PROUD OF. ONE IS MENTALLY ILL WITH SCHIZOPHRENIA, HEARING VOICES ALL THE TIME. YET HE LOVES TO LISTEN TO KLOVE WHENEVER WE ARE IN THE CAR AND TO ATTEND CHURCH AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE. THE OTHER SON WAITED UNTIL 32 TO FIND THE WIFE HE FELT GOD HAD BROUGHT TO HIM. AFTER 4MO. OF MARRIAGE SHE TOLD HIM GOD TOLD HER NOT TO MARRY HIM AND HE DIDN'T MAKE HER HAPPY AND LEFT HIM. SINCE THEN, GOD HAS WORKED IN HIS LIFE ALLOWING HIM TO FORGIVE. HE HAS NOW BEEN ON THE MISSION FIELD 11 COUNTRIES IN 11 MO. HE GAVE UP HIS APARTMENT AND JOB WHICH HE HAD FOR 10YR. LEAVING ALL TO OBEY AND FOLLOW THE LORD AND SHARE JESUS WITH OTHERS. WE'D APPRECIATE PRAYERS FOR THEM AS THEY CONTINUE IN THEIR WALK WITH THE LORD. FROM A GRATEFUL MOM

  I am  twebty -0ne year old just proud of my mother!!!!  She  has the musical gift of playing the  piano!  But  because she si so busy taking care of five os us kids, a wonderfull husband, all bills, house, employies, she does collage, and  she is a vonlunteer teacher teaching preschool at  our fellowship's private school!!!!   WHat a mother!  But  when she does play she brings the true-real presence of God in the room!  One day she was playing her piano in thier upstairs  bedroom!  I sat on her computer chair!  She sat there with her eyes closed and her head back just over wellmed by the spirit of god worshipping her father!!!!  I was sitting there just listening to the beautifull mussic  When I just bowed my head and started to cry!  I ask Jesus to frogive me of all my sins and told him how much I loved him and what he ment to me!!!!   It had not been for my mom opening her heart to the HOly Spirit to worship  Jesus Crist  through her gift then I would have not   felt his presence, ask forgivness , and told  Jesus how much I loved him!!!!      ONe night dad decided to bring mom's  electric piano downstairs.   You see   when  me and Joy my younger sister were little my  mom would play on her old wodden piano, my dad would stand or sit beside her aand as a family would sing worship and praise songs to god  almost every  night for long hours.  We kept  doing that through John the third oldest when he was little.  But then more  two more children and just life got biusier until we did  very rarely!   That is how it is now!   But any way!  Like I was saying last year one night my dad decided to bring my mom's new electic guitar downstairs!   My dad was becide my mom again!  Me and  Joy sat on the couches while the younger ones were playing around in  room.   My mother started to play and Ohhhh!!!!   I was surrounded by God's   peace!!!!!   It was so strong that I  could not here a sound!!!!  I could see  my mom playing the piano with her eyes closed - singing to God, my dad singing, joy singing, and  younger ones plating around but did not here a sound!  I was so astounded and amazed!!!!  I just closed my eyes, laid my head back against the coach , and just enjoyed the still peacefull presenc of God!!!!!!!!!   I AM SO PROUD  TO HAVE SUCH A MOTHER WHO IS A TRUE DAUGHTER OF GOD!!!!!!!

  I am  also so proud of my father!!!!  It is through my father how I got born again!!!!!   He was  just a oil field worker!!   I was not born by layen of hands or at a church biulding but in our little living room!!!!   It was  on Sunday right after we got back with assembling with  the family of Crist. I was six years old.  My dad was sitting on the old green coach in the small living room. My dad told me to come here!  Coming daddy!  He asked me if I wanted to ask Jesus in my heart!  I said Yes daddy!  Now  what happened next h as and will always affect my life!  My dad did not  lay hands on me  or  told me to repet aftere him.  He just said," SON YOU KNOW WHAT TO PRAY, JUST PRAY!"  So that is what i did!  I bowed by little knees, took hold of his huge hands, and asked Jesus in my heart!   Four years later I was field with the Holy Spirit!!!!  What a father who loves God so much!!!!!   Without him I would have never  had been born again!!!!!!!!!  I am so proud to have a father like him!!!!! I just turned twenty- one this Tuesday!  My father got me a card!  This is what it says.  " JUST REMEMBER, WHEREVER LIFE TAKES YOU, WHATEVER DREAMS YOU FOLLOW.... YOU WILL ALWAYS BE MY SON, AND I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU.

