We can give Christmas away by being available with the love of God, for other people.  Self-sacrifice (being a mirror image of God's love for people in need.)

I am one of those people that hates to "lose" Thanksgiving by bringing Christmas in so fast and I tend to groan when I hear Christmas music before Thanksgiving has even arrived.  HOWEVER!!!!!! That song is PERFECT for what I've been talking to my kids about regarding how we're going to "do Christmas" this year.  We are going to give our Christmas away by giving money to Water for Christmas to help provide fresh water to children in Africa.  We've also "adopted" a young girl from a girl's home here in Alabama and will be providing her with Christmas gifts this year.  My endeavor is teach my children that is truly more blessed to give than to receive!

Great song!!!!

We have a budget for each of our children's Christmas gifts.  This year we are asking our children to choose how much they would like to give to a family who is in great need.  When we look at this family, we realize that there is nothing that we "need".  We are so blessed!

we can give christmas away by reaching out to the elderly. Help them decorate their home bake for them and keep them company. Invite them to dinner at your home share your family with those who have lost family and friends.

Our church collects boxes for Operation Christmas Child each year.  We had our 3 year old son choose whether we were going to buy for a boy or girl.  He also used money that he earns by picking up his toys and helping around the house to buy a toy to include in the box.

We used this as an opportunity to help him learn how to give Christmas away.  He was very excited to go shopping for the items and to pack the box.

hey, just wanted to share how my family "gives Christmas away" for several years now we have picked a "hurting" family in our small town to "elf" we would buy a Nativity scene and place each piece in a Christmas sock, with a little note wishing them a Merry Christmas, and sign it from the elves...we would then sneak the sock onto the door of the family that we had picked...we would do this each day for about a week..ending with baby Jesus...we never did reveal who we were...but have heard how much this has meant to the families. this continues to be one of our most fun Christmas traditions...MERRY CHRISTMAS to all of you!

It was Great to hear Matthew West today. My sisters are doing that song for their Christmas program this year cause our church has really taken to giving this year. In just the kid Classes we were able to give 22 boxs for operation Christmas Child. It was really good to do something for others. And my family has already started Christmas music playing, and just yesterday my mom was wondering when KLove was going to start playing Christmas music. I look forward to when you do! Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas!

Dear Lisa,
This morning I woke up facing the fact that I didn't have much in my fridge for my kids to eat an overdrawn banking account and my kids telling what they wanted for Christmas knowing we may not can buy them anything. I began to find myself in that pity party and as I drove them to school I heard your interview with Matthew West about Given Christmas Away. Thank you so much for that time because God began to speak to me and tell me I have always supplied your needs. And I have so much to be thankful for including a husband and four kids that love the Lord. We leave in New Orleans and as I drove up to work I see hundreds of homeless people laying on the ground trying to get warm and God reminded me that last year Me my husband and our four kids collected blankets and made sandwiches and handed them out to these homeless people and it was such a joy to see my four kids who are 14, 6, 6, and 4 share food, blankets and the love of Jesus with a homeless person. So this Christmas we will give Christmas away to the homeless. I was reminded today that yes we are going through tuff times but we have a home a bed a most of all the Love of Jesus we can give away and share with others. Thank you for doing what you do Klove because God spoke to me  today through you.

I'm one of the people trying to get the Christmas Songs played in the middle of July. Two reasons one there is not really any songs that I can play just for Thanksgiving(Which I would play all year too just like I do Easter and Christmas songs).  Two I am joyful for the reminder of what the Lord has given that it reminds me to try to give the day to the Lord.
Anyhow drove the long way to hear the phone call and song, because I really like the idea of Giving Christmas to someone.

This year I'm planing on adding a few children from church to my small gifts list to give them something for them.  My family had "adopted" one girl for Christmas in the past so this year I think I will add more.

"Give Christmas Away" is such an awesome and inspirational song. I love it. Its just the right song I'm trying to teach my kids this year. My husband and I are giving less this year to teach our children that this day was about the birth of Jesus. We're also trying to get other family members to believe that too. We'll pass this song around. It couldn't of come at a better time; a week before Thanksgiving. We all have so much to be thankful for and now with a beautiful song like this one we can give christmas away in our communities (sometimes it just takes inspiration). God Bless.

If we buy gifts for people in need but dont share the gospel with them, that is not Love. If we shovel snow from someones driveway but don't share the gospel with them, that is not love. If we buy someone a gift but never share the gospel with them that is not love. Why? Because they will have a clean driveway or a nice gift and will still end up in Hell! Give the gift of Life by sharing the Gospel with our lost and dying world. Learn to share your faith for free at www.wayofthemaster.com
God Bless You and Merry Christmas.

Something that we will be doing this year is baking cookies christmas eve and then on christmas day me and my 2 daughters will take them to a local nursing home and visit with the elderly and let them enjoy some home baked cookies. And of course share Gods love.

We have decided to not give as many gifts this year du to many reasons including the death of my wife in March.  I am giving Christmas away to my church because we have just lost our building due to financial struggles and and we are now starting to meet in my home which I have more than enough room to share with my friends that have lovingly taken such rich care of me these past 8 1/2 months.

If anyone is looking for a bed or other things. I would like to give it away because I realized that I can have everything material but if i don't have jesus in my life, it is pointless and then gifts and things are not fullfilling to you either. So, if anyone needs clothes or a nice white ikea bed. Please let me know.
God bless you,
Julia

This may sound goofy but it made me very proud of my 15 year old son.  One teacher was offering 10 bonus points if you brought in an item for the local food bank.  My son, David, was doing this even though he doesn't need the bonus points.  He is telling his teacher that he would like to not only donate to the needy by giving to the food bank but also by giving his 10 bonus points to a student who needs them.
