If you’re a parent, you might have felt some fear while sending your kids off to school today in light of the thwarted school shooting in Georgia. I know I did.
Here's what happened: Yesterday, a young man was able to get into an elementary school in an Atlanta suburb with an assault rifle, and held two staff members captive. Officers stormed the campus, shots were fired, and it's a miracle no one was injured. The children are physically okay, but I imagine that mentally the families at that school are shaken. Could we all do something together today? Before you eat your lunch today could you say a prayer for a school year without violence? I believe it is possible.
