What God is looking for...

When my family lived in Orlando, we worshiped at a church called Northland, with Pastor Joel Hunter.

Now that we live in California, we have a great church family we worship with each Sunday. But we are still able to be a part of live worship services on-line with Northland.

Tonight, while rocking my baby Jesse, I listened to Sean Cooper preach a message that gripped my heart.  After the sermon, the singers and musicians led us in worship and all I could do was cry and worship God, and rock my sweet baby.

Sean closed the service with this scripture from Micah 6:8, paraphrased from The Message Bible...

"But he's already made it plain how to live, what to do, what God is looking for in men and women.  It's quite simple: Do what is fair and just to your neighbor, be compassionate and loyal in your love, and don't take yourself too seriously— take God seriously."

I know about your coffee pot.  I work with Dee Fender, she is the lady that you spoke with, I think last Friday morning, and she told me that she was going to send it you.  She has been such a blessing to me here at work.  We share with each other the struggles and triumphs that God is bringing us through, and it's so great to have a Godly co-worker.  She has been through some tough times with her family in the past, but recently at a Womens Leadership Conference, she laid it all down, and God has opened her eyes to the freedom of forgiveness.  She is a great lady and she was so excited that she got to talk to you.

I also want to echo her centiment about the sacrafice you make for KLOVE.  I have a 2yr old and #2 will be here in a matter of weeks, I know how chaotic life can be.  So thank you for getting up early(staying up late), thank you for being willing to serve.  God is using you to change lives all over the world.  Keep it up!

Wow, that is so true. It is like we know that but sometimes when we see it or hear it from someone else, things come back into perspective.  It is so awesome how God uses so many different people to guide us down the path He wants us to go.  Thanks for being one of those guides!
