Your love never fails, never gives up, never runs out on me." -Kristian Stanfill "One Thing Remains"
I don’t know about you, but it’s comforting to know that’s the way God loves us - but hard to understand when you don’t feel that from others in your life.
I got an email from a single mom today that broke my heart. She is going through devastating breakup, as if the divorce wasn’t enough. Now the relationship with a man that she thought God had chose for her and her has ended. She asked "How did you have the strength to go on during the grieving of your divorce?"
Time, Therapy, and Jesus! I will never forget when I was crying one night on the phone with my Dad, and he said simply, "There is life again." And my therapist reminded me "in a year, your life will be completely different, better."
So, with heartbreak, I say go after the one that heals your heart, the only one I know that does that is not at the bottom of a quart of ice cream, it's Jesus. Make him your first love. Get on your knees and pray, "remind me your love never fails, never gives up, and never runs out on me. Please help me feel you overwhelm and satisfy my soul."
Then, focus on you and your son, and the purpose God has for your family.
"A servant of the King serves to fill her purpose. She serves to fulfill her passion. She serves to love others. She serves to win souls. ~ Jennifer Maggio/ The Life of a Single Mom
