"This one goes out to the world changer, Shining your light in the face of danger" -Brandon Health, Love Does.
That song was inspired by Bob Goff’s book, Love Does. It’s about how love isn’t a feeling, love is a decision, and action that you put into practice every day.
After all - that’s what Jesus said is the most important commandment, to love, to be an example of God's love to the world. I have this family motto based on that; "See needs and meet them, change the way the world sees God one life at a time."
Today, that opening lyric really got to me as we try to wrap our brain around how so much hate was displayed in what happened with the bombings at the finish line of the Boston Marathon.
But, at the same there was so much love. Are you wondering, where was God when this happened? I don't know for sure, but it sure looks to me like he was working through the staff at a restaurant that ran to the injured, the bystanders that tore apart the temporary fence to get to those that were hurt, the runners that crossed the finish line - and kept running to the hospital to give blood. That's love. God is love.
"These types of events can completely deflate you, or invigorate you to bring change to this world. It's up to you."
