If you've ever thought your past limits your future, this guy will prove you wrong. I really enjoyed this conversation with pastor and author, Jud Wilhite today. He's the pastor of Central Christian Church in Las Vegas. It's one of the fastest-growing churches in America, with 9 campuses including Florida and Australia. Now, he's one of our featured pastors you hear in between the music on K-LOVE. When you hear his story of overcoming addiction, his encouragement will mean so much more.

I love what he said when I asked him why he's a pastor. He said, "It's because of his love of the messes of the world. We're all a mess, the difference is we are God's mess." 

As kids we are taught about our right to "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness" from one of the most powerful documents ever written, the Declaration of Independence. But, what does that look like?  

I don't know about you, but I have it all confused. I think if only I owned a home with a pool, I'd be happy. If my kitchen floors were perfectly cleaned with no crumbs, I'd be happy. If I felt confident about myself wearing a bathing suit, at the pool, I'd be happy.  

I don't think that's what the Pursuit of Happiness really means. Jesus instructed us:  “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today. -Matthew 6:34. 

Sometimes we get so wrapped up in the Pursuit of Happiness, we forget to pause, and just be happy.
