The K-LOVE Morning Show is moving to Indianapolis!

Between now and early December, there is SO much going on in our lives.  I wanted to share some of it with you, so you can pray.  And because you're our friends.

We are very thankful for all God is doing in our lives.

So...here goes:)

The K-LOVE Morning Show is moving from California to Indiana!  Now in case that confuses you because you thought we lived right there in your town...

We are actually at the EMF main headquarters in Rocklin, California.

EMF (the Educational Media Foundation) is the parent ministry of K-LOVE and our sister station, Air 1. Both morning shows on K-LOVE and Air 1 originate from California for the entire nation.

So here's the deal...

In order to be heard on the east coast at 6am, we have to start at 3am Pacific time.  Since I joined the morning show in March, my family has had to do a lot of adjusting so I can get up very, very early. With a 1 & 2 year old, you can imagine how interesting life has been at our house:)

We are so thankful.  Because of the generous support of our listeners, God opened an amazing door for EMF to purchase a radio station in Indianapolis for K-LOVE -- 101.9 FM, complete with great studio facilities!  This now gives EMF two primary locations in America--California and Indiana.

Having some of our staff in Indiana will make it easier for us to be at more events all over the country.  We're really excited about the chance to be at more K-LOVE concerts and events.  Maybe we'll get to meet you and your family someday!  We would like that:)

You shouldn't hear a change at all.

But OUR life will get a little more normal and we'll get to spend more time with our families in the evenings; This is a giant blessing to us!  We're so thankful to work for a ministry that cares so much for its listeners AND its employees.

Being in Indiana will be great for my family, since it puts us much closer to my husband's family in Illinois (the grandparents are THRILLED), and we'll only be a day's drive from my family in Louisiana. It is the same blessing for Eric and Julie's extended family in Chicagoland.

So, so, so many demands and details come with a move! Combine that with the holidays, and you can guess how we are doing:) If you've ever moved, you know!! Thank you SO MUCH for your prayers during the transition. Between now and early December, we'll be packing, shipping, moving, and setting things up in our new homes and studios.

Leaving friends and our amazing churches in California is really tough, but we believe we are following God's leading.

And we believe God is getting ready to pour through EMF to reach more and more people in America! The world needs the good news that Jesus is alive, that God has a plan for their lives, and that there is more to life than just living and dying.  Christians need encouragement to stay strong and grow.

Thank you for your love, prayers and support for this mission.

Life is an adventure!
God rocks!
Pray for us!

in Christ,
Lisa

"You're here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We're going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don't think I'm going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I'm putting you on a light stand. Now that I've put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you'll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven." Matthew 5:14-16 The Message

I am sooooo excited to here that you are moving to the midwest.  I grew up in Indiana and can't say enough about it.  Yes, we have our fair share of hillbillies . . . but we make up for it in yummy corn!

I've had the priviledge of working for a Christian organization for many years and can tell you that Indiana is full of a great and honest love for the Lord.  Amazing places to worship and just a great community effort to lead a God centered life.

Welcome to Indiana and I'm SUPER excited to have the opportunity to see you guys without traveling to California!

Blessings and Prayers,

Chenon

As everyone else has said, welcome to Indiana!  It's a great state to live in, thought probably not as fast paced as Cali.  Smile  Get ready for some crazy weather though, It's not unusual in the fall for the days to be in the 70s and nights in the 30s!  And summers are very humid!

This is the best news!  I was born and raised in Indiana and moved to Florida 5 years ago - I found a radio station in Orlando where I heard you for the first time and was tickled because my maiden name was Williams.  I even wrote to you about it and was happy to hear back from you. I was sad to hear that you were moving to California because I enjoyed listening to you so much.  We moved back to Indiana 2 years ago.  I was trying to find a good Christian radio station online and then I found K-Love and have listened to it ever since.  How surprised was I when I heard your voice again!  And now to hear that you're coming to Indiana!  I think God wants me to listen to you wherever I go!! I thank God everyday for my family and church and starting just a few months ago for K Love. I was needing something to get my mind back in focus on God and at work trying to find music God turned the dial to KLove out of Dyersburg and that is all I listen to now.  I tell everyone to listen it truly lifts my spirits up everyday and it starts with a prayer and Klove with Lisa and Eric. Get well soon Eric. Love you guys keep up the good work in God's name.

Wow! What great news - moving to Indy. I would love to be a resource for you in learning about our great city. There are definitely plenty of reasons to be happy about moving here. You can live in the city, near suburbia or in one of our "small towns" and still be within a 40 minute commute to downtown. We have great township schools and private Christian schools as well.

