Biggest Loser - Danny Cahill

I truely love the klove radio program, I thank God for it . It is so positive and encouraging in the morning when I am heading to work. I need positive in my life right now . I am facing difficult things like a husband whos and alcoholic though I love him with all my heart, its killing me , the negative comments and we are in debt so bad . Sometimes I feel like giving up but I know my god is powerful and I love him so. Please pray  for us and know You are truly a blessing to me every morning. COnnie

Does Danny have a support group or something to help him now that he has lost the weight to keep it off??????

Thank you for sharing Danny's song with us!! What an inspiration! I myself lost 90 pounds this last year on Weight Watchers and it has completely changed my life. I can't take any of the credit, but must give all the glory to God!!

Danny is such an inspiration.  Ii went to high school with him in Midwest City Oklahoma.  He was then a leader and look at him now.  Danny you are and forever will be amazing

I really apperciate Danny and him giving god all the credit i am so inspried by him i weigh 400 pounds and am a 32 yr old wife and mom with two girls i had alot of trauma growing and lost 115 pounds in 8 months on my own but then gained it back in 4 months but now i have a better realtionship with god and know that i can do it with him and am so inspried by watching Danny. I have started over again i know that with god anything is possible. Thanks Somer

I was so disappointed!  I really wanted to hear this interview and I can only listen as I drive, so the way you broke up the interview I heard very little of it.

Hi, Lisa and Eric, and Danny! My name is Natalie. I am a 29 year old who has struggled with my weight my entire life! I've even had gastric bypass surgery only to gain most of my weight back. So, discouraging! Anyway, it's people like Danny who still gives me hope. I've dreamed of going on the Biggest Loser show, but always get discouraged, thinkin' I will never get that chance, not Natalie. Danny is very much an encouragement. Maybe something WILL happen for myself. I'll just put it in God's hands. I know He knows His plans for me. Well, thank-you guys for always lifting me up everyday. Your all such a Blessing! And, Danny, thank-you for giving God the glory for this amazing accomplishment!

I'm listening to you guys (Lisa and Eric) as well as your guest, Danny(BL), he just said something that was a light bulb moment.  That lady he spoke with at WM. . . I always thought the enemy would attack me that would be dark and ugly.  I just realized that the enemy is attacking me through my eating, the food I eat, the over consumtion that I gorge into.  This maybe my turning moment in my struggle with weight and food.  Love your show and the encouraging and uplifting music ya'll play.  God speaks to me through ya'lls show, thanx guys.

Danny - The weight loss is important yes - I am attempting to stay on that journey myself - and with the Grace of God I will make it as you have, but more importantly to hear you publicly state your love for God and to live your life daily walking with God is just WONDERFUL.  Best of Luck in your journey and may God Bless you and your family.

Oh my.  This story about Danny definately hit home with me. A year ago...I was on Weight Watchers...lost 37 pounds!  I was so determined....so focused.  I felt great...looked great and the glory went to God.  Well...then life, the devil and all of his side-steps..got me.  I put all and more of the weight back on. It's like a merry-go-round with the devil.  Food is necessary...over eating is not.  I know all of what I should know about losing it. But food..is my crutch...my feel-better answer to my troubles.  Even though I know better. I know and love God.  I love, cherish and share my gifts from God. I am a singer...have made a cd...have touched many people with my gifts...yet still (and probably why)...the devil uses food to distract me.  I have failed, but I can and will give it all to God. Satan has nothing on our Lord and Savior!  I am His first...and will (with His help and direction), stay focused on what I need to do.

My radio is always on in my house and ALWAYS on K-Love. You are always so uplifting...I have already done the Love Dare and now my husband who has been listening for a week or so has began. This morning he woke me up and told me how thankful for me he was...I said "you're doing the love dare aren't you", he just smiled. Thank you for giving him a reason to listen EVERY morning during a time when his faith is needing renewed.

Danny, this past season of the BL was the most inspiring and heart touching.  I'm a part of the Biggest Loser Club online and there's a huge thread of Christians working together over there to support and encourage each other on our "temple remodeling".  Just wanted to say Congratulations from the online BLC Christ-centered thread.  You inspire our faith by your living for the King.

I am a child of God, I have been over weight ALL my life I have never known a thin or "normal" weight day in my life.  I am 43 and 357lbs ... please pray for me to have the courage and strength of Christ to conform myself and walk closer to Christ.

How do I get moving, I mean I am committed to a new life change eating habit but I can't get off the couch!

