I have problems with clogged ears all of the time and have for years now. I used to buy drops from the store but found that a little bit of Hydrogen Peroxid is just as effective. Use a dropper and keep your head to the side for at least 10 minutes. One-two times a day and it will clear up in a few days.

I am partly deaf in one ear. I use a hot (warmed by hot water) q-tip and dab it gently in my ear. The warm water is soothing like a hot bath is when you sick

I have had problems with clogged years for a couple of years now. I used to buy drops at the store but have found that a little bit of Hydrogen Peroxide works just as well. Use a dropper to place several drops in your ear one-two times each day until it clears. You will want to keep your head to the side to keep the liquid in your ear for around 10 minutes each time. Should only take a few days to clear up.

I went for 3 months one time with ear clogged and this is what finally seemed to work for me. Lay with your ear on a heating pad or something you can heat up, lay on it for awhile (the heat should loosen all the junk in the ear) and then, this is the odd part, grab your ear lobbe as close to the cartlage and head as you can, pull down and out and then kind of move it around in a circle motion. This should make room for all the junk you just loosened to release and drain. I did this 3 or 4 times and it wasn't a sudden release. But within the next few days I could hear again!!!!

Scott, my nurse practioner recommended this combination, and it worked wonders for me: take a 12-hour sudafed & 1 mucinex...the fluid in your ear will drain within 2 hrs. Take care & feel better in the name of Jesus!

I get clogged sinus's several times a yr, therefore my ears clog up too. The best relief i have found is a NetiPot. You can find them at Walmart. It's a little blue tea pot looking thing w/ a special saline solotion. You pour the solution thru one nostral and it will exit the other nostral. Depending on how bad the congestion is, it may take a cpl applications. It's strange at first, but many find it very soothing in the end. By clearing the sinus, the ear too should clear. ck YouTube for a video of how this works. Many in my family use the NetiPot and we love it. Good luck , hope it helps.

The only way I have found to get my ear unplugged is to to my primary doctor and have them do an
ear irrigation (ear Wash) it ALWAYS works. Have tried all the drops, pills, and nothing works but a trip to the Dr. Last time the Doctor could not even see my ear drum the wax was packed in tight. After the Ear Wash - RELIEF, I could hear and felt much better ! Good luck, i will keep
you in my prayers!

Try a little peroxide. It will sound bubbly but it will get all that build up out. My Mom used to do this to me as a kid/teenager. Or you can try Ear Candling. My husband and I did this to each other one night and my ear FELT WONDERFUL! I had been have an earache and it didn't hurt after the candling. Looks weird andreading the directions sound scary but IT WORKS!

Scott,Your symptoms are caused by fluid in the ear the best remedy for this is an antihistamine like Benadryl or Zyrtec it won't be an immediate fix but it will help.Good luck

I found it that if you put a hair dryer on low and blow it in your ear it will help a lot. Hope it will help you. And if you would tell me the name of the book you are reading that you were talking about this evening (on my way home I was listening) I would really like to know the name of it. Thanks and I hope you feel better soon.

Hi Scott, you probably have alot of inflammation and it sounds like you have allergies. You need to take Sudafed (pseudoephedrine HCL) and some type of antihistamine like Chlorpheniramine Maleate. You need to get the Sudafed from behind the counter at a pharmacy and Chlorpheniramine Maleate is found on the shelf. If possible, make a doctor's appointment and have the Dr. check your ear. Another thing that you should get is a prescription from your Dr. for Flonase spray, Flonase helps to get rid of the inflammation in your nasal passages which is common w/ allergies. It will also help your ear pressure/cloggyness. Also, drink some nice warm tea like chamomile and try to take it easy on your ears by not flying for a while if possible. This is what has helped me for many years w/ my ear pressure/cloggyness issues and I hope it also helps you.

Hi Scott,Our church and members try to use natural remedies and treatments as much as possible. The one thing I would recommend for your clogged ear is the natural treatment of what is called ear candling. Like most people, you will probably say you have never heard of this. However, you can usually find the "candles" at your local health food store and are quite effective and very simple to use. They may cost around $5.00 for a pair. Instructions are included and the employees at the health food store can answer any concerns you may have. This procedure is completely safe, painless and will bring you relief from ear pain and that clogged feeling and not being able to hear. I just used a candle for my friend and she was astonished with the comfort and the restoration of her hearing in that ear. It actually removed a tremendous amount of impacted ear wax that had completely clogged her ear. Please call me if you need more information. Use ear candles. This will help clear the sinus too.

Vicks vapor rub work great for a lot of things. If you put a little dap under your ear, where the eustation tube is (overnight) it will help to dry up that fluid. Same with a stuffy nose, or sinus pressure, if you put some vicks vapor rub in these spots it will feel better(I always do it overnight, I don't think I could stand to smell it all day).

DON'T USE EAR CANDLING!!! I am a speech and hearing science major, and that is one thing our Audiology professor warned us about again and again. It is not clinically proven to work, and if hot wax gets in your ear, you can permanently damage your eardrum! I hope you're ear feels better soon though! God Bless!
September 16. 2010 02:06
There is no hot wax involved. lol Please investigate further. It is a chimney effect, drawing the fluid or wax up and out of the outer ear canal.
