National Day of Prayer

Tomorrow, the first Thursday in the month of May, marks the annual National Day of Prayer. In towns and cities across the country, people will be gathering together, taking their praises and appeals to the Lord.
If you have not yet made plans to participate in a community time of prayer, you may find events near you by clicking here. Thousands of prayer events will take place, in front of city halls, in churches, and at places of business. Events are planned from pre-dawn, throughout the day, and into the evening.

Tomorrow, as you join with others to give thanks and lift requests to God, listen to the “concert” of prayer that is taking place in your midst. It is a divine orchestra and it is music to the ears of God.
No other activity is as powerful to change society than united prayer to Almighty God.
Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. Mark 11:23-25
