When I got a forward from my mom today titled "the pencil sharpener" I sort of laughed and wondered if my mom was trying to tell me (in a not so subtle way) that she was going back to school!
I typically just delete forwards (sorry if you've forwarded me something--if you attach a personal note, I'll read it, otherwise it meets the delete button!) but I had to see what sort of pencils my mom was trying to tell me about. I am thankful that I did. This pretty much sums up the forward...
A PENCIL MAKER TOLD THE PENCIL 5 IMPORTANT LESSONS JUST BEFORE PUTTING IT IN THE BOX :
1.) EVERYTHING YOU DO WILL ALWAYS LEAVE A MARK.
2.) YOU CAN ALWAYS CORRECT THE MISTAKES YOU MAKE.
3.) WHAT IS IMPORTANT IS WHAT IS INSIDE OF YOU.
4.) IN LIFE , YOU WILL UNDERGO PAINFUL SHARPENINGS, BUT THEY WILL ONLY MAKE YOU BETTER.
5.) TO BE THE BEST PENCIL, YOU MUST ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE HELD AND GUIDED BY THE HAND THAT HOLDS YOU.