THat is what every son and duaghter wants to here!!!!  I am so proud to be  his  first born son!!!!!!!!!!!  

My daughter is 15 & plays the guitar & sings at Borders in DeKalb every now & then.  She writes her own songs & my favorite is a Christian song she performs.  Every time she sings it it brings tears to my eyes.  I am so thankful God is growing her into young Christian lady.

I have two children and I am proud of both.  In January 2009, my son accepted the calling to join the U.S. Navy.  He was always been the type that preferred a computer to physical activity.  He preferred sleeping in to being up and at it.  He preferred doing his own thing rather than someone telling him what to do.  So, when I went to his swearing in on September 16, 2009, I was a little skeptical that he had made the right decision.  He exceled through 8 weeks of bootcamp, he lost 44 pounds, served as a RCPA (Chaplain's Assistant)and is now a USN Sailor.  When I went to his graduation ceremony on 11/13/09 I realized that God calls us out of our comfort zone to achieve great things.  I have to say that he has always had my love and I have always been proud of him but I have a whole new level of respect for him as my son and as a man.

My daughter who is 26 has achieved so many things in her few short years.  She is one of those that she sets a goal and achieves it.  She wanted to buy a house, she worked two jobs and bought her first house at 21.  She wanted her college degree, she worked night shift, slept a few hours during the day and went to college at night.  She graduated with her BA in 5/2009.

I am so proud of her for what she has achieved but even more that she has God's eyes for the hurting.  She has His heart for those around her.  She works for a company that has many employees who live paycheck to paycheck.  There were several families really struggling.  So, she and a friend bought all the ingredients for a special dinner, made it home-made, took it in and fed 60 people on third shift.  She not only provided nourishment for the body but food for the heart and soul of hurting people.  Now, that is one proud moment for her Momma!

I am 40 years old and was blessed with two wonderful son's. My youngest went home to be with the Lord at 12 years old he had brain cancer,that same year he passed away I divorced my husband of 19 years. My oldest son was 14 at the time that his brother got sick and his dad and I divorced. This was the year that my life changed. My oldest son been only 14 got into modeling went to New York for a month his photo's were put on MPE and in a New York magazin, He was very active in school sports and got good grades. I was able to pay rent and make sure we had food not much more then that. He always made sure to let me know how greatful he was for everything. He graduated with a scholler ship in 2008. Used it to go straite into a trade school. He's 20 years old now and is already a electritian, he works out every day and eats healthy, He attends church with me and my soon to be husband. With all that we have been through and done over the last 6 years. He never gave up and got cought up in the world. I have truly been blessed. Every time I look at him I thank God with trears in my eyes for blessing me with my son. I could have never got through the last 6 years if he wouldn't have been the amazing person that he is.

My ultimate proud parent moment was in June 2008 when my then 7 year old daughter was baptized. Since then there have been many more with her, in 208 it was her making her first basket in her first little league basketball game. She does karate and every time she tests for the next belt, I am so proud. In 2009 her 3rd grade teacher recommended her for the gifted program at school and I was so excited for her when she was admitted based on her test scores. I am amazed by her intelligence and drive to learn and succeed at what she does.
My proudest moment with my  4 year old daughter was when she was 2 and told me GOD made the worl and he was great which she had learned in Sunday school.  Another is hearing her sing the song Faith along with the radio in the car.

I am currently experiencing my "Proud Parent Moment".  My seven year old daughter, Kyrsten, and I wrote a Christian Children's Book about a little girl and her pony.  It started as a fun little project for her and I, and when it was finished it was easy to see we really had something.  I sent it off to PublishAmerica, and they accepted it for publication, as well as entered into a paying contract on it.  It soon will be finished, and available right away online at major retailers like Barnes and Noble, Amazon, BAM, and so on.  She was asked to speak in front of her whole elementary school about it, we are having a book signing at a local Christian book store, the local public library is going to carry it, we were invited to speak at a local private Christian school, and doors are opening left and right with people and businesses all over the place.  God has truely blessed us with this, and I am excited to see what an impact our little book will have.  We have plans to make it a series of four total books!  She is the co-author and illustrator, and we are very excited to see it in book stores all over the world!  "Alicia and Policia" will soon be the key to sharing Jesus with people all over the world, who are only expecting to get a children's book, but get the gospel instead!  Glory to God!

on youtube there is a video Josiah singing Mighty to Save and when he was singing there are many things to be happy about. when you ask Josiah whos child he is, he will say GODS and he sang the Christian song Mighty to Save at a public school in front of Christian and un Saved people! Keep going Josiah! GOD IS LOVE!

