When you're not afraid to just fess up to the mistakes and tell others how you came back from them, you make a difference in people's lives. Just be real.
Reading a book about that right now from Matthew Barnett from the LA Dream Center. He says, "Getting back up again is not only good for you but for a world that desperately needs the comeback story within you."
There's a young woman that's doing that today, telling her story on how she is getting back up. She's literally starting to right her comeback story.
It looked like she had it all together at a young age. Comes from a famous family and at 16 she was the star of her own tv show, and then found out she was pregnant. She obviously faced a lot of criticism. She retreated. Left Hollywood and went back home to regroup and have her daughter.
She's now 20 years old and told a magazine,
“I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night,” she explains. “I did feel responsible for the young girls and the mothers who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn’t trying to glamorize teen pregnancy. I hated when [the tabloids] said that. Everybody is dealt a hand of cards. It was my choice to play them the way I played them. But the hateful comments hurt.”
“That’s been the coolest thing — realizing that it’s okay to just be myself and really tell my story,” she tells the magazine. “I expect the scrutiny. The last time anyone heard anything of me, I was 16 and pregnant. All I can do is be my best — there will always be people who will never like me. These days, the only thing I'm afraid of is not being a good mom,"
Now she's 20, her daughter is 3, and she's back, trying to get her music career going. She has some help from her famous sister, Brittany Spears. Praying that Jamie Lynn Spears is able to make a difference with her Comeback Story.
