30 Days of Thankful Prayers: Day 20

Father, thank you for the perspective that comes after the struggle.

Sometimes I feel like that lowly little caterpillar with no clue about what her future holds.  She goes to hide inside a cocoon.  When she finally feels the need to start struggling to squirm her way out, she realizes she's changed into a butterfly, and can fly!

"In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead" (1 Peter 1:3b)

Oh Lord, help us to not quit, to keep struggling so we can keep flying.  -In Jesus' name, Amen

God bless you! My husband and I listen to you everyday. You have really helped me to stay positive in such trying times. We moved here at the end of August from Michigan and we made it here on a prayer. We had enough money at the time to rent a truck and fill it up! We brought our 5 kids and here we are! We found a fantastic church here in Strasburg and I heard you and a caller talking about Thanksgiving dinner. We are having a huge Thanksgiving dinner this Saturday November 23 from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Our church has rented out the elementry school to have the dinner. It's the only elementry in Strasburg. We are a small town but we have big hearts! We are hoping to reach many people. I thought that I'd invite you to the dinner. Nobody should eat alone. And why not eat and enjoy yourself with other Christians? I hope you have a great day!
