God didn't save us to be safe...

Stability...its something we are all looking for! I think especially in todays world, with todays economy. We crave to feel safe in every way: physicially, financially, emotionally. Somewhere in that pursit of feeling safe it can be easy to try to quiet Gods voice though–especially when it call us out of our comfort zones!! I can be scary, its not necessarily stable, and it could seem unsafe. Last week we had a chance to hear from a 10 year old and an 8 year old, Natashsa and Kendall from San Antonio Texas. They have had a heart for the kids of Africa and throughout the last 2 years they have raised enough funds to build a school with an attached chicken coop in Uganda. That is a lot of money and they are just getting started!! They are now raising funds to create a 'children's village' where orphans and widows can call home. Natasha says it better with her 10 years of life wisdom than some of us ever could...

God didn’t save us to be safe but to be dangerous! Think about what he did for us—like the nails in His hands, the crown of thorns—so if he did that for us why sit around on the couch all day and watch tv?! Why not give your life back to him and use it to help other people!!!”

NO ONE IS SAFE!

No one I meet is safe from being blessed, no matter what the state of their life is! Graham Cooke, recently encouraged us to get overwhelmed by the love of God. Some of us, even as Christians, wander thru life as if a prisoner in a cell - struggling with the sins of the past, thinking God couldn't love someone like me. But God has wiped away our sins, like an eraser on a chalkboard. He remembers them no more. We, you and I, have the key to unlock their cell. They could escape from their incarceration and discover the plans a loving God has for them! My business, your business, is revealing the heart of God, using words if we have to,  And it all starts with a simple "God bless you" blessing. No one is safe from being blessed!
