A Cure For Bullying?

This just might be a cure for bullying.

I heard this thing about how one tribe in Africa deals with this issue. I'm not sure if it’s true, but it's a great idea.

When someone does something hurtful and wrong, they take the person (the bully) to the center of town, and the entire tribe comes and surrounds him. For two days they’ll tell the man every good thing he has ever done.

The tribe believes that every human being comes into the world as GOOD, each of us desiring safety, love, peace, and happiness.

But sometimes in the pursuit of those things people make mistakes. The community sees misdeeds as a cry for help.

They band together for the sake of their fellow man to hold him up,  remind him who he really is.

Makes you think differently about that bully in your past, maybe even yourself.

Fake Life vs. Real Life

What if we were real?

I had a free afternoon yesterday, it was a miracle.  No ballet for my girls, no baseball for my son, it was divine.

So, I created a crazy activity of our own and we planted a potted vegetable garden.  We spent a glorious afternoon digging in the dirt, and I sent this perfect little picture to the Grandparents of my angelic children learning about gardening.

But, the real picture behind the scenes?  My 3 sunshines were spraying each  other with the hose, which they quickly turned on me.

Just in case you thought everything was always perfect in my world…think again.

Not Perfect. Just real.
