Thankful for ___? Day 1

I am thankful for K-love radio always being there, through hard times and goodtimes and all the radio personalitys, even on my worst days, you guys make me smile...  Thank you for being there.

On November 16th, my tiny 5 year old grandson had open heart surgery. So many prayers went up for him and the team of surgeons, that we could very well have walked on them all the way to the throne of Creator God. We made the trip on our knees, and Bas has made it! What I am most thankful for is that our Gracous Creator chooses the weak ( our little Bas) to lead the strong ( the rest of us). Thank you Crator Father for all you are ! Amen

I recently moved to Phoenix, AZ from Austin, TX for a job. I moved away from my family, friends and my church. My first day in Arizona, as I drove to work I was brought to tears when I heard k-love on the radio. Although I left my home behind in Texas and was struggling with the change, I had K-Love to make me feel at home in Arizona. I'm thankful for K-Love and all that make this amazing ministry happen.

God repaired my family and brought my husband home. He gave his heart to God and is so committed to Him and to us. It has been two years now and I am grateful every day! I was on your prayer list and I want to thank you for your prayers!

You were asking for ways we made money as children...My dad was an evangelist when I was a toddler.  We were preaching a revival at a church where they were doing major remodeling.  Some how I managed to get out of my mom's sight.  She finally found me coming out of the church with all kinds of coins in my hand.  She asked where I got it and I told her the men in the church gave it to me.  She went inside to find out what happened and found the carpenters laughing...it seems at the ripe old age of 2, I had gone in a taken an offering!!!!!!!!!!!!  I learned early....

I'm thankful that after living a extremely sinful life these last couple of years that God has welcomed me back with open arms and now I'm feeling more grateful than ever.

thankful for K-love playing in my car (even when the reception is poor), thankful for all my favorite artists/bands, thankful for lip balm (I was pulling out of walmart and heard scott & kelli talking about lip balm and I alsmost laughed because I had just bought a pack of soda flavored lip balms--I can sooooo relate to kelli!), thankful to be going to college next fall, thankful to know my calling, thankful for salvation, thankful for everyone at my church, thankful for my family, the list goes on and on and on and on and on.

Please share these comments annonymously from me:  My wife and children have distributing (started them last night again) boxes at christmas.  The box is simple (this year three of them)  and inside is an instruction sheet and cold hard cash!!!  the instructions tell you to take some if you need it, and ADD some cash if you don't, and then pass it along.  IF you are the last one to have it on December 24th, return it to our favorite church, we're it will get picked up, but give whatever cash is left in the box to our local food pantry.  We also ask that people put a tally mark on the instructions.  It generally gets around to about thirty people.  One last year has 65 tallys!!  I still wonder where our boxes have been.

I'm thankful for friends who will give you food from their cub boards. Saving you a trip to the grocery store with two young kiddos!

I am thankful for the amazing opportunity I got to go to Peru and meet the little girl I sponsor through Compassion International. I am also thankful for the amazing people I met on that trip. It was an amazing experience!

I am thankful for a loving family.  My husband is the best!  He's very thoughtful, considerate, and amazingly strong when it comes to trial and tribulations.  God has given him so many gifts and I am VERY blessed and thankful that God gave him to me.  We will have our 7th anniversary this January, and I can honestly say these past 7 years have been the best years of my life.  We married late; I was already 32 years old with a 7 year old daughter.  He adopted her one year after our marriage, and God has truly blessed their relationship too.  Now we are raising an outstanding, beautiful teenager who loves the Lord.  I am eternally thankful for these two wonderfully & fearfully made people in my life.  Thank-you Jesus!

I am thank full for K-Love , and my family and cousins , because I love them very much and K-love because that time I heard that K- love said God loves you and that time I felt in love with K-love . Thanks Scott & Kelli . & Just as I was listening to K-love there was a woman that said I am thanks full for lip bomb ? Haha .

This year I am thankful for wonderful student teaching placements that God has blessed me with. I have been blessed with cooperating teachers that have supported me,parents who share kind words, and students who put me in situations I never dreamed I would face as a teacher. Through the past months God has continued to bless and guide me as I prepare to be a teacher! It is a joy to share His love with my students every day and I look forward to continuing this in my own classroom after graduation this December!  

We are thankful for a safe place to live and the great people of God who have provided for my boys and I.

Im Thankful for just being able to say Im thankful

I am so very thankful for my hilarious, compassionate, and loving family. My Mommy cares for all of us kids all day every day. My Daddy works hard every day to provide more then enough for our family and some how still spends every bit of his spare time with us. My adorable little sister is honestly the best sister I could ever ask for. She may have a lot to learn, but I know that when she grows up my parents will teach her to love the Lord. My older brother.... Oh my older brother, I don't know where to begin. He had been an amazing role model for me and many other young followers of Jesus in our church and school. Right now he is in West Point, New York for school and that is far away for a boy from Texas. I miss him so much and I have been counting down the days until I get to see him. I am already praying for his protection everyday and he still has three more years until he is even in the Army. I thank God so much for his willingness and his passion for the cause he believes in. My family over all is an amazing blessing from God!!!!!!

