 FatWallet.com created the Black Friday Deal Finder and iPhone app that helps shoppers compare all of the Black Friday deals by store, product, brand and price. As the crowds grow deeper and the lines start to creep out the door, your patience can be saved by the FatWallet mobile app -- it can find and check all the best deals while you're on the go.

 Offers.com reported that only 18 percent of consumers surveyed plan to visit the malls on the Friday after Thanksgiving. The deal-tracker web site posts similar door-buster deals and coupons online.

 NoBetterDeal.com is another great web store that offers major discounts year round. By doingbusiness in the secondary markets (product returns and surplus inventory) the company is able to sell items for 40 to 70 percent off the retail price.

Hot Dogs and beans! And very thankful for them as we had NO money and someone where my roommate had just started working gave her 20 bucks. We had just arrived on Mustang Island in the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of TX in an old school bus. 3 of my five kids were with me and we were thrilled to be living literally on the beach in the county park. I had been to the post office and heard a woman say "OH, another smoked turkey! We get so many of these." And it hit me hard. I wrote a letter to the editor of the weekly paper. Within a couple weeks we had a house to rent, even though we wouldn't have any money to pay the rent until Jan 1! For Christmas my girls walked to the store to try and buy a tree for five dollars. The clerk let them take a small one. Then we went to the beach to pick up shells with holes in them. I bought paper ribbon and we tied the shells to the tree. No lights but we made a cardboard star for the top, covered it with tin foil and pasted pictures of the nativity out of a catalog on it. I HAD to have my nativity. I had a ton of Christmas stuff back in MS in storage. Christmas am when we opened the door it wouldn't budge. There were 2 boxes of gifts for the kids, my son had shown up Christmas Eve and there was even something for him!, and some food. That was our introduction to Port Aransas, Texas. A wonderfully friendly, caring and loving community. We lived there for 30 years!
Even beans and wieners can be Thanksgiving IF you are grateful for all the blessings you get.
BTW we had no money for gifts that year so we each wrote out gifts of our time. Like "I'll do your dishes for a week." "I'll make your bed for a week "I take your turn taking out the trash" etc. and they did them! Was maybe the best Thanksgiving and Christmas we ever had!

I don't think I've ever seen a thanksgiving themed movie, I'll have to look for one!
