You might look at your life as more of a chore, than an opportunity.
There's a man that’s getting a fresh perspective this week on his opportunities. You’ve probably heard of him, because he wears pinstripes. Alex Rodriguez, plays for the New York Yankees, and it's no secret he's in some trouble – he's not the only one.
He’s one of 13 players that was suspended yesterday for alleged links to banned performance enhancing drugs. He’s still playing, they are appealing the decision. But, yesterday he just came back from an injury, and had a new perspective. What he said to reporters, we can all learn from.
"I am thrilled and humbled to have the opportunity to put on this uniform again and to play Major League Baseball again," he said. "I feel like I am 18 years old back in Fenway Park in 1994, when I went to face the Red Sox for the first time. It's been 20 years. It nice to have the opportunity to play baseball."
Interesting, to be able to look at the life that you’ve become accustomed to as an opportunity, not a chore or a job. Hopefully, it won't take the threat of losing it for you to be able to appreciate that now.
