Picture Perfect

You know how you have one of those friends.  No matter how many miles apart you live, or how many years it’s been since you’ve seen each other, when you do you pick up right where you left off.

I am so thankful for one of those friends today.  My friend, Chante, came to visit this weekend.

We were talking about, in the course of our decade of friendship, how life has changed.  We’ve been through single-hood, having kids, moves across the country, and divorce.  She’s been like a rock through all the changes.

When I started to complain a bit about how my family dynamic doesn’t feel picture perfect anymore.

She said, “A picture perfect life is attainable, just the contents of everyone’s picture is different.”

Tell me about your lifelong friend…

Thank you for playing "Cry out to Jesus." It was perfect. over the weekend I lost my grand- uncle to cancer. I got the news first and called my grandmother back home to tell her. The problem is that at the moment that I told her that she had lost her brother, she was on her way to the funeral of her aunt who had passed a week earlier. Her response was that he had passed and she did not get to see him, for she had her bags packed to go see him after the funeral. My heart goes out to her.

So wonderful to hear a glimpse of your wonderful friendship!  Each person's picture is different and even those that seem like they are "perfect" aren't necessarily that way.  I believe that when we strive to walk in God's will, the picture is perfect no matter how it may look.  Each person's story is unique and just as wonderful as someone else's.

I'm so happy you have a friend like Chante.  We all need a friend like that in our lives!

Have a wonderful and blessed day!