My  "proud parent" moment was when my daughter with cerebral palsy went to her first day if school. She goes to a school that has a large percent of disabled children. She was really happy and it made me really happy that she could meet new kids.

My proud mama moment is actually moments...I am so proud of the way my two sons (now 22 and 18) have used the divorce of their father and me to come to know Jesus.  Since then (which was 9 years ago) they have grown so much in the Lord.  My oldest just got married last year to a wonderful christian woman and they are making a life with wonderful christian friends. My other son is not afraid to say in his high school newspaper how he warms up for football games by praying to God and he is a leader of junior high boys youth group at our local church.  I learned from them that through myself coming to accept Jesus in the divorce they also wanted to have the same thing I had.  And now, 9 years later, my ex-husband has accepted Jesus and has said how proud he is of both the boys and me.  I am amazed at how blessed I am to have been given these boys to me.  

One of my PROUD mommy moments was when my son Joseph (now 8) was in kindergarten. He came home from school upset and wanted to talk to me about what had happened. One of his classmates told him and the other kids on the playground that there was No God. This upset my son so much that he pointed his finger at the child and yelled "THAT'S A LIE,and YOUR SPEAKING WITH THE DEVIL'S TONGUE!" As a christian parent, we always wonder if we are doing our best to teach our children about God's love and prepare our child for the would we live in. I pray that my son's strong faith last him a lifetime!

I have three teen-age children - and many proud moments.  But, last year, when we sat in the hospital at the bed of their dad/my husband as he was dying, I was never prouder.   Although he was unconscious, our daughter spent some alone time with her Dad, talking to him, and then left the room.  Our two sons stayed with him and me until his last breath - we prayed, we recited Scripture, and we talked and sang to him.  Although our hearts were breaking, it was precious to spend those last moments with him as he was ushered into glory.  I was so proud that they held it together and stayed with their dad and me.   And through the next few days as we planned and went through the funeral, I was so proud of how they seemed to grow before my eyes and dealt with the reality of death in such a mature way.   Not to say there weren't tears - there were, but they realize their Dad is in Heaven - we have a hope that many people don't have.  

One of my proud-parent moments was when my husband and I renewed our wedding vows in a church and our boys got to participate as junior groom and ring bearer!!

For the last three years we have been taking care of my husbands aunt Laurie who suffers from a brain injury and is not able to live alone. She spends most of her days in her room where she is happiest but occasionally will join us for family time just to smile and laugh at my 2 year old daughter peyton. One Day I was out in the yard with Peyton as she was picking a bouquet of yellow wild flowers. I told her "those are so pretty, are they for me?" She said "No, these are for Laurie." It brought tears to my eyes that at 2 years old she had it in her heart to make an elderly handicapped ladies day!

tomarow is monday.make a difference monday.
my difference is going to the state capital for a field trip.theres a park across the way from the capitle and my class and me are going to the park and feeding the homeless.i just wanted to tell you guys.

My proudest moments in my childrens lives so far are when my two oldest children ask my husband to help them to ask Jesus to come into their hearts and the prayed that prayer with the seriousness that a grownup would do. I am also proud of my two youngest because they are just them.

we live in a fallen world were life in the womb in often disreguarded and over looked it is often not considered a human life at all. The bible says other wise and psalm 139 testifies to that.
I am five an a half months pregant with our third child. My husband and I have lost two others Immanual just three months along to a misscarriage, and Corinthia at nearly14 weeks to premature labour.
My son and daughter have taught me more about God love through their short lives then any Mother could hope for. They still remain a huge part of our lives although theres was short lived God has used them in so many ways to touch the lives of others to have them saved to save the lives of babys unborn when their mothers considered abortting them through our pain he has given others life and  allowed us to lead them to him. I may not have all my children with me but I no I will see one day and I am so proud of them and how they have lived lives honoring to God and that brought him glorly. I am so proud of how they have helped me and my husband grow and learn.

Here is a letter that I wrote our family and friends when we lost our daughter... I wasn't going to share it but I feel really lead to.

Our Dearest Friends and Family,

After 12 hours of labor we gave birth to our Daughter Corinthia Faith Johns She was born and died at her parents house in Tulsa Oklahoma at 1:38pm on June 6th, 2009 our second child and second miscarriage. She was 13 weeks and four day in the womb.
Psalms 139:13-17  For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.  My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.  Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.   How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!
WE do not always understand God's will in our life....but we remember that the bible says 2 Corinthians 5:8  We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. And that all things work together for good. Romans 8:28  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Knowing that  has brought us comfort.  I t also read Isaiah 55:9  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. Life does not always seem fair but God is in control. He is the author and sustainer of life. Job 1:21  And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.

