"When the waves are taking you under
Hold on just a little bit longer
He knows that this is gonna make you stronger, stronger."
The words that Mandisa sang on Good Morning America today couldn’t be
more fitting for the return of Robin Roberts. It was five months to
the day since she underwent a bone marrow transplant to treat a rare
blood disorder.
In case you missed it, she opened the show today by saying this:
"I have been waiting 174 days to say this: 'Good Morning America!'"
What a comeback story. What a woman. What an example for all of us
on how to get back up when you’ve been knocked down.
She said, "I keep pinching myself and I realize that this is real.
This is really happening. Faith, family and friends have brought me to
this moment and I am so full of gratitude."
I don't know about you, but this makes me realize I need to be more
thankful for my health, and the job I get to go to everyday.
Compared to her fight, I have nothing to complain about. Only Gratitude.
