Not For Sale

I'm always amazed at how much you do to make a difference.  One of the "difference makers" that you hear on K-LOVE is Natalie Grant.  She's a musician, a mother, and an advocate in the find to end modern slavery.

She was "inspired" to get involved after a trip abroad.

There was a development in that yesterday.  The President spoke at the United Nations calling for an end to modern slavery, and what he said reminded me that this isn’t just a problem in other countries.

He said,  “The bitter truth is that trafficking also goes on right here in the United States…We can’t ask other nations to do what we are not doing ourselves. Nations must speak with one voice — our people and our children are not for sale.”

There are many different ways you can help the cause.  This one young girl even started a lemonade stand and raised $50,000 for the cause!

Give Me Your Eyes

"Give me Your eyes for just one second

Give me Your eyes so I can see

Everything that I keep missing

Give me Your love for humanity

Give me Your arms for the broken hearted

The ones that are far beyond my reach?

Give me Your heart for the one's forgotten

Give me Your eyes so I can see"

- Brandon HeathGive Me Your Eyes” (iTunes|Amazon)

It’s a great song, that’s really a prayer from Brandon Heath, a plea asking God to help you make a difference.

But how?  You probably see the hurting, you hear about the needs, but you wonder where you will find the time and money to reach the broken hearted and forgotten.

Reminds me of the story in the bible:

"Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and curing all kinds of disease and every weakness and infirmity. When He saw the throngs, He was moved with pity and sympathy for them, because they were bewildered (harassed and distressed and dejected and helpless), like sheep without a shepherd.  Then He said to His disciples, The harvest is indeed plentiful, but the laborers are few.” -Matthew 9:35-38 (AMP)

If your heart goes out to the masses too, join us reaching the masses with positive encouraging radio that reaches millions!

If you're already a laborer with us and support K-LOVE to encourage the masses, THANK YOU!  If you'd like to labor along with us, this is a great time.  Your gift can make an even bigger impact.  With every $40/month EZ pledge, you can also provide a warm winter coat to a child in need.

That way, every day even in the midst of your busy schedule you will know you are encouraging the masses, and a child is warm at the bus stop.
