Hoping that everything is lining up exactly the way you want it to be for your Thanksgiving celebration, but in case it’s not, I want to encourage you. You're not alone. I get it.
Heard this saying: It’s not the way it’s supposed to be, but it’s the way it is, so make the best out of it. I’m divorced and a single parent, my kids are with their Dad for Thanksgiving. It’s a good thing, but it leaves me discovering what my new normal is. This year, I think I figured it out.
I may not be with celebrating with my biological family around my big farm table in my kitchen for Thanksgiving, but God has given me some amazing friends, who have adopted me into their family during this time. That is what I'm most thankful for this year.
Interesting, that’s what God says He does for all of us.
"God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure." Ephesians 1:5
Who are you thankful for this year and why?
