I don’t know about you, but I don’t follow racing very much. I admit before Sunday, I didn’t know who Dan Wheldon was.
Dan is a husband to Susie, a father to two boys; Sebastion (2 years) and Oliver (6 months). Dan lost his life at his job this past weekend, doing what he loved - driving an Indy Car at a race in Las Vegas.
I can’t imagine what that must feel like for Susie. I find myself praying for her that she is able to somehow find comfort for her and her boys.
I don’t know if she has a relationship with God, but I am praying that she does. When your life is in a crisis, I think people do one of two things, run away from God, or run to God. I pray that she runs to Him. I am praying that she finds someone to help her and guide her to God.
Throughout my life of faith so far, I have learned that God never causes bad things to happen to us. They happen, because we live in a fallen world where people make mistakes and do bad things to us. God is there for us to comfort us and love us in spite of the bad things.
