Prayer for Joy

Father, thank you for giving us joy!  Oh help us to experience it all day long.  Let us face the day and choose to focus on whatever brings a smile to our face, and ignore the other stuff.  We want a good life Lord, help us to choose it!

For You say, "This is a sacred day before our Lord. Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength" -(Nehemiah 8:10 )

What a beautiful way You work.  Just like lifting weights makes us physically stronger; each person, thing, or event that we choose to smile at today Lord, makes us mentally and spiritually stronger.  -In Jesus name, Amen

I choose to smile at my coffee maker this morning... ready to energize me for the day!  :-)

I choose to smile at the pile of laundry because it reminds me of the blessing of my children.

I choose to smile at the pile of dishes in my sink because it means I have family to cook for.

I choose to smile at the people that God has put in my path today, after all they are his children that just want a good life too...

What will you choose to smile at today?

I choose to smile for the Joy of our Lord Jesus. He brings me a smile fir the love He gives us. Psalm 33:1 Sing joyfully to the LORD, you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to praise him. I choose to smile at the daily challenges I face. This helps me to grow in maturity of my faith to know He has our back in all things. Blessings.

Smile, huh?  Okay I can smile at your beautiful post/prayer. Today, I got out of bed and took my medicine.  I keep wanting to lay back down and sort of sleep my life away, but I keep thinking that wouldn't be what God wants me to be doing. So, I'm up (again) and smiling a little. I'm going to try to do some Bible study.  And I'll try to smile, even if only my computer can see it.
