Yes, it is too early for Christmas music.  Please wait until it is a little closer to Thanksgiving.  If you can't do that, maybe a Christmas song an hour.

A local radio station is playing nothing but Christmas music and it just makes me cringe.

I think it is too early for Christmas songs. I like to savor them as much as the next person, but I agree with Scott. I don't want winter to come to early. I have spent most of my life living in upstate NY. So I personally don't like to hear Christmas music until after Thanksgiving.

My mother died early November 5 years ago and the station I was currently listening to was playing mostly Christmas music and most of it was commercial (Rudolph, Frosty, etc.). There was no hope or comfort in that music. Please do not play Christmas music until after Thanksgiving and then only those that glorify the LORD. Thank you.

Yes It is too early for christmas music, many are too eager to jump into christmas after Halloween and forget about the wonderful holiday Thanksgiving.  Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to give thanks and deserves its on month of celebration.

It is definitely to early to start Christmas music! We have to enjoy the holiday of Thanksgiving and not push it away to make room for Christmas. Also Roosevelt pushed Thanksgiving up a week in 1939 to give more room for the Christmas season.

To, to early to listen to Christmas music. Last year I put my Christmas tree up on Thanksgiving Day. By Christmas day I was ready for the holiday to be over. Christmas should start in December and last until after Christmas Day.

Sorry Scott, but I have to agree with Kelly on this one, THAT IS IF AND ONLY IF the radio stations do not pollute the waves with it.  Christmas is my favorite time of the year and I look forward to hearing the music of the season.

there is a local secular station that starts playing christmas music before thanksgiving non stop through christmas.  i think for a christian music station, you should start dec. 1st and play it non stop, not once in awhile. i want to listen to it on K-love, not some secular station.

My son Bobby is 21 years old and a senior in college--he has over 200 Christmas CD's--he LOVES Christmas and listens to Christmas music year round!  It's never too early for Christmas music if you ask him!  We call him Mr. Christmas--his birthday is in December as well. With him it is not about the music, gifts, shopping--it is about the reason for the season--Jesus!

Please wait until closer to Thanksgiving!  I love Christmas music but I cannot be embraced yet. The other Christian station in our area plays only Christmas music starting at Halloween and I've already shut them off.  If you must, one an hour, not all the time.

I love the Christmas season and Christmas music, it's one of my favorite times of the year. BUT, it is way too early to start playing Christmas music now. I think you should wait until after Thanksgiving, otherwise, by the time Christmas gets here, it's kind of ruined in a way.... There is such a thing as too much of a good thing.

I was looking for Christmas music today. Usually I can find one station that does Christmas music non-stop starting Nov.1 Yes Halloween is over and Thanksgiving isn't here yet, but what more should we be thankfull for than the BIRTH of OUR LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST. I understand those who don't want it all day long, but for me it gets me in the mood for Christmas gradually instead of Cramming Christmas in less than a month after Thanksgiving. I like to take my time and enjoy Christmas so maybe like others have been saying lets start with 1 Christmas Song a hour, then we can move to more the closer we get.

My husband has put a boundary on when we can decorate. (i did a Christmas in September 20 years ago that i never took down and he has stood firm with the November 1st date since !!!)  Christmas is the spirit of unconditional love and this is just the time we get to shout it out.  I can never get enough of it. ( for I live it out all the year through. )  I do not get caught up in the "commercialism" grumbling for that is not what I want to pay attention to.  Yet i have found that individuals really like all the stops to come out after Thanksgiving-- so that is how I give to them, just little pieces after November 1st until after Thanksgiving.  After that it is Christmas all the way-- but in my house, I have started to decorate and i have all my CD's out and playing

We're Christians...why shouldn't we be able to randomly celebrate Jesus' birth for three or four minutes, even in the middle of July?

  A Detroit station plays Christmas music starting November 1st until Christmas is over. ONLY Christmas music. It's not a Christian station either.  I think they started doing that the year that Dearborn got the okay to play those eerie Muslim calls loudly all over town several times a day.

Christmas songs should be played anytime of the year because it marks the event of all time. The birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I might get sick of the Christmas season because of the how the world commercializes it, but I am never tired of praising my Savior in songs about His birth, His death or just His awesomeness.

