What Really Matters
Looking at life through a different lens today.
After the shooting in Connecticut on Friday, I did what probably a lot of parents did and hugged their kids extra long and extra hard.
I began taking stock this weekend of the things that really matter in my life.
I don’t know about you, but suddenly it didn’t matter that my Christmas shopping wasn’t done yet. It didn’t matter that my laundry needed to be folded. It didn’t matter that my kitchen was a mess.
What really mattered is last night when my son fell asleep on my shoulder while watching “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” I didn’t move. I left the dishes in the sink and held my son.
