New anchor Amy Baumann's son Eli had his first day of preschool on Thursday!  We were laughing about how our boys like to squint when they "smile for the camera."  I found this great website where you can get some tips on how to take pictures of your kids that look cool and professional.  Check it out.  And then share some of the amazing pics of your kids (or the funny smile/squinty eye pics:) on our Facebook page.  (BTW, Amy wanted me to point out that she had bought him the CUTEST first-day-of-school outfit, but he insisted on dressing himself in a sweatshirt, shorts and flip-flops:)  Thanks for letting us share our lives with you.  Peace and k-love, Lisa

Lisa, I always enjoy when I get to catch the morning show on K-LOVE! Heard you talk about the website that had tips for moms taking pictures. My daughter is always taking snapshots of her son, so I've passed that site along to her. Thanks for the tip! I know I am biased, but my grandson is the most adorable 2-year-old in the world! No body has seen a squinty pic till you have seen my son lol. His squint smile is so extreme he makes his whole face look like its squinting, he is so cute. I would not change a thing. Sometimes the best pictures in the world are the ones you don't plan.

My wife and I took a picture of my son who is 18 before he went to school on his first day of community college this year.  This is a routine we have at the start of school every year.  We also pray with them before they leave the house on there way.

Kids squinting in photos reminds me of the cute ditty I recently received titled:  A Child's View of Thunderstorms.  
A mom was watching the weather concerned that her little girl would be walking home from school in a thunderstorm.  She headed out to the school to pick up the child and came upon her walking toward home and everytime lightening flashed she paused, looked up to the sky and smiled!  The mom followed her a bit and watched her and she kept doing it.  So the mom pulled over and asked her daughter what she was doing and she replied:  'God is taking my picture!  I'm smiling pretty for him!'