I am thankful for the healing of my family.  My wife has had 2 miscarriages in the last two years and then God sent us a beautiful daughter.  It is like He put a big band-aid on our hearts.  I am also thankful for my new internet ministry.  God has used it to reach over 4000 readers in 22 countries in less than a year!  God is good!

I am thankful for my wonderfully amazing best friend Jennifer, for helping me realize how far I have gone with my fall from Christ. If it was not for her I would have probably fallen completely away from Christ and the Lord. Its been a week of absolute love towards the Lord through reading the Bible and A Young Man's Battle and praying as well.

Me? I'm thankful for my laptop, NANOWRIMO, my dog, my sister(Who also happens to be my best friend)my iPod, and K-love radio.

I am Thankfull for my Family!  God has brought us through a lot of trials, my husbands stroke, my heart attack and my Mom's heart attack.  We are stronger today because of our Wonderful Father in Heaven.  He has taken care of us and given us just what we needed when we needed it.  Thank You K-Love for reminding me to turn the stress in my life over to God.  You are Great, Keep Up the Good Work.

I am so thankful that God softened my dad's heart and brought him back to Christ! After years of addiction, my dad is going to a Christian based AA group, is willingly taking part in marriage counseling, and is becoming a part of a local church. God is so full of grace. He is so good!

I am thankful most of all to the Lord Jesus for rescuing me from a life of sin.  Yes, I was a sinner, even though I grew up in a Christian home.  It took me until I was in my 20's to realize that God loved me even when I was sinning, and that it wasn't just a lot of rules to follow, but that God really loved me as a person.  

I am thankful that my parents taught me the Bible.  I am so thankful now for my parents and siblings as well as cousins and extended family.  I am thankful for my church family who is so encouraging and helpful.  

That's more than one, but I can't stop with just one!

I'm thankful for my family, friends, my youth pastors, and everyone else I love.

I'm thankful becuz its been 4 years since my last surgery. I was born with Popylomas in my vocal chords. As a baby, I couldn't talk. I only whispered. When I cried you couldn't hear me, only see the tears. I started having surgeries when I was three. I've had twenty-five since. I'm very thankful that God has made me a living testimony. He showed His love and grace to me. He allowed me to be able to sing, even when the doctors said I would never be allowed to. He allowed me to live past my five years of life, even when doctors said I wouldn't. God is amazing and there is no one like Him. He gave me many loving people in my life to support me and always be there by my side. That's why I'm thankful.

I am so thankful to the Lord this year for allowing my new grandson, Abram, to live....he was born in Sept. with the cord wrapped around his little neck and already blue.  The doctor was able to cut it before he came all the way out and staggled himself.....God is SOOOOOOO good!

I'm thankful for K-Love, Jesus Christ, My family, My wonderful friend Mark and his family. I thankful for way to much but those are the ones I'm most thankful for

6 brothers and 2 sisters sounds crazy, huh? Well it wasn't as bad as you would think! Three of the boys were adopted from Ghana(blood brothers), and on Veterans Day they had to leave. They have been a part of our lives for THREE YEARS!!!!!!! But I am thankful that they will be happy and safe with their new parents. Also I have a great choir director(at church) and teachers and friends at school and one of my brothers is 5 months old, born 3 months early, and is still with us!  So even though I have 4 brothers and 2 sisters instead of 6 brothers and 2 sisters, I still know that God is good!

I am thankful for the wonderful family and great friends God has given me here in Texas, to make up for the family I miss so dearly, back in Nigeria.
I am also thankful for K-Love; reminding me each day of the boundless love of Christ.

I heard Matthew sing that Thanksgiving song on the radio and was telling my family about it when I remembered that Kelli said that we could find it online. I found it and now it's on repeat. We are all enjoying it. Thanks for making us laugh!!

I'm a Matthew West fan, but the teacher in me was screaming all the way through the song . . . Thanksgiving is not related to Columbus - the Plymouth colonists celebrated the first Thanksgiving over 100 years after Columbus!

I am thankful my kids NATURAL parents were so horrible.  This allowed us to adopt them from Colombia!  We adopted a natural brother and sister 3 years ago and another beautiful girl from the same orphanage two years ago yesterday!  We are blessed by them every day and our lives are so  full!

I love Matthew West's Thanksgiving song! I was dying laughing when I heard it the other day in the car, I went to show it to my class and couldn't find it anywhere! Then what do you know, I turn on the radio this evening and it played again, so I grabbed my phone to record it, and at the end found out you did put it on here. YAY!
