Happy Leap Day!

You beg for it most days, saying “I just need more hours in my day.”

Today you got it, your wish is granted.  A whole extra 24 hours for the year with Leap Day!

what are you going to do with it?  I saw where one Christian organization had this idea to "give a day back" and encourage people to use this day as a day of service.   That’s a great idea. Wish I would have seen that before today.

Then I read this verse from the bible and it reminded me really how easy it is to do something for someone else during your day.

"You have been called to live in freedom.  Don't use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature, but serve one another in love."  -Gal. 5:13

So, I’m going to use my freedom today…to do something nice for someone else, not sure what that is yet…

What will you do with your extra 24 hours?

For me, first I have to take all 3 of my kids to the dentist...oh yeah...this is no task for mere mortals.  Then off to do something nice for someone else.

Share your leap day with me here, on Facebook or on Twitter.

I feel for you Amanda!  Hope all went well yesterday with the kids at the dentist.  Not a task for the weak of heart!  I remember those days.

Hi Amanda.  I wish I had saw your post yesterday of setting aside Feb 29 as an extra 24 hours in doing some sort of service in the name of the Lord.  But it's not too late and I can use today!
