If you feel like you are stuck, here’s a gentle little nudge.
I get while you’re stuck, maybe even numb, you're wishing right now you were curled up in a bawl in bed hiding from your circumstances. I don’t know about you, but avoiding issues has never solved them for me - neither has blaming God for them.
I admit to you there are days as a single parent, with my kids gone for their summer visitation with their Dad, that I want to hibernate until they come back. But, I can’t. I cry out to God to hold my hand. Some days I need Jesus to swoop in, pick me up, and carry me through it. Today is "carry me" day, and I am so thankful that He always says yes to that prayer.
God promises us that he doesn’t cause our problems to teach us a lesson. He doesn’t put us in the so-called “valley of the shadow of death”, nor does he leave us in it to wallow. His promise is that he will carry us THROUGH it!
"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me." Psalm 23:4
If you’re feeling stuck, numb, or like hibernating. Here’s a little nudge to get up, take a baby step forward, and pray this:
Pick me up, Jesus, I am yours. –Amen.