We named our Daughter Corinthia because of Chapter 13 in Corinthians and the love that it talks about  A love that God has shown us through our children and marriage as well as our walk with him. James gave her the middle name of faith because of the faith in which she and her brother have given us. In spite of what doctors have told us were possible God has granted us two children when man said we would have none. We are truly blessed.

Although our children’s live were short lived...they are greatly loved both in heaven and on earth and will be missed by us always. But we know that in Christ we are saved and will see them again some day. It is our hope and just goes to show how merciful and amazing God really is. Wonderful and worry of praise.

I honestly though that I would be angry...after losing our first child I was it didn't seem fair and I could not understand. It seemed so cruel and wrong...but I think I have seen something now that I didn’t before BEAUTY THROUGH ASHES.....My heart aches and that of my husbands....it is devastating...our hopes..dreams..ambitions crushed.....12 hours of intense contractions and labor to bare a lifeless  child. It seems over whelming and yet there is a peace I have never felt... it makes me think of Philippians 4:7  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. There is no other way to describe it. I hurt but I can bear it and even smile. I hold no anger at God and know that he does all things well and that it is his will and not mine even though it does not make since to me right now. It is hard to say Lord thy will be done and not mine some times...but amazingly if you truly cry out to God I know he hears and I am confident that he answers. If pour out everything in you.... It says Psalms 147:3  He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds. God never leaves you now forsakes you Hebrews 13:5  Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. he was there the day we found out I was child...the day we lost out first child.. when we conceived Corinthia...he formed her knew her days...and gave her purpose..He was there all 12 hours of labor with both of us..preparing our hearts...and hearing our prayers. Isaiah 40:31  But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. It says in second Corinthians My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.

There is good even when it does not seem like there should be there is peace even when if feels like a storm is raging within us....the is hope in a fallen world and light, and it is all because of God in our lives and what he did on the cross. James and I wanted to share this with you. Because God has done something in our lives that we don't understand but that has changed us and brought us closer to him and each other.  I do not know how any one can look at life and something so beautiful and not no in there hearts there is a God and that is Lord over us all. I can not understand how some one can not believe in creation and   I never will. I have never been more sure of my faith or the bible as I became to day. Nor have I ever felt so close to God..like he is right there holding me.
He has answered our prayers just in a way we didn't expect... it hurts a lot but their lives have meaning and they are still our kids and we love them both and miss them dearly and are thankful for them none the less.  

God has given us a type of serenity I never knew existed...nothing has ever been as hard as this...but never has there been such peace in the midst.

God can do amazing things in your life if you let him. I was bitter for a long time over many issues....the death of our first child and then learning that we would lose this one too...I was mad...and anger....God changed that in a matter of hours. Not all women will miscarry and have to do it be going through labor although after reading online it is very common...it was not what we expected our first child was not as far a long and was missed carried like a normal hard period with bad cramps...this was unlike any pain I have ever felt before....and longer then any I have been under....it was difficult and scary I didn't know what to expect or do...thank God James was there. We didn't want to go to a hospital because of policy...and how hurtful the Doctors often are also because I didn't want a D and C unless necessary.....I am glad that we had chosen to stay home...it was personal. and something happened between Me, James and God that I can not explain....in 12 hours all my anger was gone.....from losing our children and other life trials I had...a heavy burden was lifted.... and God granted me the serenity to accept the things I can not change... he gave me peace..and strength when I thought I would faint of pass out...from pain or being so tired.. In a since he healed years of pain and a brokenness that was in me. Never have I poured me heart out the way that I did today and never was thee such a peace and contentment. There was pain yes but there was joy.. in seeing my child although dead....I got closure going to a hospital would not have given me... and I saw such beauty in God and life...there was beauty in ashes to me. I thank God for the experience and the strength that it took. and the answer to our prayers.

One of many proudest moment of my son is not like any other. In 2006 my son was with a group of friends hiking when he lost his footing and fell to his death. The day of his services so many of his friends each one by one went up and spoke about him and what he had done for them in their lives.
Some of them were from broken homes and were lost and did not have God.
My son Nate showed them so much love they said that they had never experienced the love and caring that he had showed them. They said that he had changed the way they looked at life, and that he had been an example of who and what they wanted to be in their life.