Yes, it is definitely too early for Christmas music.  If a radio station plays Christmas music before Thanksgiving, I boycott listening to that station until December.  Playing music this ealier is giving into the "commercialization/materialization" of Christmas taking away from its true focus.  All these stations start playing music early and then stop on Dec. 26th.  I would rather hear the music the week after Christmas until New Year's.  That is when a lot of families are still celebrating.  Don't play it.  Keep playing the inspirational Christian music.  Enough stations play Christmas music, you are the only Contempory Christian station we have in our area.

I realy think that we should stick to the latergical calander on this. When you open the first day on the advent calander, then you can start the Christmas music. Don't get me wrong. I sing to beat the band and drown out the chours when it comes to carols, but not till then. Sorry Kelli

I absolutely love Christmas, it is my favorite time of year, very magical and beautiful. But like everything else, there is always the possibility of ruining it with too much.  You know the old saying, "too much of a good thing is bad!"  I believe by starting the Christmas music early it somewhat desensitizes everyone to what makes Christmas...well..CHRISTMAS!

Please don't spoil Christmas by playing Christmas music too early. It just dilutes the specialness of the season. Let Christmas have its own time & space and not weeks & weeks of hype. Enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday with all the traditions, then move into Christmas. That's what makes the magic and mystery that is the coming of our Lord, baby Jesus.

I live in WI and Fall/Winter is my favorite time of year!  I get to witness the change in colors and how beautiful that is.  Then we slid into Christmas and the joy that brings!  However, I REFUSE to listen to christmas music before Thanksgiving.  In fact, I will not listen to radio stations who choose to play before Thanksgiving.  I did receive some grief from my wife and kids for a while, but they now see the light too.  The minute Thanksgiving is over I allow Christmas music in the car and the house.  I am from the mindset to be thankful during Thanksgiving.  We have a month or two to celebrate Christmas.

I love to hear Christmas music all year around; the Christmas season is way too short as it is!  It's always a great thing to be reminded of what Christmas really should be about; so my vote would be to start playing a variety of Christmas songs now to help everyone remember what Christmas is REALLY about:  it's about showing God's love to everyone all year long; not only in December!

A local "Christian" Cincinnati radio station prides itself in starting Christmas songs earlier than any other station in hopes someone tunes in after Christmas. Their songs include Santa Claus is Coming to Town and other songs that have nothing to do with Christ. I dread November 1st and no longer listen to them since they start on November 1. Please don't make the same mistake because I have KLove 24-7 throughout the house and backyard via my stereo in addition to my car radio. I like Christmas but first off it's too early and second off, no Santa Claus, please. It took me forever to figure out how to comment.

For many decades, it is understood that the Christmas season does not start until the Country Club Plaza turns on their Christmas lights @ 7:15pm Thanksgiving night.  Anyone within 100 miles of KC could be run out of the country if caught turning on lights or playing Christmas music prior to that.
I always have KLOVE streaming into my office and heard "Oh Holy Night".
I have to tell you, everything is going crazy here in KC now!  Businesses and schools are closing!  There's a run on banks and grocery stores!  Oh, the humanity!

The birth of Christ is the most amazing day in history.  Why is it only "proper" to reflect on this day one season of the year?  As far as mixing the seasons up, don't Thanksgiving and Christmas kind of go hand in hand anyway?  I for one am "Thankful" for the birth of Christ. Nooooooooooooooo!!!!!!  Way too early for Christmas music.  Why must we RUSH everything?  Part of the magic of Christmas when I was a child was the season and the anticipation.  I still enjoy that magic and I love Christmas music.  But there's such a thing as too much of a good thing, and it's really disappointing to be sick of Christmas songs by the end of November!

I demand a re-count.  I had strange looks when you played that Christmas song.  And if they stop my pumpkin spice latte and switch to egg nog too soon, then you Kelli would have ruined my birthday!! (comes in the week of thanksgiving)

I agree with Scott, I think it is too early. I prefer to wait til at least 1 day after Thanksgiving to dig out the Christmas decorations and Christmas music. Otherwise I get tired of it to by Christmas. Last year we had a lady at work that played it 8 hours a day from thanksgiving til Christmas and I got tired of it really fast.

I think that it is a bit too early for Christmas music. i think that the way times are today we seem to be in a hurry for things to come. Much of anticipation has been lost thanks to retailers. I feel that after Thanksgiving is when a tree should be put up, and the music of christmas can fill a home.

