I am at home recovering from surgery. The only thing taking my mind off my pain IS CANDY. Sour Skittles savored one at a time. First the sour then the sweet. Thanks Chris for singing the candy song this morning.

My daughter Madalyn and I absolutely LOVE this album!!!  We fight over the CD!  It is rare that I can say this about an album but I LOVE EVERY SONG ON THE CD!!!  IT IS WONDERFUL!!!  

One of the songs that I think a lot of people need to hear is the song 70 time 7 (don't know if that's the correct title).  Our hurting families need to hear it and know that no matter what they lived in or through...forgiveness is the only way out!

Keep it up Chris!  God has truly bless you!  Love you voice...especially when you go into falcetta!(sp)

Can't believe Chris is on K-Love! He's such a great person and he deserves everything he's getting and more.

Just wanted to let you know how very special Chris August's starry night song is to us.  My daughter who is 12 went to Christian camp this past July.  On the very last night of camp she was laying down beneath the most amazing blanket of stars and she felt the holy presence of God come into her heart.  She gave her life to Jesus right then through many tears and when she looked back up at the sky the stars were brighter than before.  When she came home to tell us about it, the starry night song came over the radio as she was telling the story -God's perfect timing.  We were overjoyed.  Starry night is now Ione's salvation song.  Thank you Chris!

I had to comment on Chris' song.  When I was a teenager and very little faith, I would rely on the stars in the sky to verify God's enormous reality for me.  He is everywhere!  Thank you Chris for allowing God to work through you.

First of all my 8 year old LOVED the candy rap.  He was totally down with it!!

Now - this is a word to Chris and all Christian singer/songwriters......as a fellow songwriter I aspire to sing the songs God has given me but my fear of rejection and lack of confidence in my ability to sing in front of people holds me back and it is so moving and inspiring to hear folks like Chris belting it out for Jesus...inspiring yet condemning as well because I know I should be doing the same...maybe not on radio or concert stage but at least sharing the blessing with the rest of the body...but how?  You go Chris!  Keep up the good work.  I personally liked Starry Night before I heard why you wrote it but really like it now to hear the experience and inspiration behind it and to know it wasn't mechanical and please don't say it was just a random song...it was your soul cry and that is why it is so popular because people can relate to it.  Thank you for doing what you do.  God bless you!

I absolutely love the song Starry Night! I will have to buy the who album for myself before I leave for college. But I just wanted to say thank you to Chris because this song has changed the way I look at things. I have the song stuck in my head all day long everyday and it reminds me that everything was made by Him. It's truly an understatement to say He is amazing. I was baptized just two months ago, but gave my life to Him about a year ago now. It's hard to remember to pray and live your life for Him and not your own benefit. Again I say Thank You Chris because your song has truly made me look at things in a whole new perspective!

I just heard the song Seven times Seventy on KLove.  Oh my.  It reminds me of my son.  He has gone through so much in his life. The hurt caused by a broken home and even things I did to him. I know he has forgiven me but so pray that he forgives others that continue to hurt him today.  Forgiveness is so important it not only frees you it allows God to work through that other person.  Thanks Chris, you are awesome.  Shouting blessing in your life.  God bless.

This morning as I was out running an errand I just happened to hear you guys talking to Chris about his song 70 times 7.  As he began talking about the song and his process for writing it I began to think about my 17 year old nephew, Alex who has lived in the same house his whole life and has also watched his family fall apart the last couple of years.  With a mom working out of town and a dad who was not engaged with his family he also had alot of alone time.  His parents are in the process of getting a divorce and he is at odds with his dad as of today. The song brought me to tears for the whole situation and I hope one day soon that Alex can work through things with his dad and their relationship be restored.  Thank you Lisa and Eric and Chris for sharing such an amazing song and story.  I plan to give my nephew a copy of the song.  Blessings to you all!!!