Praise God for your faith and willingness to follow His will!
I know exactly how you feel.  My family and I left MN 10 years ago to move to AZ, talk about culture shock!  We also had a great church family in MN, had lived all our lives in MN, and had a beautiful home on 5 wooded acres.  Our friends thought we were crazy.  BUT, we gave our lives and will up to God.  "Something" was telling us to move to AZ.  We prayed and prayed and prayed and let God totally talke over.  As we made our plans to move, everything somehow fell into place.  Our house sold without even listing it, my husband found a job in AZ, we were able to find a nice place to live; it all fell into place because we put our trust in the Lord!

You are putting your trust in the Lord and His will for you and your family.  He will bless you and your family because you are listening to Him not your own fears and reservations.

God bless you and your families as you go to the place He wants you!  Thank you for serving Him and for being such a blessing to myself and so many listeners to KLove!

Hello from Indianapolis!

While we are so excited that you are moving to Indy, we understand how hard it is to move around the holidays. We will be praying for you as you move and settle in!

If you are looking for a church, we attend a wonderful church, College Park Church, on the northside of Indy at 96th and Towne Road. (www.yourchurch.com) You talked about our church a year ago when our church's "Cardboard Testimonies" video was featured on Natalie Grant's blog. If you visit, email us . . . we would love to meet you in person.

We love listening to you in the mornings. You are always so cheerful and encouraging! Thank you for serving KLove!

Welcome to Indianapolis.  I was so excited when I heard KLOVE was moving to Indianapolis.  We moved here, from Southern California, about 11 years ago.  My wife’s family lives in Roseville, so we are familiar with what your family is in for.  We found that, once you get used to the winter and the few humid weeks in the summer, it is just fine.  It is a much better place to raise our children than Los Angeles was.

I hope you learn to love it in Indy, like we have.  I pray the Lord blesses you with a safe move.

I have always lived in Indiana so I know if I ever had to move then it would be hard to leave my church family (even though we both know God is good and in control).  We live about 20 min. south of Indy and have a smaller, but amazing church that desires to serve our great God.  I know it is hard to find a new church home (we had to do this about 5 years ago ourselves).  If you would like to visit or check it out online it is Grace Bible Church (grbible.org)
My 5 children LOVE to sing along with so many of the songs and are so excited that you will be in the Hoosier state.  They love the morning show the most-YEAH-me too.

I just wanted to share with you how KLOVE was a part of a big move for my family. 6 years ago God decided to move us to Lexington KY from Phoenix AZ. Can you see the problem here??? Sunny AZ to Lexington KY??? I really wanted to make sure that God REALLY meant this. So I asked him to clarify for me. First, I was praying to him in the early hours of the morning and I kept asking him Yes we go No we stay. A voice said to me, out loud, yes. I looked up, was shocked thinking one of the children had come into the room. But it was 4 am and they were all sleeping. Clearly God had made a decision in my life. BUT if that wasn't enough, I was driving down Chandler boulevard listening to KLOVE and thinking to myself, Gosh I don't even know if they HAVE KLOVE in Lexington KY. When precisely at that momement a caller from Lexington KY called in. The signs were clear. God Moved me and my family and used KLOVE in the process.

Welcome to Indiana.  I pray that God gives you a smooth transition and blesses you with a wonderful church family and many new friends.  I moved to Indiana 17 years ago and remember how hard it was to move away from home.

I live in southeast Indiana (70 miles south of Indy and 50 miles west of Cincinnati) and listen to KLOVE during my long commute to work every day.  What a blessing it is to have postive and encouraging music and news every day.  Thank you.

Lisa and Eric,
So happy you are coming to our part of the country.  I have been very concerned about Lisa because I didn't think she had her normal perk.  Obviously you both have had much on your plate and I know God will bless you both as you follow Him in obedience.  I would love to meet you in person as I have listened to you while at my daughters in Florida a few years ago and faithfully @ Klove ever since you joined them.
You give me such a boost every day.  God bless you both and Welcome to Indianapolis.

Welcome to Indiana!  I live in Southwestern Indiana and listen to K-love online.  But when I travel in and around the Indianapolis area - which is frequently I always listen in the car!  So excited about the new station 101.9 - it reaches out farther than the others.  I pray God's blessings on your physical move and all that goes with that for your families.  I also pray for the emotional, mental, financial and spiritual aspects of a cross-country move!  I pray you LOVE Indiana as much as we love K-love!  Blessings!