Uhm...it's too early to listen to Christmas music.  I am a spiritual warrior and I thrive with the Christian music you play and the positive stories your dj's share.  It lifts me up and strengthens my spirit because I get to praise my God with you and through your music.  

But! Since Christmas music is played 24/7 for the 3 weeks prior to the holiday we choose to celebrate Jesus Christ's birthday, ehm... can we hang off of playing Christmas music on November 1st please?

Kelli, I'm going to agree with Scott on this one. It's too early for Christmas music! Sadly, it's still short sleeve weather down here in MS.
I have an idea though: why don't you play some songs to make us think about being grateful (which is a theme of Thanksgiving and Christmas). We have so much to be thankful for (Christ's love for us, our families, great music), and the theme of "thanks" can be found in countless Christian songs.
In about a month, I'll be happy to get on the Christmas music bandwagon!

It is never the wrong time for Christmas music!!!
We have to put up with garbage from the media and the rest of the world, why shouldn't we (as Christians) celebrate the greatest holiday period whenever and wherever we want.  The church that I preach at has had a Christmas in July each of the last three years.  In the Texas panhandle, July can be very hot and frustrating, so why not break up the dog days of summer with Christmas in July!
Every body buys a little gift for $5 and we meet at the church Sunday evening, exchange gifts, and watch a good Christmas movie.  This year for Sunday morning, we had chamber music (a cello, two violins, and two violas). They played Christmas carols for 15 minutes before the worship service, during offering and communion, and then for the multiple of Christmas Hymns that we sang for the worship service, itself.  You talk about making it extremely special, it was unbelieveable!!!!  Everyone loved our Christmas in July this year.  I really have no idea how we might have any chance of trying to improve on it for next year.  Christmas 365 days of the year--
after all, without that birth, there are no Christians, no Christian music, and ya'll would be working probably for a heathen--or a Jew!

Why do we give Thanksgiving such little credit as a holiday? Don't you think the same God we celebrate at Christmas would appreciate that we set time aside to give Him thanks for all His Grace to us?

See, for me it's not that its too early for Christmas. The problem is we don't see Thanksgiving as the important day it is.

Every year we think how nice it would be to make Christmas everyday of the year. Every day would be more like Christmas if we first made every day Thanksgiving.

I've been playing Christmas music since June when my brothers, sister and I set in stone our plan to have Christmas together this year with our families!  This hasn't happened in 20 years!  I'm so excited that I had to break out the Christmas music-- especially TSO!

If there were as many new Christmas songs written, as there were Christmas songs rearranged, that would be one thing, however, there seems to be only so many Christmas songs written, just rearranged. When you hear the same songs over & over & over, you (I) begin to not like them.

I started listening to Christmas  songs last week.  I recall family since past on, and it makes me calm and feel at home.  We move often (Military).  I missed 2 Christmas seasons at home for deployment....I will be home this year, I am ready for the music anytime....

It is definately not too early for Christmas music. If you really think about it, we don't know the exact date that Jesus was born anyway. He could have been born in May and it was just cool out that night. I think Christmas music is as good in any month as it is in December. I mean, I wouldn't go full Christmas music yet, because the normal music is still important and wonderful to listen to, but it is not to early to start.

No!!! It's WAY to early to play Christmas music!! We need to focus on Thanksgiving first!! I think that the day After Thanksgiving, we should start the Christmas season. If we start playing Christmas music now, we will be sick of it by the time the ACTUAL season is here. I'm sorry Kelli, but I'm with Scott on this one!

Ok. So I think that its fine to listen to Christmas music any time of the year. We are celebrating Christ's birth and I think its ok to think about it more than for just a few weeks in a whole year! I think we should celebrate Christmas and Easter all year long, so why not listen to Christmas music? Its just another way of praising the Lord. So I'm with you on this one Kelly.

Scott, I still appreciate and celebrate Thanksgiving all month long but still listen to Christmas music, last year I posted something I was thankful for each day during the month of November on my facebook page.  This year I will do the same... BUT I still listen to Christmas music all during the month of November and December and sometimes even January.  Kelli is right there is not enough time between Thanksgiving and Christmas to really celebrate the birth of Christ through music!  I love it and I love the holidays.... Thanksgiving and Christmas alike!