I am somewhat surprised but not totally, to find out that Danny is a Christian. I saw his kindness and profound meekness on the show, and thought in my mind how he had so much Godlike actions.  How AWESOME is God, to use him through the Biggest Loser,and to proclaim how God pulled him through his biggest trial and addictions.  
I too have struggled with addictions in alcoholism and God saved me in 1999.  Then brought me to the top with his love and grace by pulling me through a journey with breast cancer, in 2003,and then again metastatic breast cancer to my liver in 2008.  God and his miraculous hands has healed me, and this month I will be clear for one year.  GOD IS AWESOME!!  I am waiting for God's lead to use me for His glory in my journey and listen to His voice through His Word daily. Danny I will pray for your continued proclamation of God's love and healing of your addiction, and that he will continue to use you in this area to give others hope.  God Bless you and guide you each and every day.

Danny, I wanted to know how you figured out how many calories you could eat, and how that must have adjusted frequently during your weight loss?  I always find it interesting that it seems the hardest part of the show is the exercising, I never hear anyone complain about not eating the foods that got them in trouble in the first place.  How did you avoid the temptation.  Keep inspiring!!!

I had to comment on the MArk McGuire story. As Christians, we have a nasty reputation of "shooting our wounded". There is a ministry called Celebrate Recovery where we don't shhott he woulded; instead, we welcome them back no matter how many times they slip or fall. It is for anyone with a hurt, habit, or hang-up, and that included every single person I've ever met! Jesus is the only answer to our problem, whatever it is. I started attending because my husband had a problem (alcohol & drugs) and stayed because of ME. Thank God that He is bigger than anything I have to deal with!

I started listening to your show just a few months ago. When my dogs have to stay in the house all day because of the weather I leave the radio on all day for them. They act better. God can do anything! I'd like to tell people some things. Just think:
When something goes wrong. Who gets the blame? We humans blame God! Wow! We all forget that God is such a fair and just God he gives US chioces! It isn't his fault if we choose wrong. Yes, we all make mistakes! The news always makes things look worse than usual. I mean look how they are critisizing Tiger Woods. Weeellllll, isn't that something! "Ye, without sin cast the first stone." Jesus said. Boy, that hits home with most all people. Jesus also said, "Judge not, that ye be judged." Matthew 7:1. But we as humans totally forget that. I asked God 2-3 years ago to help me remember that. When I start pondering on things that we humans get ourselves into I begin to judge. So I don't want to judge anyone. That is a dangerous thing for us to do...JUDGE.
I Thank God for K-LOVE and your show it has helped me, along with God, to improve myself in many different ways. My 14 year old son leaves his radio on K-LOVE all night while he sleeps but me I can't sleep that way. I sleep very little as it is. The noise would keep me awake more.

If you read my letter on the air please don't use my last name (you probably can't say it right anyway most people can't, it is French and at the beginning of my family's history it had many other letters in it. You say it like this Suesong-drop the e and g but keep the pronuncation Sue). Maybe you can say, Gina in Oklahoma.

Danny has been such a great up blessing to watch on Biggest Looser. I too have started a weight loss battle. I have lost 70 pounds since Aug. I would still like to loose another 55 pounds. Everyday is a battle. When people tell me how good I look, my reply is always, "Pray for me!" I know with God's help, I can win this battle. I was listening to a man talk about taking care of the temple of God!(our bodies!) I thought wow! Look what I have done to my temple! Thank you for an awesome interveiw and its wonderful to know, there are people like Danny who give all Glory to our Awesome God. God Bless

You are such a inspiritation.  I watch you from day 1 on biggest loser, you are awesome.  I have struggled with weight all my life.  In 1999 I had a tumor removed that weight 42 pounds and I started losing weight and I got out of control with it that I got gastric bypass and it was a nightmare. All I want is to be skinny even if it's one day.  I gained all of my weight back.  I have sometimes think on giving up.  I'm so discussed with my self.  May God you and your family.

I just want to say I love listening to KLOVE I listen to it on my way to work every morning and while I'm at work and on my way home. Ya'll have so many touching stories, some of them really touch my heart. I have to carry tissues with me because I never know when I need them. The Lord has really BLESSED me and my family this last year. Thanks for the good music you play.

Sorry Danny I put this comment on the wrong page. But I want you to know that I am over weight and you have to have strong will power to loose the weight. I have since then started a diet and I pray everyday for the will power. I just want to tell you that I love your music. Keep up the good work on your weight loss you look good.

I've been blessed by so many of the comments.  I want to encourage Natalie Dean and others like her that you can start this very minute!  You don't need to be on the Biggest Loser.  My aha moments came when I was reading the Blessed Life by FB Meyer.  (You can google it - it's out of print now).  He was talking about "weights" in our life that may not be outright sin but we know it's wrong.  From what he said, I prayed and confessed that I liked overeating even though I knew it's wrong and that I wanted to eat what, when and how much I wanted but I told God that I was "willing to be made willing."  If you are sincere and open to the Lord changing you, He will do it...and He did.  I have now kept 40 pounds off for 6 years.  You don't have the power but our Father does and He shares it abundantly!
