An incredible book by an incredible friend

I got this precious 'God kiss' in the mail today from one of my best friends!! Pretty sure you are going to love it as much as I do :) Sort of like a condensed fairytale!

God blesses us each with such different talents, so that we can bless others. Clearly one of my friends is creativity and boy did she bless me! How has a friend used their gift to bless you lately?

All I Want is You

Something heavy on my heart

The leader singer for Sanctus Real, Matt Hammit, and his wife Saras story about baby Bowen ---> http://bowensheart.com/2010/09/12/bowens-first-surgery/

There is an incredible song that Matt shared on here as well that really feels like a 'window' into he and Sarahs hearts right now--they may be just the words YOU need to hear today too

The part of your week you are most looking forward to....

is what??

Coming off a three day weekend can sort of leave ya feeling--blah! But my figuring is, if I look ahead at whats exciting in my week, it makes it easier to jump in head first! I think I'm probably most excited to start working out again AND eat froyo (aka frozen yogurt!) at some point, and yes I did just say those right next to each other~haha~ What are YOU most looking forward to?

Not all cheese is the same...

Ricotta and cottage cheese=NOT the same cheese! If only I had known before thinking they were interchangeable for a recipe!!

Bear with me, I sound like Rachel Ray but I can't cook like her!  Her 30 minute meals--AMAZING but they take me more like 120 minutes

unless its got 5 ingredients (or less) and I follow the recipe word for word, I shouldn't  be allowed in a kitchen!! Tongue out

Excercising that trust muscle

During my run today on what has felt like a broken foot (its not really-it just hurts and I'm throwing a pity party for one!) I had this 'God inspired' moment....JUST like normal excercise can be such a pain when we are doing it (and lets face it, who likes to sweat?!! NOT this girl!)-excercising our trust muscle is just the same. When we are in the midst of the excercise-its not exactly fun but it makes us stronger afterwards!!!

Maybe you are going through something with your marriage, your search for a spouse, your work, your health--and you've been reminded that you are completely dependent on Him.There is no other choice but to trust Him.

Our trials are Gods chance to strengethen and stretch our trust muscle

Onward to the gym of life we go :)

Airport friendships

After another wonderful wedding filled weekend back home I was thinking about the new friendships I was blessed with.

I have this strange personal goal every time I fly, 3 new friends per flight (and let me tell ya-the days where I want to sleep during the flight,I have to make those friends starting all the way back in security-be nice to the security people by the way, I saw so many people be so rude to them. They are just doing their job and keeping us safe)

ANYWAYS, my friendships this trip ranged from commercial tomato sauce makers to a guy who would make for the worlds worst pictionary partner (he didn't seem to understand the cigarette with a big box around and an X through it meant "NO smoking"-nice guy, just terrible canidate for pictionary). You know what they had in common though? Incredible stories. Very unique-VERY interesting-but stories no less.

We all have a story--its called our life! It can be easy to get wrapped up in ourselves and the busyness of our own world and we forget to take time to get to know others stories. But sincerly showing an interest in other people and the life that makes their story one of a kind is something I aim to not take for granted! Sometimes people need someone to listen and its simple-its a free gift-just care!

So many stories, so many amazing people ---> its what makes life interesting!

Maybe this week is a good time to really take time to invest in listening to someonelses story....who knows, you may even become part of it!

Have a marvelous Monday :)

I'm a card-aholic

I can't help it! I love buying greeting cards!!! I go in to a store to buy 1, just ONE, and I always walk out with at least 5! I just love how certain cards fit certain people in my life perfectly and who doesn't love getting snail mail!? I have never seen someone be grumpy after getting a random gretting card!! My only problem after buying them for the perfect person for the perfect occasion is...not loosing it before I give it to 'em Tongue out  So I'll go ahead and admit it, I'm a card-aholic and (I think)  proud of it!

Do you have any items like this? It doesn't matter what store you are at, if they have this particular item, you are bound to buy at least one?