Scott, I'm from a little town in Minnesota called Jackson.  Not sure if you've heard of it. So, even though you are a fellow Blue Jay, I'm going to have to side with Kelli!  I now live in Montana and the snow flies early here, so the Christmas music usually comes out when the first flakes appear (which was a couple weeks ago).  I love the peacefulness the Christmas season brings, so I have no problem extending it a couple months.  Play those Christmas toons, Kelli!  Maybe Scott drank too much lake water when growing up...  (I kid with love).

Instead of dreading the Christmas decor tear-down, I couldn't wait for the day after Christmas to do it! Wow! What a great idea...So, if the decor is up...definitely put on the music as well.

One of my teachers has been counting down the amount of school days till Christmas break and today it was 34! Thats like a little over a month so why not start playing the Christmas music. I love Christmas just as much as the next person but, it is too early.  A lot of us have financial problems and when Christmas comes around all we can do is stress out.  I think we need to wait at least until Thanksgiving is over.

Hey Scott, Just wanted to let you know that Thanksgiving is an invented tradition! There is NO historical research to suggest that the Pilgrims and the Native Americans actually celebrated a feast together. So, Christmas can begin as soon as it wants. There will be no messing with our "history."

Yes you should play Christmas music. I think it will lift our spirit with joy and love earlier and we will be more cheerful. To make it fair for all of us you guys can play about 5 a day or more.

HI, Im up in Kodiak Alaska.  I think you should start gradually playing some Christmas music.  We got our first snow last night, YAAH!!  and just to help change the mood over to the holiday seasons coming up a little bit of Christmas/ holiday/ thanksgiving songs could help.  Along with it dark up here right now, so bright music helps get us through the long dark winter.

It is Advent in the Church calendar, however I don't think going wall-to-wall christmas music before Thanksgiving is good idea.  How about one christmas song every couple of hours and slowly increasing the frequency up until Advent is over?

Really?  One of the things that makes me dread this time of year is that we go from no acknowledgement of Jesus for 10 months to 24/7 Christmas.  Everywhere a person turns they are bombarded with Christmas (usually -Jesus) and it is all commercial HATE IT HATE IT HATE IT!!  Why can't we play Christmas music in every month of the year instead of only a few weeks a year 24/7? As for before Thanksgiving - NO!!!

I agree.  If we wait until after Thanksgiving then we only have 3 or 4 weeks to listen to Christmas Music.  That is not enough time!!  We are THANKFUL and BLESSED that Jesus came in the first place, so it fits for this time of year.

Kelli, you should go to the Philippines during Christmas. They have no Thanksgiving & celebrate Christmas during the months of "ber" (Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec) with Christmas music on the radio 24/7, handmade decorations with the family, caroling, etc.  Christmas Eve at midnight is the fireworks to welcome in Christmas & then the eating & festivities begin with friends & family all through the night into the day.  A really nice time!

Please wait on the Christmas music.  All the music that is played should be about Jesus.  Let's keep the Christmas specific music for closer to the holiday.  And then please leave out the Santa Claus and snowman stuff.

Although I have already gotten my iPod ready for Christmas and I am wholly looking forward to the Christmas season, I would probably wait until the day of Thanksgiving to bring out the Christmas stuff(that's when me, my mom, and my dad put up all the Christmas decorations).

I love Christmas music but I believe playing it before Thanksgiving takes away from the celebration of Thanksgiving.  We should focus on one holiday at a time so we can truly cherish each meaningful holiday.  To me, starting Christmas celebrations before Thanksgiving downplays the joy of this truly wonderful holiday where we are expected to do nothing more than be thankful for what we have and to share it with those we love. The day after thanksgiving should be the official season start of Christmas.

Please, do not play Christmas Music right now.  I have stopped listening to two different stations over the years because they started Christmas Music way too early and then on December 26th, still the Christmas Season in the life of the Church.  I would hope that K-Love would not buy into the secularization of the world.  Christmas is about so much more than the glamor and the glitz presented elsewhere.  Even in Christianity, Christmas is the lesser holiday; Easter is the true celebration.  Thanks for listening.

Yesterday on my way home from work I heard the question posted about playing Christmas music.  Well I am one of those that truly enjoy listening to Christmas songs all year long. I was very happy to hear WE Won! and my favorite song played. I was only 3 min. away from my house when we had a traffic jam and that helped me to listen and enjoy  " Oh Holy Night".  Also God is good, as the music was playing pollen was everywhere and for a moment it seemed as if it was snowing. Weird but true, So my vote maybe late but I vote for Christmas songs played earlier. Request, can you play one more Christmas song today?

