Let Your Light Shine Award

Sometimes it takes a kick in the pants to change your life.  Maybe you can tell me about the moment in your life when you realized that you need a change.

That’s what happened to Jill Knapp.  She’s a 44 year old wife and mother of 3 from Idaho.  And she was facing a crisis.  Her lifestyle and her weight were out of control.  After getting married and having children her weight got up to 237 pounds.  She was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. She had to do something drastic.

Jill revamped the entire way she was used to eating, but she also needed a goal, something to motivate her to loose the weight.  She needed a stage.

In front of a big crowd, she proclaimed that she had Type 2 diabetes, lost 100 pounds by eating right and exercising.

The stage was the Mrs. Idaho pageant.

Anyone can loose the weight. Anyone can get in shape..  If your lifestyle is not where it should be you know down deep inside so do it now so you can be around for your family.

Trully inspiring and motivating.  Thanks for sharing.  I think this hits home for many of us moms, especially those that forget about who we  really are and spend our lives focused on everything else. Thanks,

Amanda,

On Andy Rooney, I heard that he said that he was a confirmed agnostic or atheist.  That makes his being able to exactly what he wanted to do professionally very cheap compared to the vast expense of an eternity without Jesus.  Truly, in our culture, gaining the whole (mammon) world, but losing his soul, if these comments are accurate.  I appreciate your witness.
