The Right To Vote

Big day tomorrow, Election Day!

You may have seen stories about concerns of getting polling places up and running in time for those of us that were hit by Hurricane Sandy. It's interesting.  The struggle to make sure that everyone has a chance to vote on Tuesday. Think about this:  so may other countries people walk miles and go through even persecution to be able to cast their vote.

This whole experience might make us all appreciate the freedom we will exercise tomorrow.

There Will Be A Day

You can probably remember a moment when you were a child and you fell down, skinned your knee, and stared to cry. Then your Dad kneels down, puts his thumb in that little crease under their eye, and wipes away your tears, and holds you and whispers in your ear, it’s going to be okay. Adults need that too. Especially on days like today.

When you think about the destruction left behind from Superstorm Sandy, the homes burned to the ground in Queens, the Jersey Shore just covered in debris, you can’t help but get tears in your eyes. There is comfort available to you.   That’s the promise we have in our relationship with God, our Father.  He will kneel down and wipe away your tears, if you let Him.

In the bible it describes what eternity is like with Him.

He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever." –Revelation 21:4.

If you’d like to know more about a relationship with a God like this, please call one of our pastors.  They can help.  They’ll even pray with you.  800-525-LOVE.