When the Christmas song was played I turned the program off.  For a single mother of 4 that has no money for Christmas does not want to hear the music on 11/1 just to remind her of that fact!! It also upset me that you are forgetting our Veterns on 11/11 and skipping Thanksgiving. You're helping the corporate world that has "commercialized" Christmas as well.  The sooner it gets started the more money they can make. PLEASE - let the month of November be for giving Thanks and the month of December for celebrating our Lord and Savior's birth.

I would love to hear Christmas music from December 25 through January 3rd or 4th as the time to celebrate is the time between Christmas and New Years.  It seems stations start playing Christmas music so early and then once the big day arrives, it's back to the regular music December 26th.

Christmas isn't about the commercial aspect of the year it is about the birth of Christ. Playing Christmas music celebrates this so NO it is not too early to start playing it. Also since there isn't a huge selection for thanksgiving music then we have not choice but to listen to Christmas music since this is the only holiday in the fall that comes with its own selection of music. Remember Scott it's not about the holiday but the celebration of Christ birth.

Corperate America is how the economy will get back on track. If they aren't making money they don't hire. If they don't hire then more people are unemployed. If listening to Christmas music helps Corperate America start making money sooner than more people get jobs and we can server two purposes. Recognize and give thanks to Jesus and help the jobless.

I would say yes to Kelly if you want to listen Chrismas music. But I need to say all Americans (whoever live in United States) need to know meaning of Thanksgiving. How this historical Holiday is important for Americans. Even I was not born in here, I studied this history and I can see how God prepared this land to be as God's new world. Importance of Thanksgiving is not as just festival of harvest.

PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASE don't start playing Christmas carols until the day AFTER Thanksgiving.  We often forget to thank our wonderful God for all the incredible blessings he has bestowed on us so let's concentrate THANKSGIVING Day as a reminder.  

I didn't get to call in yesterday, but when I hear you say that maybe we should move Thanksgiving, I just had to laugh.  My sisters and I have been wanting to start a petition to do that for several years now!!!  There is never enough time to do everything you want between Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Moving it to the first Thursday in November would be great (except there's the election thing so that might not work...)  After all - who would not like to have more time between the two holidays?  

For those who love to shop - more time to do it.  For those who love to procrastinate - you get to wait even longer!  The world is more peaceful, more loving, more generous....all good things to have last a little longer.  To those who Bah Hum Bug...well now you too get a few more weeks to complain.  Retail stores would love it!  Party goers would be thrilled they could get in some more parties.  Christians would have more time to ponder the real meaning of the wonderful time.  Charities would welcome the additional giving.  Congress would love the additional time off.  We'd have more time to bake, cook, eat, wrap presents, don't wrap presents, visit family and those we don't get to see often enough, spend quiet time at home, make memories with family, pack more shoeboxes to send around the world, go to all the special Christmas plays and programs (which we'd have more time to prepare for!), and those of us who LOVE Christmas music....well we just might be able to get our fill of listening to it!  Afterall, what could be better than having a little bit of the joy of Christmas in your heart every day all year long?  Christmas Every Day for me!

it's never to early to listen to christams music! it's been playing in my car since september!!!!

I heard about this last night and I knew I had to respond. I have to agree with Kelli! It is not too early to start playing Christmas music. I have had my Thanksgiving decorations out for a month now, but I am really looking forward to getting up my Christmas decorations. Anyone who knows me knows I am a Christmas fanatic anyway. My dad and I have always decorated outside our house for Christmas since 1988 and it has always been special to me. But when I lost my mom to cancer in September 2006, the only way we coped with it was to look forward to decorating for Christmas. We had that to focus on. So that year instead of decorating for Christmas Thanksgiving weekend like we used to do, I ordered a brand new Christmas tree. We got the tree in the day after Halloween and my dad wanted to put it up the first weekend in November. It was beautiful and the change in tradtion helped us get through an extremely difficult time. My immediate family is very small with both my grandparents and mom had gone on to be with the Lord. This past year has been very challenging along with my dad having a heart attack in July, with which he is still recovering. He was declared clinically dead for 2 to 3 minutes at the hospital before the doctors and nurses got medication in him. So yes, with being a member of my church for 8 years now, and listening to K-Love for 7 years, I would not have been able to make it through what I have. I am so Thankful to have a Savior Jesus Christ that loved all of us so much to die for us so that we can have eternal life with him. You don't know how many people you could be helping get through a difficult time during the Thanksgiving and Christmas season, for whatever reason they are going through. Christian music is about Jesus and if it wasn't for His holy birth, we would not have Christmas music. So yes! Keep playing it!!

