Give 'em Grace

It's pretty to look at, but so frustrating to deal with!

Thinking of families today that are affected by yet another snow storm, another day off of school, another day to have to take off of work because kids are home, and another round of cancelled flights.

I'm noticing lots of "complaints" on my friends Facebook pages and Twitter feeds today, and I totally get it!  My favorite comment was, "this is like the Christmas break that never ends!"

It's very difficult to not let our circumstances rule our emotions in a negative way. Don't worry this is not a blog to say "look on the bright side". This is a blog to encourage you to encourage others.

So often we encounter people in a bad mood.  They cut you off in traffic, they glare at you, they complain to the grocery store clerk, without any regard for anyone else.  I admit, I've been that person too.

Today, I encourage you to give "that person" grace. Because it's never about the traffic, or the wrong price on the quart of mint chocolate chip ice cream , it's about something deeper.

You never know what someone else is going through.

Our father in heaven gives us His grace so freely, let's remember to extend it to each other!

Be of Service

It's more than a day off.

There is a way you can make today's Martin Luther King Jr. holiday meaningful.

You can honor his legacy through service.  It doesn’t have to be a big grand act. You could simply look for ways to build people up, rather than tear them down.

You don't have to look far to find them.  Start with the people closest to you...

What will you do to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy today?
