Haiti

Lisa, I spent 10 days on a Mission trip in Haiti back in 1988.  It was life changing for me, and I've never been able to make it back, but I have a huge heart for these people.  One of the members of my team came back from that first trip, sold his house and he and his wife spent 20 years in full-time mission work there and just retired last summer.  Lifeline Christian Mission is who I went through and they still have a ministry there.  The link below is an update directly from one of the ladies I know who is there.  Please check it out.  I just can't imagine.  I know you said you have a friend there too, we ARE praying Blessings from Brownsburg, Indiana.

Praise God! I just got word from a good friend who happens to be a missionary in Haiti. He and his family are okay. They aren't sure about his wife's family yet or their congregation. I have been on 2 mission trips to Haiti and am trying to get back down for another.  My heart is broken as to what has happen.   They have  very little as it is, now they have nothing, yet they are very proud people, they are always smiling and they never complain.  I have two friends in Haiti right now one I have heard from that she is ok, the other I am waiting on word.  Thank you for starting this.

My family, like many, have close ties to Haiti. My parents lived there for 8 years and my older brothers were born there. My Grandpa and Dad work for a company called Christain World Outreach. They do lots of work in Haiti and some in Africa. They have a feminine training center down that that allows women to become educated so they can have jobs and make a living. Many of the people that work for my Dad's company live in Haiti and are Haitian. They are suffering. My Dad heard from one of them but doesn't know how the other people are. Just keep praying. God is good and although I don't understand what he is doing he has a great plan. Thanks again for all the prayers.

we are not allowed to listen to the radio at work, but every morning on my way to work I listen to you guys. It touched my heart to hear you mention Haiti this morning. My uncle lives in his Haiti with his 4 kids and wife, and since all phone lines are out we don't know if he's ok or not. yesterday as the earthquate was happening a friend of mine said her uncle called to say the house he was in just collasped, then communication got cut off. we don't know if he's the only person who got out, or if his wife and their baby are ok.
Please pray for my mom so that she can be strong. My uncle is the only brother she has left. her youngest brother got carried away in a hurricane when I was just a kid back in Haiti, and his body was found 3 days later near the cemetary.

Good Morning! My in laws have been in Haiti for 20 plus years. They have a huge ministry and school in Port a Prince. They bought an old resort in Port a Prince and turned it into Morning Star Christian Academy that has over 200 students. They also have Fishers Of Men Ministry International that reaches across the island that has planted many churches throughout the nation. We have received word that my father in law and sister in law are ok and my mother in law was state side so we praise God they are ok! But as you see there are so many that are not!!!! I just got to work and I turned on KLOVE, because I knew that you would be talking about Haiti. Then you read the letter from Cindy McMartin and I know her! I am best friends with her youngest daugther, Michelle. I visited Bruce and Cindy in Haiti in Dec 2005. I found out last night that they were safe, thank God. Please continue to pray for them. The city is just in shambles and as their moving letter describes they desperately need some hope in the midst of the devestation. Thank you for sharing their letter.

I adopted 4 children from Haiti 3 years ago,  I just wanted everyone to know that the children at Haiti children's rescue mission are safe.  I don't know how damaged the orphanage is but the children and the paster are all safe.  They slept outside last night.  Please pray for the children of Haiti,  There are many orphans and I fear there may be many more after this devastating earthquake.

My wife and I were just in Haiti in November with a team of about 10 fixing roofs on our churches schools. It is defintley heart wrenching to see and hear what has happened. We met so many amazing people while we were there visiting churches along with fixing roofs. My heart and prayers go out to all of Haiti!

Please Pray for all those that have given there lives to serving God in Haiti. I pray that with the strength of God, and the faith God fills them with, that they are able to help comfort those hearts that are suffering, and searching for a glimpse of Hope. Please God be with all those searching  for the 'Why & How Could', show them your amazing love, fill them with the courage to keep moving forward, But, most of all God be the friend they need to listen to there hurting hearts, the shoulder to lean on..Please God use those friends that have given themselves to spreading your word in Haiti, give them the words to  share, the vision to see the path you have for the hurting souls in Haiti, so that they may help guide them to the path of your wondrous love, mercy, strength, encouragement, and that never ending Love of our Protector, Friend, Father.

My heart is saddened by the tragedy in Haiti.  We have friends who are in the process of adopting 4 children from there.  Mark and Kim have received information that their kids are okay, as well as the mission they are a part of.  However, they are still feeling the aftershocks.  Please pray for Grace Children Home (Lashbrook Family Ministries) in Port de Paix, Haiti along with Wally, Rose, Lily & Steve, that they remain safe.  Please also pray for Mark & Kim as this adoption process has been ongoing for 4 years. They are great Christian people who just want to bring their children home and I pray that they don't have to start the adoption process over again because of this.  I know God is in control as well as the awesome power of prayer.

My heart is heavy for the loss in Haiti.  although I never been to Haiti my church help sponsor churches and orphanages there. Since 2008 I have received the Hands and Feets e newsletter. I place each letter in my prayer book. Each Thursday prayer is given to the different ministries in the book.  I am so glad that Mark, Jo, staff, volunteers and children are safe.  Praise God that the orphanage is ok.  Please continue to pray for all our brothers and sisters in Christ and the Haiti.  Thank you Klove for  providing us with the latest updates.  Saints, this is the time for us to pray and let the love of Christ shine through us.  Debby

My heart is broken for all those in Haiti. I have been there on two missions trips and can't wait to go back; it is truly an amazing place for many reasons and has a special place in my heart. They have so little already, I can't imagine what it's like now. I'm praying for everyone and know God is in control and can use this for His glory. Thank you so much for keeping us updated.

Haiti needs us. If I was old enoph I would go and try to mission there but I'm only 12. I have been listning to K-Love since I can remember. Sooooo sorry if I am not alowed here at this age but I feel so bad. I am nearly crying here in school. I was listning to the radio on my I-pod and was on the computer so I came here. My Granddad passed not to long ago and he had accepted Jesus into his heart and all I could do was weep. I love Jesus and hope to see him soon, But not to soon. Amen. May he bless all whom reads.

Kids Around the World has been active in Haiti this pst year building playgrounds and reaching out to the children.  Currently they have a 40' container leaving next week with supplies for an orphange, including food and vitamin supplements.

Men who do things without being told draw the most wages.