We're thrilled to have you moving to Indy! We also relocated to Indy along with a group of co-workers and friends and found that having that support system really helped in the adjustment. Myself and my husband moved away from all of our family in Virginia 3 years ago when I was 3 months pregnant (Teddy is now 19 months). We have found Indianapolis to be such a blessing - we learned that God doesn't add blessings, He MULTIPLIES them. We are now able to live a more financially stable life, grow stronger together as a family, and create new friendships. Our home church is Lakeview in Indianapolis and they have been amazing. I am sure you'll find Indianapolis just as welcoming as we have found it. I hope to get to meet you all someday! God Bless.

Hello Lisa and Eric!

What a blessing KLove is to our Indy area!  I have listened for years at 90.5 and when we moved to Noblesville (just northeast of Indy) two years ago, I was saddened that I couldn't get the signal hardly at all.  Then earlier this Fall, I received word in the mail that K Love added a new station, 101.9 and it has been so great to get that station now in Noblesville!!  Yay!  Welcome to the Hoosier state. Please consider White River Christian Church for a great place for worshipping Jesus!  wwrc.org.  Yay, God is so good!  I am so excited of this news.  I pray your travels are safe!  God Bless!

Lisa and Eric - Welcome to Indy!  We have been KLOVE listeners for the past few years and were thrilled when the station switched to 101.9 because the reception is so much better!  We hope you will enjoy Indianapolis.  We live in a northern suburb.  It is a great little city with some of the big city perks, but without the big city price tags and traffic hassles!  We will pray for you and your families as you make the transition!

So excited that you are moving to our Hoosier state.  I love your morning show.  I listen to you on my way home from work everyday and KLOVE is always on in my car.  I discovered KLOVE about six years ago when our christian station 98.3 was no longer on the air and have been listening ever since.  My  five year old son loves to sing to all the songs.  We live in Avon just 15 minutes from the new 101.9 station.  When you are looking for a new church home, you are welcome to visit ours.  My husband and I go to Crossroads Church in Avon.  Have a safe and unstressful move.
God Bless

Lisa - a belated welcome to Indianapolis to you and your dear family!  I'm so glad you're here.  As you said earlier this morning, though, change is tough.  My children and I moved here 7 years ago.  I was like a deer in headlights for the first year - what prompted the move was a God moment I refer to as my "baseball bat" experience.  I won't go into it now because I should be working, but perhaps when I have more time I'll tell you about it later.  Again - a sincere welcome.

So happy to hear you're going to be here in Indiana!
I have just recently started listening to Christian music, (within the last few months) and K-Love is the station that introduced me to this wonderful, wonderful blessing.
From the other messages I've read, it appears that you will have no problem finding a wonderful group to worship with....But if you are ever passing thru Plainfield. Please stop by and visit Plainfield Christian Church. They are just a great group of non-perfect people. Who would just love to have you guys stop in for a visit. No pressure. I'm just sure that they'd love to have a chance to say "Thanks for all you guys do".

Hey, Lisa!

So excited about hearing y'all are moving to Indy.  You may or may not remember me from Orlando, but I remember you from the radio, from your visits to CCC Headquarters and from our shared experiences ( & dr. J- btw haven't heard about how baby 2 came into your life but super happy for you!)  We moved to Indy a year and a half ago to work with another part of Crusade called Keynote, our music and creative communications ministry, and have enjoyed having a familiar voice on the radio (and I can also tell you we LOVE it here) and was so excited about having you local again.  Hope this transition goes smoothly and hope you will love it here too (and maybe even say hi face to face again sometime Smile  )  God bless!

Hey GUYS!

I was listening this morning to the GENIUS way that we get up in the morning and go about our day without warming up the car, defrosting the windows.  I too am among those who peek through window cracks and just KNOW that something is going to warm enough that I'll be able to see.

Eric, BROTHER...  I had the best laugh of all when you talked about having to roll down the window...been there done that....have never had the window not come back up!  Smile  It made me think of your car checkup when you only thought that you needed a radio antenae perhaps!  I pray a new car for you dear brother!!!  In the meantime, PLEASE keep the stories coming.  LOVE THEM!

Lisa, as always gotta say love your MAMA!  But your John David stories just warm my heart in a way that only little kid stories can!  Christmas is simply, hands-down the best little kid story of all.  I am so thankful that as Christians Christmas is always our season!!!  I am always ready for Christmas and I never forget why!!!

I used to teach- left due to medical issues but Christmas stings sometimes because it makes me think of children.  It is like "warm maple syrup kisses" to get to hear the "kid stories".

Mommy advice to the both of you--memories can be captured in a way that pictures never could!  Think of how long you will tell the story of the birthday that you infected your daughter's entire class with strep throat, Eric.  And Lisa, John David will be telling his grandchildren about how he used to hug the Christmas tree! Smile

God bless you both, your families, and dog that flew solo.  I love you guys, my extended family!
