Believe in Change

I wish you could see me now

I wish I could show you how

I'm not who I was

-Brandon Heath // I'm Not Who I Was.

It's hard to prove to the people in your past that you’ve changed.

Reality tv star, Kate Gosselin from John and Kate Plus 8 is talking about that. Unfortunately, she became a cautionary tale about how reality TV can negatively affect the family.

She’s featured in the latest People Magazine. She said, "I made so many mistakes, of course. It feels like a whole other lifetime ago… I'm not the same person I was...I don't even recognize her."

If there’s someone in your life that’s trying to prove that to you that they've changed, maybe it's time to believe them.
"Even if that person wrongs you seven times a day and each time turns again and asks forgiveness, you must forgive." -Luke 17:4 (NLT)

Change isn't always a good thing, especially if it involves drifting away from your relationship with Jesus to embrace what the world offers. I pray daily for my prodigal spouse, and I know God has a purpose  for the pain. I put all my trust in Him who gives me rest.
