You might thing that multi-tasking is a good thing, but it could be hurting your relationships.

Last night, I was multi-tasking.  I was sitting on my couch working on my laptop, planning this show and writing a blog. Meanwhile, my daughter, Emily (7), was sitting next to me watching a show.

I thought, we were spending quality time together, until she touched my chin, moved my face away from my computer screen and said, “Are you done with that yet? I want to be all yours.”

I apologized and shut down my laptop and cuddled with her on the couch until she fell asleep. I don’t want my busyness to get in the way of my relationships with my family, or my relationship with God.

I wonder, if God feels the same way.  Asking me, Are you done with worrying about that yet?  I want to be all yours?

His word says “You must worship no other gods, for the LORD, whose very name is Jealous, is a God who is jealous about his relationship with you.” –Exodus 34:14 NLT

Lord, please remove every unnecessary distraction in my mind that takes me away from my relationships and from You. I am all Yours.