The testimony he left behind for all of us came two nights before he passed away. He had a dream that he was falling and before he touched the ground Angels were beside him, he said that he had great strong wings and he said he could feel the wind underneath as he was lifted up.
He told my husband and I the very next morning and was so excited! As he told us about the dream he had the biggest smile and I could tell there was so much love, joy and peace with the dream.
This dream of his gave us so much comfort when the accident happened I share this testimony of his every chance that I get.
To see so many of his friends lives changed because of my son I just can't think of a prouder moment.

I am a mother of three and one of my proud mom moments was when my two year old son ( who has a gift form God of playing the drums) played for  my children`s choir one
Sunday Morning at church.  Everyone thought it was a grown up but our Chaplin realized that it was my son(Dominique) Man Man and told everyone who couldn't see that the person that was playing was him!!!! I was very proud and honored that God would chose my son to be a such a blessing and gifted percussionist!!!  He carries his sticks around with him like an athlete carries his basketball or football!!!!!  He loves to play for the Lord.  Every chance he gets he goes into the sanctuary and tells me "Mom, I gotta go practice!!" I love his dedication!!!

One of my proud moments was with my 16 year old daughter. She was having a hard time in school with grades and friends. Her attitude at home was bad. She was very rude to her little sister and didn't show respect to anyone. She was making all the wrong choices. In church they announced there was going to be a search for the teenagers. I told her she should go and was trying to encourage her to attend. She really didn't want to listen to me. A couple of weeks later she came home with the application and asked me fill it out for her. She was going!!! The search was a full weekend and at the closing she stood up and said her new best friend was God and thanked me for telling her about it.  Now she is a completely different 16 year. She has God in heart now. I was SO proud of her.

On Friday my kiddos and I had a horrible ride home, in a winter storm. We slide side ways across oncoming traffic and came to a stop off the road. After checking my kiddos I broke down and cried. My 3yr old grabbed her 2yr old sisters hand, eyes closed tight she began "Thank you Name Jesus for my sissy and me no get hurt, thank you name jesus for my mommy and my Ika (brother)no get hurt. Name jesus help me mommy i want go home please." It feels good to know my baby knew where to turn.

I have had so many proud moments with my three sons. But for my son Vince.  He volunteered with kids, coached football,won the Principals Cup out of over 400 kids his senior year and I could go on and on. But I think the proudest moment was when he fought his battle with cancer.  And up until the day he Lost, he never asked God why me.

My 7 year old son spent the night with a friend of mine and her grandson. My son Zane was in the kitchen eating a snack and my friend told him that she would sit with him so he wouldn't be alone. He said, I'm never alone or scared, you know why? She said no why. He said because God is always with me so I am never alone even when I am by myself.

Often, we don't give our children enough credit to know that even at a young age, they have such a pure sense God and that God is with us at all times.

My proudest moment of my son came just tonight.  A little about my little Hero. He is 11 months old and he was born with a bilateral cleft lip and cleft palatte. He has already had the surgery for his lip repair and had tubes in his ears. He was in the hospital for 13 days when he was first born and had a few feeding issues. He is the strongest person in the world. He never gives up, he goes above what everyone says or thinks he can. His palatte surgery is on the 30th next month, right after his 1st birthday. Before he can have his palatte surgery, he has to be completely off the bottle and drinking from a REGULAR cup, not a sippy cup. Today, we took the bottle away and he has done great all day. Tonight I expected difficulties with his nightly routine and that he wouldnt drink. He took all but 1 ounce of his formula from a regular cup with no fuss at all. I cant imagine being more proud of him. He has overcome all the obstacles in his life and he always does it with a smile. He will always be my hero. I praise God for every single thing about him and that He is always with my baby.

My proudest mommy moment came just tonight. First, a little background on my little hero. Our 11 month old son was born with a bilateral cleft lip and palatte. He was in the hospital for 13 days starting when he was 5 days old. He has had his lip repair surgery and tubes in his ears already. He has had a few feeding issues and has beat them all so far. His palatte surgery is on the 30th next month, right after his 1st birthday. Before his palatte repair surgery, he has to be completely off the bottle and drinking from a REGULAR cup, not a sippy cup. Today was his first day with no bottle and he did really good all day. Tonight I was nervous that he would not do so well since he usually falls asleep while taking his last bottle of the night. But when I put him in his chair and gave him the cup instead, he did fantastic!! Barely any mess and he took all but 1 ounce!!! He is forever my hero. Praise God for all he does!!

Proud parent moment of my life is when I was able to learn piano and play my first piece on stage for the very first time. I can see the happiness in there eyes shouting that was my daughter. When I remember that moment I feel how much they love me. Simple but a moment I will cherish forever.