I personally don't celebrate Halloween as 'Halloween but as the start of Fall and Thanksgiving! So my Fall starts around the time of back to school so by the beginning of November I want Christmas music playing because I am so sick of pumpkins and leaves and all the fall colors! Also here in PA we get snow in November so why not start the festivities! People say that PA is the only state that you can have spring, summer, fall and winter all in the same month! Think about it.... Rain, 70 degree weather, 50 degree weather and mornings so cold that you have frost you have to scrap off your windows before you go to work! Gotta love PA! At least I dont miss anything! Let the Christmas bells ring Kelli!

Also, Thanksgiving is a time we put aside to give thanks for the harvest, yes! But many of us give thanks to God everyday for everything in our lives and we don't need a special day for it! I am not saying that Thanksgiving is not a holiday to celebrate just that by Thanksgiving I already have my tree ready to be put up after we eat dinner that night and christmas carols playing all day!

I think that you should wait till maybe the week after Thanksgiving! Let's celebrate Thanksgiving first! Every one seems to forget about that. All the stores, etc... I love Chirstmas music! I think that it is way to early for Christmas music.  I attend a liturgical church, and we sing and play Advent music between Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve.  The season of Advent is to prepare our hearts for the coming of our Savior.  We sing Christmas music from Christmas through Epiphany (Jan. 6) to celebrate the twelve days of Christmas, and to recognize the birth of Jesus.

Please, Please don't start playing Christmas music yet!  I absolutely LOVE you guys, but I would probably have to listen to CD's only for a while until a little closer to Thanksgiving.  I love Christmas and Christmas music but rushing it just takes away from it when Christmas finally comes!  Sorry Kelli, I must agree with Scott.  

I love Christmas time. I love bieng in our warm cozy house, when its very snowy and windy out. I love driking hot chocolate with my sisters and watching a holiday movie. And most of all I love playing those good ole Christmas tunes and singing along while baking cookies or a pumkin pie. I say crank up that holiday music, its never to early to early to start celebrating something that bring family and friends together.

I Personally love christmas music and i love christmas i know that we still have to go through thanksgiving but maybe give thanksgiving a little christmas tunes to it... me and my sister love christmas music but my mom says that she only likes it the same week of christmas.....
But i say bring on the christmas music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kelli, I agree with you.  CHRISTIAN, Christmas songs are the most meaningful, awesome and beautiful songs ever written.  I don't think it is too early to start playing them but many others do so I'm OK with waiting until after Thanksgiving.  However, I do think we are hearing some other songs (Toby Mac in particular) way to often and should try to expand the play list a little more.  

It is way to early for Christmas music. People overdue Christmas and it had been to comercialized.  Stores have stuff out in september.  By the time Christmas gets here it had lost all of its true meaning.  It has gotten to the point that I almost hate Christmas because of all the people who push Christmas.  Stop Now.  Bring back the true meaning.

It is NEVER too late for Christmas music!

If my husband had his way, the tree would be up already.  This time last year, it was!  The guys that work for him cringe when a local secular station plays Christmas music all the time 'cause that's all he will listen to from Thanksgiving to Christmas day.  He absolutely loves this time of year.  AND he loves to go shopping on Black Friday.  I must say that I am truly blessed to have a husband that loves to Christmas shop, listen to the Christmas music and give of himself.  I came home Tuesday with a camo Santa hat and he asked if we were going to put up the tree!!!  My friend had to go and get us 2 more hats, one for him and one for our 13 yr old son.  Hopefully, I'll be able to hold him off for a couple of weeks with the tree and decorations.  

Yes.  It is too early.  It is not as much fun anymore and by December 1, I am sick of it.  Christmas Music like Christmas was created for a special time of the year.  Hearing it so many months early takes the specialness out of it.

Too early?  I didn't know that celebrating the birth of Christ was ever out of season.

It is never too early. I could listen to Amy Grant's Breathe of Heaven in July and love it!
