Refuge from Isaac

If you’ve ever been through an extreme weather situation; wildfire, snow storm, earthquake, than you know what it feels like to all of a sudden have life put on hold.  That’s what’s going on for those of us in the path of Hurricane Issac today.

This thing is slow moving, so it’s dumping a lot of rain over the next 24 hours on the Gulf coast causing lots of flooding and power outages now.

K-LOVE’s own Chip Bailey is there.  He’s based out of Baton Rouge, and he says it’s giving him perspspecitve on how busy our lives can become on a normal day, now that he’s forced to slow down and wait out the storm.

Chip says it's eerie.  Every school, fast food restaurant, grocery store, and even the big discount stores are closed

Here's what you can do while we're waiting to assess the damage from Isaac:

That’s the thing to do today. if you’re in the path of the storm, if you have your own storm your're facing seek refuge, physically and spiritually, pray.

Today’s K-LOVE Encouraging Word:  “Trust in God at all times…pour out your heart to him, for He is our refuge.” -Psalm 62:8

A Wal-Mart in Baton Rouge closed for Hurricane Isaac. Sign says "Closed until at least Thursday morning at 7 a.m."

The Baton Rouge Macy's store boarded up for the storm

People have stocked up leaving many empty shelves preparing for Hurricane Isaac

We're praying for all of you affected by the storm, and if you have a specific prayer request, let us know at
